  1. One thing I learned from this forum is that there is no best. There are lots of good ones gauge design, mizuno, tourstage. One set of irons which I think are unique are scratch, they custom grind finish and everything. I am currently ordering a set from Ari (fairway fred). If you want a set give him a pm he really knows his stuff.
  2. I don't think a deeper face is the answer, as this usually keeps your ball flight a bit lower for better control. I would try something with a little more loft.
  3. Right now I have a mizuno mp-001 with a DG s300 shaft, I like the shaft characteristics but I am looking for something a bit lighter.

A great fw shaft to get the ball up is the graphite design purple ice, since it has a low kick/high launch.
  5. Is miura starting to give in to quality as they are starting to produce more as they are going retail what would thier quality be like now. mass production???
  6. How are they compred to the gauge irons regarding forgiveness and quality and what do they cost. With a choice which would you pick.
  7. How about the hiro matsumoto irons.
  8. The iron icon in the catalog is that of a hiro matsumoto , will TSG start carrying those?? :-D
  9. How they will play compared to my old titleist , not that I want that type of club , just curious. :surprize:
  10. Well it looks like I am going to go with the miura combo(3-5 mt)(6-p cb-2005) unless someone tells me the gauge designs or the mp-27 will be easy enough for someone who plays off a 20 for the 6-p since I will probably use my old rescue clubs for the 3 & 4 until I can hit the long irons and which should I go GD or mizuno regarding ease of use . Please someone tell me which one will be easier and better feeling!!!Also which would be a better decision on my part , I mean I just don't know if I am fooling myself into thinking I can hit the mizuno or gauge irons which actually look amazing :) :-D
  11. On TM's behalf I would like to say this club was not desined for the average golfer. I spoke to a TM rep who told me the club was designed for the 5 hndp. or better to whom these changes can make a difference. :-D
  12. Chris, I had the same exact problem and this was the drill I was told by my instructor to use. Another problem could be is that since you are coming more over the top and out to in you are keeping your hands to close to your body as to try and come in to out, but this just add's extra sidespin and causes the extra action with your right shoulder which causes the slice.
  13. Where does mizuno stand compared to the other 4 you mentioned??
  14. If you still have them do they have a mirror or satin finish

Can anyone tell me how they will compare in terms of forgiveness setup ease of use and offset. I have a great deal on the mp-27 but only tried mx-23 so I am trying to compare. :-D

The only thing I can think of is that he likes the size of the 9 wood. A while ago someone printed something like this about a different pga pro for a 3 wood he used a 7 wood since he liked the size of it but had the specs of a 3 wood. :-D :surprize:
  17. You are probably swinging on an out to in swing path and just swinging around your body. A good drill is to put something like an impact bag that won't damage your club a little behind in your stance and and a few inches from the club and make sure you don't hit the bag. Also take 2 clubs 1 to make sure your alignment is correct and the second on the correct swing path and take slow but deliberate swings on that path. Hope this helps it has done a load for me. :-)
  18. Hey Ali a combo like that is actually quite interesting where would you go about getting such a combo. I would actually would like to know if you can get a mizuno combo like that.
  19. I don't like them I just don't like the feel to it.
  20. Primo, basically I am looking for a player cb because lately I have been trying several GI irons for example the titleist 804 and I am hooking the ball because of the offset.Hence I am looking for a great feeling iron with less offset, but I still need some forgiveness on those off days when I am not striking well since I am still a 20 hndp. yet I am still not looking for an oversized club I actually can't stand them.So it's not that I amlooking for offset thick topline... it's just that I believe there are harder and easier to hit player cb's for example I amsure the gd's are easier than scratch. So I was thinking that the irons I mentioned aboved would fit the description. If you know about the miura irons can you tell me about the the 3001 or 3002 and 2005 irons how they will play and if these would be right for me. :-D
  21. The 27 is the cb.Can anyone tell me how these will compare to the mx-23 ?? I was told by someone that thoseor the intage would more of what I am looking for.
  22. I spoke to a rep at mizuno that told me the only thing the mp-27 will do is make me quit the game so to speak since they are too hard to hit.He told me too look at the forged intage instead if I want feel and forgiveness.Does this make sense,I mean I play about to a 20 hndp. but i was told that the mp-27 and the gauge design cb's would be easy enough for me to use.Since I can't demo these I am basically buying based on your feedbak and advice.I am looking for a forgiving iron that just feels sweet and soft.
  23. I am not really familiar with the term grind, and how it help, and regarding scratch I considered them but I read that they are more blade like than the others. :?
  24. Thanks for the help but I am mainly looking at the mizuno mp-27 or the gauge design cb.I just want to know the pro's and con's of both in terms of feel quality and forgiveness, and which you would give the dge to by each.
  25. Has anyone tried the mp 27 from mizuno, those are some great looking irons. How would they compare in forgiveness and quality compared to the gauge design irons or any other irons I might be looking for?
