Aerotech steelfiber shafts- How do you choose which one?
I am looking at getting some Aerotech steelfiber shafts. I have some orthopedic issues and need as much vibration dampening as possible. I am currently playing the Nippon Modus3 Tour 120 stiff flex shafts and love them. I am trying to decide which weight steelfiber shaft this would correlate with. Am I better off with the i95, i110, or i120? I am happy with my current ball flight and weight of the Modus3, but had heard that you should go down in weight with the Steelfibers. Is this correct?

Diamana X Stiff - Experiences?
I can't wait to hit my diamana X 70stiff shaft. Unfortunately, due to winter and elbow surgery, I won't hit mine until April. It is sitting here in the plastic, taunting me. I pull it out every week or two, ogle it, then put it away. Let me know what you think of it.

Callaway Xtreme 9.5 coming sometime in January. Decide on Fubuki K vs. Diamana X vs. Motore Speeder Tour Spec Crazy 435 with LS Noir 7.4 shaft Launch Lab with Tour Spec Titleist 913 D2 with Fubuki 63 (a gift, never would have bought this. Already believe it will be the 435 vs. Xtreme

Ok, I'm waiting to hear how nothing could really keep up with the distance of the 435, despite it's dreadful sound and feel.

Project Black Widow : Head found and decided
Did I miss something? I was expecting to see some sort of write up on the TP07s. From this post, it looks like you have already dismissed it.

Yeah, I'm with you on this one. I am going to give it a fair shake this spring. The Launch Lab will be put away for the season, so I will really be focusing on the 435 vs. the Callaway Xtreme with the Diamana X shaft. The rest of the bag is set, so this will be the only equipment issue that I can focus on for the next season. I can't wait to see which one ends up as my gamer for the next year.

Dabbling with kamui, kpx or tp?
The 10.5 degree Razr Fit and Fubuki K proved to be too high launching a combination for me. I have a swing speed around 106 mph with a spin rate around 3000 rpm with the Fit/Fubuki combo. When I went to the 435/LS Noir combo. in 9.5 degrees, I didn't get on a Launch monitor, but could easily see a better/lower trajectory and more roll out than my Fit/Fubuki combo. I will say that the Fit/Fubuki combo. had a much better feel to it so far in comparison, and was very smooth.

Dabbling with kamui, kpx or tp?
I wonder that myself, but I think I need to get it out on the course a few times and see. I have only played with it 3 times on the course, and in each of those rounds, I hit a couple of bombs that went as far as I have ever hit the ball. I definitely saw the potential that everyone has mentioned with both the 435 head, and the Crazy shafts. My only complaint so far has really been the sound and feel, which I think kind of go together. The 435 head has a very harsh sound and feel that I just don't care for. However, if I can consistently hit it as far as anything else I have swung, then I will get used to it. The Diamana X will be an interesting project for me this coming season, and I can't wait to give that a go as well.

Yes, my 435 has a Crazy LS Noir 7.4 shaft in it, my Launch Lab has a Motore Speeder Tour Spec VC 6.2 X flex, and I have bought a Diamana X limited series 70stiff that I am holding onto for my Callaway Xtreme once it comes. I tend to fluctuate between stiff and x flex, although I think the Tour Spec in X flex maybe alittle too stiff for me. That's why I went up to the 70 series for the Diamana X in a stiff flex. I'm hoping that hits the sweet spot. Very excited to try this shaft as you have all spoken so highly of it.

I honestly didn't have enough time with the 435 to feel like I had a sense of the club. I also have a Launch Lab that I also got at the end of the golf season, and then I am planning on getting the Callaway Xtreme next month. I think I need to sort between these 3 drivers before I buy anything else.

Dabbling with kamui, kpx or tp?
Well, I have a few questions about this. I went to the website, and it appears they are making the TP07s in left handed. That's a big surprise! I saw earlier references to the 435. My questions for those who have hit both: is the TP07 more forgiving and have better feel than the 435. I love the low spin and length of the 435, but the feel and sound of it flat out sucks. If the TP07s has the same low spin and same length, but with a better feel, that could be very enticing. Any experience with these two?

It's (almost) Winter in the Midwest. If you won the lottery...
I would love to have a set of Miura baby blades (small blades) but they don't make them in left handed. Apparently, it costs about $100,000 to make the dyes to forge these irons, and they don't believe there is enough of a left market to make economic sense. If I had unlimited money, I would pay for the dyes, and therefore make these blades available to all lefties. Same for the Epon Personals. Feeling it by the way, we just got 8 inches of snow today in Indy. I am having surgery on Friday and won't be able to swing a golf club for 3 months! This will be tough.

Diamana X 60 (s) and Matrix Ozik TP6HD (s)
I have a Diamana X 70S on the way. Unfortunately, I won't be able to try it until March due to upcoming surgery. Can't wait to hit it. Also have to decide on what head to pair it with.

Best JDM Fairway wood?
Well I just bought a Crazy FW80 shaft from Tario in anticipation of putting it in a 3 wood. I have not chosen the 3 wood head to pair with it. I like small heads that I can hit off the deck. Was planning to put it in a Ping i20 as the club head suits my eye. All this JDM talk has made me wonder if that is a waste of a great shaft. Any suggestions? Oh and by the way, I am LEFT-HANDED, so that limits my choices immensely.

Which wins, and why?? Diamana x, FEX proto, Z9003s, BB7
Seems similar to me. I also have a Motore Speeder VC 6.2 Tour Spec in X flex and it feels significantly stiffer than the Fubuki in X flex. Surprisingly, I seem to hit both well. If I ever buy another stiff flex shaft, I will buy one in the 70 gram range. Can you feel a difference when torque drops below 3.0? All my shafts I have played have been in the 3.0 - 3.5 range for torque.

I think a lot of it has to do with getting the right flex and weight shaft. I struggle with this constantly. I play an x flex in the Fubuki K series and it feels very good to me. I got a Crazy 80 II in 7.7, and I couldn't feel it load. I changed to the Crazy LS Noir 7.4, and now I worry that it may be alittle too whippy for me. I just purchased a Quadra Fire Express Max WBQ in SX flex and it is on the way. I have heard some really good things about this shaft so I am excited to give it a whirl. I go back and forth between stiff and x flex depending on the shaft. I think that I really live in between these flexes, so I am hoping that the FEX in SX hits the spot. I tend to play shafts in the 60 gram range, rather than the 70+ gram range.

New Driver Project : White Mamba
It is hard to compare ball flights in drivers with different lofts and different shafts. Too many variables going on here. I had a Crazy 435 with the la bamba CB 80 II Nero 7.7. I played one round with it and shot a 77, which is one of my better rounds. I sent it back, as the 7.7 felt like a board, very stiff for me. I am swapping it out for the 80 LS Noir 7.4. My loft is a 9.5 degree and for that one round, it hit low bullets with very little spin. I just couldn't load the shaft. Look forward to hearing how the next few rounds go. I hear that this club can take a little getting used to.
