For those interested TSG now carries the Vega Series golf clubs, Im not a huge fan of their woods or other models of irons but they do have some pretty decent looking wedges and Irons, like this V-Cavity here. For those of you who are fans of soft Kyoei forgings these are a treat!

For those interested I have a bunch in stock ready to ship from the USA at this very moment. 13*, 15* & 18* Stiff or X-Stiff This is the TP version Burner FW from Japan!
-
The CV blade im pretty sure is done by Kyoei.

Its a prototype with a TPU insert that has many little squares. Mr.Bettinardi sent me an image of this 2 months ago of a Mizuno version he built for testing.

Callaway ERC HYPER Driver w/PICS!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Hey Lennie, That Tourstage driver we built has a very soft CPM, its about 237 i think, so the way its setup it plays softer than a normal R flex would. I would suggest tipping the 656 or just a totally new shaft. -
Callaway ERC HYPER Driver w/PICS!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Yes they are made at ENDO JAPAN confirmed by Callaway USA. My list of the best drivers available in my personal order: EPON 380 EPON 460 ERC HYPER MIZUNO CRAFT 425 or 460 Slap a Roddio or Axiv or somthing that works for your swing into it and you got yourself a great feeling and performing driver. You cant go wrong with any of these. -
The new Mizuno MP Craft 460 is another top notch driver thats Japan only, Took it to the range the other day and hit it side by side against my gamer EPON 380 and my backup EPON 460 and must say its a really good club. Its a little too large for my eye but its forged feel is pretty soft unlike many drivers on the market. I would select the MP425 over this bigger version myself but both cant take me away from my EPON's. The MP Craft's face angle and lie angle can be adjusted by a skilled club maker who has a bending machine that can fit its large volume. Enjoy the pics.

Also guys I will be posting small pics of the Mizuno MP-60 Hokkaido Edition Iron. Looks unreal has the outline of Hokkaido on the toe and a very sharp angle sole grind for hard turf conditions.

Hey XXIO, Many shops in Japan have had this brochure for a couple weeks, I will have a clear version as soon as i am mailed the brochure and scan it. We can remove these pics if you want but people can check them out via google and WRX anyway sir. Let me know. Whatever the case these do look very good, much better than the MP-27 IMO.

Another JDM driver or USA version? Im drooling over the new Craft 460, will post pics of mine tomorrow. I sent Mizuno JPN an e-mail about the new irons, i hope to get some sort of info from them.

True loft and face angle of drivers
TourSpecGolfer replied to gocchin's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Exactly, with the Mitchell steelclub plus machine which they tout as their best you cant read Epons due to the sole and volume. You cant do many drivers with that machine. Awesome info, I was not aware of that, thank you but may I ask how you came to this conclusion? -
Sky Dream Jump by Three Luck
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Last year, LPGA Laura Davis used the 201 putter for a long time as well. Would you guys like to see Sky Dream Jump Putters in the pro shop? -
Based on the fact that you have not tried many quality forged offerings I would say go with the JPX, I can get both no problem for you but I don't even consider the Pings a Japanese club even if its sold only in Japan.

There is a USA distrib but i dont think that new bag is available from them.

I have seen that one in the pic in person, it has a very rough feel to it and that stone washed denim look, very classy imo if you like that style which i do. Kinda rustic if you know what i mean. If you need one let me know.

True loft and face angle of drivers
TourSpecGolfer replied to gocchin's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Drivers from the tour van are simply hand picked heads in the states which is just about as far as you can get from the manufacture who has tons of drivers that play true to loft. Sad thing is on Tour they reem hosels or bend to open face angles for even Duval and other popular players when you guys are getting them factory adjusted at Endo for Epon product. Any brand can produce drivers that play true to loft, they just need to pay extra for the tighter tolerance. Even Titleist in the past has had tighter specs for their Japan issue gear with the U.S stuff being loose. Not sure if thats the case anymore but it was four years ago. There are tons of drivers or brands you can request true loft specs from, many are even component co's -
The finish of the black raw grain on the Yururi blades hold up waaay better than say Mizuno flat black blades. Its quite durable if you take care of them. Compared to the MP33 they are about the same heel to toe or a hair longer. Im not the best player to tell you about workability because thats not my game but i will say they fly mid/low with most steel shafts and thats why i went graphite. I know what you guys are thinking, what kinda wimp plays graphite in blades... I have also loved these blades with 1050 in R flex, for some reason my normal 1150 Stiff flex didn't give me the height i desired.

Japan has the new TP Burner FW's, a Titanium version Burner FW, and the new Burner Irons now available!
-
If you take a look at the Yururi's they go flat on the sole before the leading edge, this imo helps the steeper swinger, not sure on that but i do really well with clubs that have those like the Type J, 900MD, and few others. You are right though, it wouldn't matter at all if you were to hit the ball clean each and every shot.

So after the shaft is prepped, the length cut, and a split grip installed and anything else that will happen to the final club a crafter will use fishing line or something else to keep the head tight on the shaft as if it were glued, then they put the grip clamp on their cpm machine and twang it to see what CPM's the club would play at if it were glued.
