Crazy/jBeam 435 driver
I am starting to shake the rust off. I was struggling off the tee, then I took a lesson, and the pro immediately recognized what I was doing and fixed it. I took the Crazy 435 with 80 LS Noir 7.4 shaft back out, and boy did things go better. I started making center contact, and the harsh feel improved dramatically. It is still a "hard feeling" face, but not harsh anymore. I still contend that it is a small sweet spot compared to a lot of modern drivers, but center contact is rewarded nicely. I started hitting a draw, which I like, and on about 6 tee shots, I hit 275-280 yards and in the fairway on 5 of 6 tee shots. I now have to choose between this and the Callaway RFX which is also a very good looking driver with impressive performance.

Looking for 3 wood suggestions
I put a Crazy FW80 in my X Hot Pro 15 degree and it is a fantastic combination. This is going to be in my bag for a long time, I hope. I hit one off the tee 20 yards further than I have ever hit a 3 wood before. If the Crazy shaft isn't exotic enough, I believe they make a Japanese version of this club that is not available in the U.S., so that may fit the bill for you. I'm sure Chris or Tario could get that one for you.

Jbeam 10* with Labomba white 7.2 1st day Review
I have to admit, I was one of the guys bashing the feel of the 435. I still think the feel is harsh compared to a lot of other drivers, but I am finding that the feel is better when I hit the sweet spot. For some reason, I was hitting a lot of shots near the heel of the club but didn't realize it because it was still travelling a good distance. I am still undecided about this club, but I do not deny how long it is on well struck shots. I find the sweet spot to be small, but that may have to do with my swing.

Jbeam 10* with Labomba white 7.2 1st day Review
Does Continental golf do a good job refinishing club heads? How much do they charge and what is the turn around time?

Syard T388 Another Superb Round
It is a pretty looking club. Shame they don't make it in left handed.

Jbeam 435 10 degree inbound what shaft??????
I have the 80LS Noir 7.4 on a 435 head. My swing speed is around 105 mph with a smooth swing and this shaft flex is a good match for me.

2 crazy driver shafts
Let me know if you want to sell one of those Stingers in your bag.

Crazy/jBeam 435 driver
Oh boy, that is not what I wanted to hear. If it plays like an 8.2 from a stiffness standpoint, then it is clearly to stiff for me. I will give it a try, but will likely end up having to sell it.

Crazy/jBeam 435 driver
I can't comment on any other Crazy/jBeam driver. I am attracted to this driver. It is a beautifully shaped classic driver with a deep face but overall medium sized footprint. Clearly a player's club. I will have to improve my consistency to game this. It gives me incentive to shorten my backswing, which, I believe is where most of my inconsistency comes from. Now if the Diamana X with the RFX can deliver similar performance with more forgiveness and better feel, then the 435 will get benched.

Crazy/jBeam 435 driver
I am hesitant to mention this, but if you like a soft feeling face, you will not like the feel of the 435; it is the exact opposite. The face feels hard. In fact, that was my initial thought yesterday when hitting them. If you like a "soft feeling face" and are used to one, this is going to feel quite different. Just trying to prepare you. I used to think that I would trade feel and forgiveness for added length; now I have revised that sentiment. I would really want a driver that is the best blend of these 3 characteristics.

Crazy/jBeam 435 driver
My swing speed ranges from 103 - 106 mph. I have a relatively smooth swing, with a backswing that goes past parallel (working on this). I tend to fall between stiff and x flex depending on the shaft. I fell between the 7.7 and 7.4 for the LS Noir shaft, and went with the 7.4. I think it is the right shaft for me, but could probably play the 7.7 as well. It is just hard to know without hitting both side by side with the same head on a launch monitor, which would be close to impossible here in Indy. I have a Diamana X 70 stiff shaft waiting on the RFX driver. I heard this plays alittle stiffer, so went with the higher weighted shaft in the stiff flex. I always struggle to know whether to go with more weight, or stiffer flex.

Crazy/jBeam 435 driver
I am going to practice with it for the next few weeks and see if my swing can do it justice. I will probably end up needing something more forgiving, but we will see.

Crazy/jBeam 435 driver
I know this topic has come up in various forms over the past few months, but I had a recent experience that I thought may be worth resurrecting. I bought a Crazy 435 driver in the fall with a Crazy CB 80 LS Noir 7.4 shaft. I found, at the time that I could hit some monster drives, but I was fairly inconsistent with it. I had elbow surgery in December, and just started swinging the club again 2 weeks ago. I just got out on the course today, and started hitting it again. The driver started out with the same harsh feel that I remembered from the fall. I made a small adjustment, and started lining up with the ball nearer the toe at address, as I felt like I was hitting the heel, and I finally found the sweet spot. It must be a small sweet spot, but it seemed far less harsh. I hit several drives dead center, and it felt much better. Also, I was rewarded with a long penetrating drive with a baby draw, which I love. It was 58 degrees here today, and while I had to play two irons stronger due to conditions, my drives were ending up in the same spot as they do in the summer. I am still waiting on my RFX driver to arrive sometime in the next few weeks, but this is going to be more of a competition for the starting spot in the bag than I originally thought.

Sold the Personals, now what to get... Advice please. Also - CoolClubs in Scottsdale experience - Fantastic.
If Cool Clubs determined that the Recoil shafts you got aren't stiff enough for your swing, I don't know why you would keep them; even if you tip them. Wouldn't you be better off selling the shafts, and then, if you really like them, getting an extra stiff, heavier shaft tipped? Unless of course you already have the stiffest, heaviest shaft they make; then you may need to give up on those shafts.

Why there is no Epon on TSG anymore.
Well I can't claim too much alcohol, but I was working all night. Let me remove this and apologize for an overtired mistake.

Why there is no Epon on TSG anymore.
Well said. I am surprised you weren't successful in your business dealings in Japan as you seem to understand the culture and appreciate it's tradition and culture. I guess it is 20/20 hindsight.

USPS does it again!!
Mob replied to nobmontana's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI had the same thing happen 3 months ago. It was a tremendous pain to deal with. Here is what I learned the hard way. I had to go to the post office and get an International Claim Form (you can also print it off their website). Then you have to turn in the form locally, along with the golf shaft and box it came in. Very important to have the box as well. Make sure you take plenty of pictures. Eventually, there is a postal office in Cincinnati called the International Inquiry Office with the phone number (513) 864-0094. They will contact you, and after they have contacted the post office in Japan, the seller in Japan can then follow up the claim on their side. Hope this helps.

Home Simulators/Launch Monitors
Mob replied to MoreBeerBetterGolf's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI don't know what your garage space is like, but there could be significant other costs as well; ie: carpeting, heat, couch, etc. to complete the room. I was thinking of the same thing, but I would probably have to put $10k into the room just to make it really comfortable before even buying the launch monitor, t.v. screen, etc.

Diamana x 60s
That is interesting, this site won't let me write the name of the auction site that has this shaft, it automatically changes it to tourspecgolf.
