You can tell a skilled grinder when...
yup, originally I was told it's the same but then confirmed it is indeed different in volume and face material. Tomorrow I will be doing a full A-Grind post and several days later Modart.

Golf Fair
Show was small but I got some juicy bits I haven't posted yet. Seven didn't have a booth, there is no return on that investment. This years show was smallest ever, last year was traumatizing with two massive snow days shutting down transportation and keeping the show goers at home. Many more posts and pics to come though.

Basileus 2015 AAA Shaft 80T T1100G
The Basileus 2015 AAA Limited 500 Shaft is coming in March but with only 500 shafts made they are nearly all pre reserved with some specifications already sold out. Basileus is owned by the company called Triphas (Tri-Fuss) and each year they release a uber high end model using the absolute best materials from their suppliers with a design they sets the bar higher in shaft making. In 2013 the first AAA Basileus shaft was launched It was PAN Based 60T material ( VERY GOOD ) and golfers in Japan loved it because it was very stable yet you had lots of feel and kick then the year after in 2014 full length 80T carbon was used and while it didn't feel as good as the 2013 version it felt a little more boardy it was still an extremely stable shaft. Enter 2015 a new material called Torray T1100G 80T material is being used which is known as Toray's highest strength carbon fiber made for shafts. If you look at the above image something I really like thin shaft walls, this allows the tip to play more active, the T1100G material from Torray is supposed to be equal to 80T with less glass content allowing the shaft to be more durable yet also lighter and this year there is a 50 gram range option even in R flex that was released More pics below but if you are interested in this shaft we do suggest moving quickly as they will be sold out shortly. 50 Stiff is already gone and 60 Stiff is almost gone.

You can tell a skilled grinder when...
I can't imagine how good the blades will look! Those will be a TSG exclusive not even sold in Japan. On the negative, imagine the price... Anyway I got a lot of modart coverage coming soon, just waiting on our meeting in Tochigi later this week before I post it.

Titleist T-MB Review & First Impressions
I'm just shocked how soft it felt while still being hollow, very VG3 like imo.

I have an idea...
It would confuse everyone. There is no best material, its the combo of everything, hardness ratings can be manipulated based on who you have them measured by, there is too many secrets in regards to materials. For example people asking for 80T don't know what degree or how many weaves or how long down the length of the material is or the specs or pressure etc.. brands don't release that. Some brands keep torque a secret and materials. 80T is cool but its too brittle, it's not good in certain designs or weights, it relates to torque differently but still people think yum 80T = expensive = best which is not the case at all. While this would help in answering questions it would cause a ton of misinformation and misunderstanding even more than there already is about golf equipment.

Seven wedges....any feedback on these??
Just released sir, sold a bunch almost gone as we only produced 30pcs in total. Not trying to build a big brand just something unique and special for our members. There are 2 types: 1. Satin Finish w/Blast Art Logo 2. Custom Any TSG Finish w/ no Blast Art Logo Both are non conforming. Some are asking if SS400 is stainless, it's not it's Forged carbon just measured differently it's like S20C in feel but slightly more spin when tested.

TSG is Giving Away a Set of SEVEN Cavity Blades!
2 different types of clubs, the similarity is they are both nice and soft feeling Other than that these Seven CB's are very blade like, while the ONOFF's are semi mid sized. The Seven is traditional lofts with a 47* PW while the ONOFF is strong lofts. Thanks for entering everyone!

New RomaRo Ray Alpha Driver
It's also available conforming or non conforming.
-
New RomaRo Ray Alpha Driver
RomaRo's new flagship driver has mid spin, high launch with a forged cup face, it's designed with a focus on distance where the Type R series is geared to players who require less spin. I think I may need to bring launch down so I'll be testing it in 9.5 first with the standard shaft, looks good though and RomaRo has been working on this one for a couple of years almost twice as long as they have worked to produce any other driver in their history. On a side note wait till you see the profile on the Ray Alpha Fairway Woods, This one could give the Ryoma D1 FW a run for it's money. Enjoy the pics!

Yamada Putter
thicker top lines are becoming a thing now days, almost necessary if you need a heavy head as it's the best and almost the only place to get the weight up on an anser design while performance wise it makes the ball roll straighter or the putter more forgiving.
-
Titleist T-MB Review & First Impressions
Yup it's heavier than steel, looks good to me. I think it's more forgiving than most players CB, I haven't played with it but based on the LM I'm gonna say it could almost be as forgiving as the ONOFF Forged... really! Not sure who made it. Jacked lofts are the new standard, it really doesn't matter it's just a different number on the sole and different set make up in the bag.

Titleist T-MB Review & First Impressions
They had to do it, because it's a different material the Satin Finish would melt it if it were finished the same way, they could have went with a gloss smokey black. When I get my set I will try and take it apart to see what we can do at TSG Club Works.
