    +1!
  2. All that you mentioned, headcovers for drivers, fairway woods, irons, putters both blade and mallet can be found easy enough on ebay or tourspecgolf. The hybrid covers seem teh illusive ones and the 2006 Open covers don;t last long at all.

We should not be too surprised if they do given what we have seen from Epon of late.
  4. It's nothing to do with the price... believe me. They don;t make their own blanks they? They work off (yes and add on I will give that) blanks made by others? If they do make their own blanks in-house from scratch, I readily stand corrected but from what I have read on this board so far, they don;t. I could be wrong but that's what I have taken out so far. I'm not totally against this concept and if you know of my interest in other hobbies, you will see why but in this case, I just do not think what they add on makes that much of a difference. Again, we are discussing varying degrees of difference so no right or wrong.

Me thinks that will be a smart bet.

It seems that Epon is playing this marketing game now.. i33, re-editions of irons, drivers, and now personals.. maybe the next batch will be RF black or whatever they call it. I ca appreciate your frustration but if I were at Epon with hard revenue KPIs, I'd do what they are doing because the market bites and is willing to pay. Only way to stop this is not to buy but there will always be buyers of different sorts and I shall leave it at that...
  7. Sorry T, I know you mean well but I just don;t buy into the GF bling. Just me of course and to each his own.
  8. I don't think there is a like for like test. When I say like for like I mean on an iron byron, with the same shaft, playing length, loft and ball etc with the head being the only different variable. Anything else and the results will mean little. It would be good if the same test like what rating-gate (I think that's what its called) did about 2 years back is done for all the latest drivers and shafts. That controlled environment provided a lot of good information about the shafts and heads of the time.
  9. Just had her shafted. Head came in at 358 grams. On the putting mat, the head feel is softer than my GS but that could be down to the lighter weight of the GS being 7 grams lighter on head weight and the sound slot whih tsgolfer posted elsewhere. The roll is fantastic as well! As good as the GS and both have very different face milling. Will take the kitada out this weekend. These 2 putters could work out very well for the 2 clubs I frequent. The GS for the weekend where the course I play typically has faster greens and the kitada with the heavier head for courses with slower greens.
  10. Hi, I'm in Singapore. Have seen all kinds of oakley covers in the places you mentioned but not hybrid covers.
  11. Thanks stew! I'm a 34 inch guy as well lol
  12. I won't be doing the gf plastic surgery thing in any instance. If she works for my stroke, she works. If not, any sort of extremely makeover won't work and best I pass her off to someone else whose putting stroke she suits better.
  13. Not sure where to post this so admins please move to the relevant section if necessary. Oakley had a 2006 British Open Skull HYBRID headcover and I've gone through 2 of those because of the high wear and tear where the magnets are. Anyone know if Oakley has other Skull series head covers in Black and where I can get them? Thanks.
  14. The Kitada arrived today! And boy, I have never seen such deep and extreme face milling. She's supposed to be 357 grams it feels good and heavy. 2* loft and 71* lie. Looks wise she ain;t a Miss South America (no, I won't be sending her for plastc surgery at GF :-) ) but I have a good feel about her. Will be taking her to the fitters to put in a UST F plus Iomic Absolute grip and see how she rolls this weekend. I don;t imagine she'll roll better than my GS but I think she will "feel" better. The Kitada was one of 3 packages to arrive today.. woohoo..
  15. The biggest second ever! For the H at least.
  16. Got several more rounds under the GS belt. While it still feels a tad hard, it continues to roll well... very well. This a very good putter head! My Kitada should reach this week and am actually reluctant to shaft it given how well the GS is performing...
  17. I tried the larger 8C craft with a proto 531 and that felt good. Much better than the previous tour heads which sounded very tin cannish.
  18. Oooooo.. dont give me ideas my friend..
  19. Thanks man! Me too! Just put my shimadas in. First thing I noticed was the hosels are longer/taller than the Miuras and hence play 0.25 inches longer with the same shafts. I think this may be done to get the CG up (not sure). Hit them in the indoor range at my fitters and softness is like Miura softness but less dense feeling. Although the faces are not milled, they take a bit off the ball covers. Will hot the range tomorrow and take them out to the course this weekend. I'll either get the 56 after that or sell off the existing 52 and 60. I hope I'll be getting in the 56.
  20. Only the 60. I play 50, 54 and 60 and they only come in 52, 56, 58 and 60. Bending the 52 and 56 stronger should work from a bounce pov as they are not low for the DWD wedges.
  21. I know dude.. it's just a personal thing and too late cause all the new wedges are in or on the way in :-)
  22. Good find. "Tour Select" hmmm.... I tried google translate but it won't work. idrive, can you check with your romaro source on this "tour select" star marking?
  23. HAHAHA.... ok dude... I'll keep that in mind. I think I'm psyching myself up not to like them as I am just so comfortabel with my Miuras and wedges are scoring clubs. Truth be told, I hate to mess with wedges but had to change them now given the non-conform as you know and my intention to play comps this year but the DWDs... have to try them.
  24. Thanks. Bag is still a work in progress. The DWDs have to be real good as I am comfortable and rather comfortable with my Miuras so to knock the Miuras out of the bag is going to be a big ask of them. We'll see how it goes. And dammit! I have a Miura 60Y on the way in as well. That will account for nothing if I do not find them as good as my Miuras.
  25. HI, I'm not an expert a telling fakes so I really cant help there. THe reality is that not all irons that do not come form authroised sources are fakes. Some are stolen off the factory floor. Some of course are fakes and may be cast when they are supposed to be forged. This I am told is the case with the Epon fakes. As for nonconforming and non-conforming, I think it has to do with the grooves. THe non-conform ones will spin more I think. Some others can chime in here I am sure.
