You are making me feel better for only having 5 sets and 7 drivers. I would never sell my copper 302s but I guess you should never say never.

I love mine!! Can't believe you are selling these. Didn't they stop making their irons in copper? I heard now they only do wedges in copper. Someone is going to be very happy with these.
  3. Love the burning copper Yamada. Tried to find one in left handed but no dice.
  4. Do you know if the AF Tour CB will come in left handed?
  5. Tough question as I have irons that have been produced through each method and love them both. I love my Epon AF302s and I love my Miuras. Obviously these irons play very differently due to design, but I can't say that I really prefer one over the other.
  6. Does UST make their own shaft? I tend to like the Recoils and Chrome shaft.
  7. Happy New Year
  8. Any feedback from Craig on how it plays?

The best shaft for me was the Crazy LS Noir 7.4 and it is paired with a Crazy 435 head. I struggle with this head, as my miss is near the heel, which doesn't go well with this head. On well struck drives my numbers were: swing speed 101 mph (my typical ss is around 105 mph), smash 1.49-1.5, launch angle 12 degrees, spin 2200 rpm, ball speed was between 146-150 mph, carry yardage 240-250 yards, and total yardage 270-275 yards. I am going through a little bit of a swing change, so I am hitting the ball all over the face right now. I gave you the averages for my well struck drives only. Swing speed is down right now as well, but not sure why that is. I feel like I am swinging pretty hard, but the Flightscope disagrees with me on this point. I am going to buy another one of these shafts to keep, now that I know how well it suits my swing. I just went back to hit on the Flightscope again this morning and it confirmed the initial findings. Acceleration profile and speed profile still look much better with this shaft, than most of my others. The second best shaft for my swing was the Fubuki K series 60X.

It is pretty interesting when you have someone adept at it, explaining it. I barely understand it. It is neat to see the acceleration and speed profile lines in a shaft that is too stiff, not stiff enough, and just right. You can really see how the line changes with these different profiles. It was also interesting in how a shaft that felt "good", typically had a very smooth speed profile, compared with one that didn't match my swing. Most of the fitters I have used in the past ignore this function of Flightscope, because I don't think they really understand it themselves.

So I have been in search of the right shaft for my golf swing. Luckily, I have a very knowledgeable club fitter here in Indianapolis, who I just started working with on this project. In addition to the typical numbers that we all look at, he tends to look at the speed profile and acceleration profile, two of the tools on Flightscope, that help him see exactly how a shaft is performing. I may get this slightly wrong, but the speed profile gives you an idea of how the shaft works with the force you put on the shaft throughout the swing, and the acceleration profile can show you how the tip of the shaft is performing at the top of the backswing and at impact. If there is an upward deflection in the acceleration profile at impact, it means the shaft is too soft in the tip. If there is a downward deflection in the acceleration profile at impact, it means the shaft is too stiff. I went through a few shafts that I already know work for me, and we tested them all during a few different sessions. Diamana X 70stiff- Looked good overall. The speed profile indicated that I was having to work a little bit too much to get the shaft to do what I wanted, and I felt that to be accurate. UST Elements Chrome 6F4T- Looked good overall, but a little soft in the tip. Aldila Tour Green stiff- Everyone talks about how stout this shaft is, but the acceleration profile indicated that the tip was also a little soft for my swing. I struggled to hit it consistently, which goes along with a tip that is too soft. I really didn't love the feel of this shaft. Quadra Fire Express Max WBQ- Looked good overall. I honestly can't remember all the details of this one, but I think something about it was slightly wrong for me. Crazy CB LS Noir 7.4- Looked just PERFECT in both the acceleration and speed profiles. This was the shaft Tario fit me for via email 3 years ago. We started with the 7.7, but it felt too stiff for me, so we changed it to the 7.4 Obviously, each club had a different head, which would affect the numbers, but that is why I just wanted to share the speed and acceleration profiles, which are reflective of shaft performance, independent of club head, assuming head weights are similar. I guess I need to buy a few more of these, now that i know that it is the best shaft for my swing. He then put it on the MOI shaft analyzer and told me that my MOI to shoot for is around 2813, as that is what the Crazy measured.
  12. If they made them in left handed, I would buy them in a heartbeat.
  13. Chris, How do I go about getting an estimate on refinishing an Epon 210 KGX wedge? Jean-Pierre

I love my Epon 302's but they are a very soft feel. You barely feel impact when you hit the sweetspot. This does not describe what you are looking for.
  15. Tempting, I will have to think about that one.
  16. i have been curious about this shaft for some time. How does it play? Smooth or boardy? Kick? Draw or Fade biased? What about it did you not like or did the bend profile just not match your swing?
  17. Congratulations! Your life will certainly change for the better. don't get too caught up in the stressful issues of parenthood, without taking time to enjoy it. It is a lot of work, much of which is unappreciated, but still very special. Each stage of parenthood is great, and the problems you deal with change along the way. I now have a 15, 13, and 11 year old. Looking back at their pictures as little kids always brings a huge smile to my face. Good luck tomorrow.
  18. Looks great! Nice job. I am kind of on the fence as far as entering the putter quest goes right now, so hopefully I don't follow in your foot steps. Lucky for me, I am left handed and my options are limited. I did see a damascus steel black oxide Lujosi putter and it has me very interested.

Very impressed with that putter. I am drawn to anything copper for some reason. It has me wondering about a copper lefty putter.
  20. So I am trying to decide on a new fairway shaft. I am waffling between getting another Crazy FW80, which I know performs well for me, or a Quadra Fire Express 75SX fwy shaft. I like the Quadra Max WBQ that I have in my driver, and leaning that way for a fwy experiment. Anyone play both in fwy wood and can compare?

I think the new Epon Personal 2.0 would look spectacular in copper
  22. What are the symbols on the back of this wedge?
  23. I am a big fan of Fubuki shafts. I guess they match my swing. Prefer the K series to the Alpha, but like both. They play a little soft to flex, so you would likely need an x flex. I have the x flex in my driver and I think you would need something a little more stout than me. My driver ss is around 105 mph.
  24. UST Recoil F4 125 Prototype shafts
  25. I had Continental golf refinish my X Hot Pro 3 wood in Matte Black and it looks great. Very happy with their work, and I am a little bit of a perfectionist.
