hard to do without fitting you, but... swing speed? driver details? height?
  4. nice. pic of the interior if you can? even if its just stock...just would like to see
  5. where do you place the ball in your stance, in reference to your front (left if youre a righty) foot?
  6. agreed, youd have to be sending your arms through so fast ahead of your body that they might fall off. open your stance up just a hair, and a swing thought to have at the top of the backswing is "let the knees bring it down".
  7. very poetic indeed! lemme know how the TC's work out...and if youd like any info on acupuncture just holla!

i was at the buick and at the match play, saw it with my own two eyes from 2 feet away...its an odyssey.
  9. can you post or email me a pic of the DF?
  10. i hear lots of nice things about the project x's, maybe i will try them one day. 2 years ago i took my DG X-100's out of my irons and put flighted 7.0's in, and to be honest i really didnt notice much difference. i played them for 4 months that way, and found my way back to the dynamic golds. a problem with your situation is that you have a very hard swing and are hitting a shaft thats way too soft with the S-300. try the X-100's first, if you want more response then maybe work your way up the project x's...but i know tons of players who no matter what they put in their irons, they always make their way back to dynamic gold. good luck! -sammy
  11. have you hit this puppy?
  12. shoe...good luck with the rehab on the arm! watch out with cortisone though, i had a few in highschool (i was a pitcher), and it left me with a bunch of scar tissue. gets sore as hell every now and again and i do have a recommendation, and its gonna sound silly...acupuncture. it has been the best thing i have ever done for the arm!
  13. ok, and you heard this from?

word to the mineral spirits. if you get pissed enough you could also light your s**t on fire with it :D jokes! -sammy
  16. #1 slow your backswing down and save that energy for the downswing. #2 set up a tad open. now, to your club. i work part time for a college golf team doing club tech stuff and a few players use the G2. my one player, who has a similar profile to you, replaced the NV with a YS-8 x-flex in his...you might like that. personally, i have a hard swing tempo that used to be WAY too fast, so i put a heavy ass shaft in my driver (speeder 952 x flex) and it helped tremendously. bottom line, anything heavy and stiff will help. -sammy

  18. depends...titleist tour stuff is a slight bit harder to identify. i believe some titleist retail stuff in canada doesnt have a SN, i could be mistaken about that...a lot of the guys on here could also probably help ya more... -sammy
  19. i'll get some pix once my camera stops being a bitch. ive been a golf packrat since i was 15, i must confess. im 23 and out of school, and still am paying on a credit card i hid from my parents when i was 17 to buy clubs! its almost down now, but as you can imagine they gave one hell of a rate to a 17 year old with a cousin as a co-signer. other random stuff in here i got when i played in college... :money: :) -bag- driver: TaylorMade R510 DF - 8.5* - Fujikura Speeder 952 X 3 wood: Titleist 970 - 15* - Dynamic Gold X100 irons (2-P): TaylorMade 300 Forged - Dynamic Gold X100 wedges: Titleist Vokey TSC - 54* & 60* Dynamic Gold X100 putter: Scotty Cameron Studio Stainless Newport Beach 1.5 -closet- drivers: TaylorMade R7 Quad TP - 7.5* - Fujikura Speeder 952 X TaylorMade 300 - 8.5* - Dynamic Gold X100 Titleist 983K - 8.5* - Grafalloy Blue X fairways: TaylorMade 300 Tour - 15* - Fujikura Vista Tour 70 X Callaway S2H2 - 15* - EI70 X irons: Nike Pro Combos (2-P) - Dynamic Gold X100 Ben Hogan Apex Plus (2-E) - Dynamic Gold X100 wedges: a s**tload of worn vokeys and a few old RTG's dating back from when i played in high school, that i cannot stomach to get rid of. :wah: putters: Scotty Cameron Studio Design 1.5 Scotty Cameron Pro Platinum Newport Mid-Slant Never Compromise TDP 4.2
  20. y'all still gotta give workability and the great ball strikers some respect. to me, a pro who can hit a knee high 2 iron that draws or cuts 6 yards to an exact target is a much better player than someone who can bomb it 330 and have a sand wedge into the green. this whole idea of golfers being distance crazy is partially why i think you dont even see many 2 irons in bags anymore (that and technology). working the ball is an art, there was an interview in golf magazine a year ago with steve elkington (who ironically happens to be a titleist guy), who said something to the affect of how its a joke how people claim to be "left to right" hitters, or "right to left" hitters, because when he first came on tour, in order to stay on tour you had to know how to work the ball both ways. thats why you wont see the same people at the top of the leaderboard at colonial, where you have to know how hit a 10 yard cut on one tee and a 15 yard draw on the next, than you will at the buick at torrey pines, where you need to carry it 290 to even have a 6-iron in. is it good for the game? we can bitch about this forever...but y'all have to admit, if you can work the ball, you still have one hell of an advantage over someone who bombs it out there aimlessly. just my $0.02. :tired: -sammy
  21. i had an S40 for a little while, had an electrical problem...harness ended up frying. insurance covered everything and i really wanted to go with another volvo, but i bought an RX8 instead...other than that ive heard nothing but remarkable things about their cars and specifically their SUV

wow, what a trainwreck its been out here...theres water everywhere. also a drainage pipe for the whole apartment building that ran above my bathroom decided to give way, soaking a lot of stuff in my place. but im not bitter...sorry, had to get that out! :D riviera really isnt that bad, other than the bunkers. theres some saturated areas on the fairways (esp 15 & 18). saw some really cool titleist wedges (adam scott and fax in particular), im guessing prototypes...im wondering if theyre gonna issue a new set of special grinds with the most popular prototypes? anyone with info please supply it! lot of TM peeps still hitting the 510. other than that...nothing. debating on whether or not to call off work and head up for tomorrow's action...i'll let y'all know if i see anything! -sammy
