  1. Trade considerations for custom putters without owners name/initial on it :-)
  2. Jay, I've taken you up on your suggestion to try something different. Head shape at least but I'm sticking with a PN :-). Have started talks with Byron or one of his sales guys on this but we'll have to see how things go as I'd much like to get Byron's feedback on some thoughts I have but he's not as readily available as say Slighter or Billings which is a waste as that is part f the process which I really enjoy and learn from. I guess I can;t blame Byron as business is good for him and it's part of growing.

Now that is a sweet looking putter! THE bronze face, red weights, Quadra shaft, all matching! Well done and congrats to the owner!
  6. George Spirits Tuned by Gold's Factory Woohoo! Tario just told me GF is done with my George Spirits Mono 3 putter and its on the way back to me. Cosmetically nothing radical so not a full on refinish. What I wanted was mainly a spec tune up to the following: Head Weight: 356g Lie Angle: 71.5° Loft Angle(Sole): 4° Real Loft Angle: 3° Face Angle: 4°open / Shaft Angle: 1.3°open Cosmetically, which has much functionality as well, I've requested for the original horizontal PZ mill. The face has been re-milled as such and weight brought up by adding 2 tungsten weights in the face on the heel and Toe. Wanted a simple G logo in the weights to recognize the tuning done by Gold's Factory. On the bumpers, where it was blank before now appears "GF TUNED' and the sight line has been refinished in the same red used for the Gs in the weights and the bumper stampings. I do think she looks better after her tune up than the original as far as the pics are concerned although of course lighting, setting of the photos affect that :-) With some luck, I hope to have her back by next Monday. UST FF and Black Iomic Absolute Grip awaiting her return. I've always been skeptical of the performance enhancements GF can render a putter. Sasaya-San makes beautiful looking putters and in fact, I would say from what I have seen, he is, to draw a horological analogy, the Dufour of custom putter makers. Really hope she putts better than before I sent her in and she can convince me to get an all GF putter billet up! Thanks again T.

Congrats and welcome to the forum. Looking forward to your review on this vis-a-vis the Maxima and TRPX. Hopefully you have the same Crazy shaft in the TRPX as well for a like for like review.
  8. Woohoo... T just emailed to say my GF Tuned GS Mono should be dine by end of this week. Hopefully I can get it by end of next week. Patience is not my virtue....
  9. I know what you mean Jay but I kinda get into these accumulation binges and then get stuck with a lot of stuff LOL. Your point is very valid for the Machine as I have not putt with any Machine putters ever but if my GF Tuned GS doesn;t putt well, I;ll be very disappointed as that was my very reliable and consistent gamer and sending it in to GF is supposed to add and not subtract.
  10. Cannot agree more. Not some much about the feel but to get the ball rolling quick with a true and pure roll, I've found the horizontal mill to do a much better job for my stroke.
  11. Thanks for the sharing. I;ve decided t resist a stop gap putter while I'm putter less and have started exploring a 3rd custom. Sighh... really should have stuck with my china made Yes Callie LOL
  12. Thanks again T. For the S and 435 comparison, appreciate i due course if you can provide a guide for loft ie 435 in 10* = TRPX S 10* (?) for example.
  13. You;re lucky. Mine has got about 2 weeks more and then it needs to get to me half way around the world so I am hoping by month's end in my bag.
  14. Just draw that parallel with Jbeam already! I presume the S model you tried launches a tad higher and spins a tad more and the D Chris has tried is the deeper faced lower spin, lower launching head? For a 435 10* equivalent, what loft in S and D heads assuming shafts are the same please? I know you are neck deep with work ... need the reviews when you can T. Thanks.
  15. T, Eagerly awaiting the reviews from you and Chris n the 2 heads, who you feel they are more suited for etc.

    Thanks for the info T.
  17. Thanks Ed. It looks to be shaping up nicely.

Yup. I wouldn't know about over priced as I knew nothing about Mystery then and still know nothing much now. He was less than approachable which found weird for someone in retail LOL. They apparently have a 425, 440, 455 and 460 driver, rescues, irons, wedges and putters as well.

Thanks. I've actually dropped by the shop in Thaniya but the dude is not the most friendly. From what I can decipher through the very bad google translate, their 440 is not the most forgiving. Not sure if the translation is accurate though. Have you tried any of their drivers?
  20. THe wedges look nice. What's Tourist Trophy? Shots of the face please T.

Anyone tried any of their drivers and shafts? Feedback appreciated. Who makes their stuff for them and where? Thanks.
