Thanks to GolfCraft Epon is a big hit in Thailand!
-
Im wrong, just found out its opposite, its lighter in the short irons heavier in the long for a less aggressive frequency slope from long to short irons aiding feel in the short irons.
-
Yup he does offer black, also a new option that he has for his irons and his up and coming custom wedges are raw faces as seen below:
-
They list trimmed weight from a range of 112-127, Its quite simple the long iron shafts are lighter to promote a higher trajectory, the short iron shafts are heavier to produce a lower more accurate trajectory.
-
Its a great thing because you want a heavier shaft in the short irons which make your conversion zone shots more accurate and low. It also helps keep the long iron trajectory higher.
-
Roddio is about 150 per club sir.
-
They are all the same material, but pearl white vs white looks more shinney but I dont know what else to say. AM&E is very cheap compared to this stuff.
-
Far nicer than AM&E, im not sure what you were looking at. Stitch count is far higher also.

EPON 2008 New Products w/PICS!!!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Introducing the new Epon 207KGX Wedge, a high precision wedge forged from soft S20C steel. Some new changes with this model include close to right angle grooves for super back spin, larger hosel dimensions help distribute weight higher to produce a higher Center of Gravity which is moved more towards the heel. The results include lower trajectory, more spin and overall improved playbility! -

The New AF701 is made of High Precision Forged S20C from Japan, The face is a High Strength Asroll Stainless material with an HRB80 body temper and NiCr20 Finish. The AF701 is designed for the golfer who wants maximum distance and forgiveness, its face actually has a C.O.R rating of over 0.8. The surplus weight of its thin face is redistributed to the heel and toe for a wider sweet spot hitting area. Tungsten weight alloy has been added to further lower the C.O.G -

Hey Alpha, had all of those in the trunk including some MP-57's for da braddahs to test out. I also wanted to swing by Carlton's place to give him a peek but he was off that day. The next day at the Palmer course I saw a killer young gun on the range who had a set of Chikara's being broken in for the first time. It was pretty cool to see them in the hands of a player who had no clue what TSG was. Guys the new Epons for the most part are the same with a new refreshing logo, the new design model is the AF-701 ( Absolute Forged ) that features tungsten sole weights to lower the center of gravity location. The replacement for the Type J the AF-301 looks very similar to the J but when i measured dimensions with a digital caliper their was less space between the top line and the top grooves meaning its a hair more compact but nothing I could notice without the caliper. Also and I may be wrong the offset seems a tad less. The Type S replacement is exactly the same when measured. I wont know for sure about the differences of the driver just yet but I do have a prototype that has a double bulge sole, longer heel to toe and a tad deeper face yet the second version as seen in the pic is 100% identical to the current Technity version. Rumor mill says a new EMB model ultra high MOI driver is due out early next month and some flat sticks coming our way by November and yes that driver will have a more shallow face design. New wedges... I think so, stay tuned. These new products are the completion of the product line with a more appealing logo design and model name, I guess not everyone was pleased with the Technity stamping. The official TSG release date is Sept. 15th with a Japan release in Jan. 2008! -

Iron Forgings, metallurgy, basics and confusions...
TourSpecGolfer replied to rhowardprd's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Your correct it can deal with plating efficiency but keep in mind we deal with the manufactures of the clubs you are trying to figure out and only needed to ask to get the correct answer. We have direct contact with several manufactures that have used copper underlay in their irons and none of them have mentioned your reasoning to us. Yes the less the head is pressed the better it feels and more difficult to accomplish, also pressed design is more desired than CNC or engravings by a mile. Again I dont know where you get your opinion or information from but we consult with the largest maker of forged golf product in the world. Im talking 85% of the complicated forged irons on the planet. We also speak with competitors of that factory and we are all on the same page. Sounds like you know far more about metallurgy than myself so we welcome your expertise in any way shape or form. -

Flat Black, Copper, Brushed Satin, & Chrome. Its about 55.00 per club head to change the finish. For deep sole engraving its 300.00 for the setup charge and 6.00 per letter engraved.
