New Grandista LS-001 Coming End of July
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
All of it looks ugly to me. -
The new RS Forged Irons by PRGR look stunning! This is their pro model iron, a month or two ago we showed you the prototypes being played on the J-Tour. Back then the iron was a pure blade, this is the same club just slightly evolved into a neo blade. It's got a lot of technology! It's body is forged S25C the face is maraging steel ES235 there is a hollow cavity on the inside filled with a vibration dampening called FLASH ONE weighting is done by a new tungsten rubber material as well The goal is to make a blade that had all the forgiveness of a medium sized cb. look at the FP, its as minimal as it get's and progressive as it should be with 4.0 in the long irons and down to 5.5 in the wedge which is virtually nothing to onset. There is a black set dedicated wedge available as well. The set is sold 5-PW with optional #4 / 51 / 57*

Next up the RS Driver F for the better player. '' Lets compare the two on paper: Both are entirely different molds of course, they are both 460cc's and are sold from R to SX flex measured in m/s. The face angles show the "F" more open, again this is not 3.5* how you would normally apply it to another brand, PRGR does things very differently and that includes their measurements. Check out the lie angle on the RS DRIVER F.... 56*! This will make many happy.

Let's start with the driver, many male and female JJPGA players have been gaming the new RS and RS Type-F. There is also a victory and a couple runner ups with this club in play. 4 PRGR patents in this head alone. Features: - W-Crown - Forged Ti Face - Standard Length 45.25" - 2* Open Face Angle ( based on how PRGR measures this ) - Variable Face Thickness - New Multi Axis Shaft Design - Adjustable Weights - Adjustable Loft by 1*

Very early prototype of a new TRPX driver. They are no longer cool with Jbeam due to an unfortunate situation where the leader of a JPGA event was disqualified coming into the final round for playing a non conforming driver. Ultimately imo it was TRPX's faults as they should have checked the COR on that club themselves before handing it to a pro.

The #1 selling shaft in Japan is the EVO II, coming soon is the new EVO III. Safe chance these should be very good shafts at a decent price. 2016 Fujikura EVO III Shaft Next up is the new Diamana BF Shaft. I'm excited to try this one as well and plan to do so in a Ryoma Type V 9.5 when I get back to Japan shortly. And the newest announcement the Graphite Design Tour AD TP Series recently spotted on the J-Tour in Hokkaido more on all three shortly.

Grandista's first club the RS-001 is still a pretty awesome driver. It had nice high trajectory yet with a very straight lower spin dispersion. Easy to hit! Now the LS-001 is even the more of those very same things. Lower CG depth + more forgiving due to a larger laterial & horizontal face buldge.

My latest ITOBORI - BLACK COPPER
TourSpecGolfer replied to bogeylondon's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Congrats on all your beautiful clubs bogeylondon! -
New Driver - is on severe back order, I do have Type-D heads in stock right now although G & V is backed up even in Japan. New FW is coming in Autumn, still a long ways out.
-
I have just confirmed with Ryoma directly that if the FW head has no serial # it is a fake or it was removed and tampered with. All Fairway woods have serial #'s
-
I will get some clarity on this issue for you and post it up in this thread shortly. I will say that we have seen many more fake Ryomas and also PRGR in recent so be careful especially on ebay.
-
Ill give you guys the full run down shortly.. a powerful tid bit is he is responsible for co-development of materials and processes that many of you guys already use, also these have won many tournaments every year on the U.S PGA tour for multiple players of multiple brands. tens of thousands of players already use drivers he has designed, dozens of pros, many winners on tour.

The Custom Areso C90 Putter in the Contest
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Yes it's for sale. The only thing from Gold's was insert the heavy tungsten weights on the sole bringing this to 400g total head weight, the refinishing was done by another factory in Japan and everything else is from Areso. What makes this putter unique is the lack of stamping on the sole as it had to be pulled from production at a particular moment to have it like this. This is a Rock Wu design. -

Black Mirror ITOBORI Combo Irons!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Members are loving the ability to order custom. For diggers and steep swingers the popular options have been: - wider sole - more bounce - more rounded leading edge - more leading edge relief Some have been ordering the opposite like razor thin sop line, less offset, and all sorts of cool grinds. He can even duplicate the Hokkaido grind! -
Write up here - http://www.tourspecgolf.com/blog/areso-custom-c90-putter/ Done up by golds it's now 400g. perfect for counter balance. perhaps 50g in the grip would be nice.

TSG Club Works Soft Black MB5003 Blades
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Yes but CNC milling grooves on a pre-existing wedge is very expensive, over 300 bucks. not worth it. They will also be non conforming after. -

TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
This was a brand new set that was refinished ( btw it's available ) When you say re-done, what does that mean? Grooves are pressed along with the sole # before the heads are ground. grooves can't be re-pressed later. they can be cleaned also known as re-grooving or cnc milled to non conforming. -

Prior to Itobori he was known as wedgeman, his talent is in the shape. Main thing is our customers get what they want.
