WD40 is an excellent multi purpose lube, it's not the right product for this application though. The best rust preventative I've found is Bull Frog.

The SP red seems to be somewhat rare, I tried to get a set a year or two ago and they weren't available from the US distributor. I ended up with the orange and they work well for me. I have played the 1050s and I bet they are stouter than the red.

The best driver shaft I've found for me is Fujikura Rombax Platinum, smooth, straight and long.

RomaRo Ray UT is the best I've found. This mono looks good though.

Doc I have the 21 but am also looking for an 18 Ray head.

The best hybrid shaft I've found is the Fubuki 415, they don't make it anymore though and the ax is not as good.
