Mizuno makes the most consistently pure and soft irons of any brand imo. You still playing these? you have so many great clubs I would be interested to hear what's the main gamers now.
  2. I'm back in the states again and playing golf a lot more. Had more time with various shafts and specs of the ZY-11 and I personally like it more than the 7. It isn't loud to me. We have sold well over a 100pcs and the majority of buyers like the spin, distance and trajectory a lot. As for sound and feel there are just people with different tastes, the same guys that think the ZY-7 is loud are the same that think the JBeam Blackout 435 is loud. I'm racking this up as to each is own. Again I have no problems with the sound and feel some customers actually thought is was foamed so as you can see opinions are exactly that... opinions.
  3. The two most popular drivers customers are making high cor are the new 2016 Maxima D and the JBeam ZY-7. I'm sporting a foamed non conforming ZY-7 myself right now.
  4. There is no 8.5 unfortunately.
  5. Just posted a blog outlining the new MP-66. Click Here

Hi Phil, Nice irons indeed but most customers don't participate in forums. I track 11 sets sold in our pro shop and I don't think any of those people outside of 1 is from the forum.
  7. Just put this one in the blog, we have 1 or 2 of them. Adding to the pro shop shortly.
  8. Mizuno doesnt do most of its own forgings, just more basic designed MP models. Maruman, no idea sir.. They have used Endo in the past but Im not sure if the 2013 model you mention were as well.
  9. The ZY-7 doesnt actually launch any higher to me, we seem to be making this up because the face isnt as triangular and deep as the 11.. Even Kazuhiro-san owner and designer and Yamazaki-san both who I talk with say they have the same launch angle head vs head. Always remember in golf 1 mans opinion can differ from another for so many reasons. some people think the 7 is foamed based on feel while its not, some think its the loudest tin can ever, some think its perrrrfect! same with the Blackout some love some hate. Thats the shitty thing about the interwebs and golf gear you dont know till you know.
  10. We have shipped over a hundred Type D 10.5's at the start of the month. This is the new 2016 Maxima, customers are extremely happy and based on when I hit it I'm almost certain everyone will prefer this new model over the D1 or the Maxima. Type-V 9.5 for the strong player is very nice. I've got a foamed V head with a shaved face and 7D "ginza" shaft in progress now.
  11. Info in the blog + photos here:
  12. I think these will come to the U.S. Of course the best options and shaft options will be in Japan
  13. GT is not a good business man, likely consult brands into the ground. His designs well I will leave you guys to judge I haven't seen much good since the GDJ/G-Field days. This is about H.W Kan & the TourStage guys. 811 Ti + SAT2041 face and that each loft is very different. ( as blog mentions ) that makes this better than most on paper at least.
  14. Where to start with this one... My friend Kan who I've known over 15 years was the former crafter at Gauge Japan. He with the help of former TourStage designers have taken over George Spirits and re-established the brand as REONESS. George Takei is out and has nothing to do with it. They still have some George Spirits branding but it's going to be phased out in the future. It's kinda fun looking at what the old GDJ staff has gone on to do: 1. Gauge Design USA (D.Whitlam) 2. Gold's Factory (M.Sasaya & Shindo) 3. REONESS (H.W Kan) 4. RomaRo ( Aono - no longer there ) I'm proud to have been around back then and know these guys. full post in blog - http://www.tourspecgolf.com/blog/29596-2/ pics right here:
  15. Couple things, I wrote "may".. second they didnt finish this head. All black IP, black boron and many other finishes have this issue even on shafts.
  16. While I haven't had much time to talk about this one or even hit it we have a handful of customers who are Baldo die hards and often pick up every one of their new releases. I've been sitting on these pics a while, just about every customer who has purchased one of these loves the feel and performance. It's the better players easy club. pics...
  17. We can do any finish but you will lose the blast art logo over the text by doing so.
  18. yes I agree. This is the interwebs and this is always the pattern.
