sup y'alls...just got back from the nissan a bit ago with nothing majorly new to report. david howell had the sweet new set of cleveland cavitys, and ian poulter was messing around with them on the range, and from hearing him talk, he liked them...maybe a switch coming sometime? who knows... tiger hit the living hell out of the ball all day, even when playing position, he seemed to be making excellent contact, expecially with his irons. he had new wedges in his bag today, nice and satin-ey. i'll give y'all another update tomorrow if i see anything! -sammy

i can empathize with ya...i kinda liked the expos myself. kinda hard to keep it up when 900 people show up at a stadium that holds 20,000 i guess... :D y'all still have the jays, all they need is one more bat and some D and theyd be in business!

no word on a move or anything like that. i know arte wants a new stadium for his halos, but people in hell want ice water. :money: "the los angeles angels of anaheim" IMO is doesnt exactly roll off the lips very easily, i need a damn oxygen tank just thinking about it. but as of now, theyre staying up in anaheim, and want to be known for being in los angeles, not a suburb of los angeles. whats next? the san fransisco athletics of oakland? please... aside from name issues, the angeles look stacked. as long as their pitching stays healthy, expect to see some postseason action. :cool:

yes, i hit my driver high as hell!!! my typical miss is a high right block. launch angle probs i guess. suggestions? which driver/loft would you suggest? mizunos? theyre pretty...dont know much about import equip though...tourstage and mizzys and srixons look pretty...but i know nothing about them...

whats up all! hope everything is going well with everyone... heres my issue... ive been playing my TM 300's for a few years now and for the first time in 3 or so years, i thought "is it time to change?" i have a set of 300's i got through my school's athletic dept. when i played in college, got them fit for my swing (1/4" short, X100, D2, +1 up)...nothing special or anything. just a set of regular 300's. im an observer for the most part on here, and have been reading what everyone has been saying for a couple months about the new sticks out there, and heres what im thinking. 1) i have been very satisfied with TM, and i technically do not "need" new irons, i hit these rather well. should i listen to the adage of "if it aint broke dont fix it"? 2) since im satisfied with TM, are the new RAC TP's worth the $ for me? how will they compare with my 300's? are they worth the switch? has technology came far enough for me to make a difference? others ive considered are the new nike pro combos, 690CB's, and an open to any other suggestion. i think id like to stay with a forged cavity. im happy with my shortened X100 shaft, i think, so i'll probably stick with that, unless anyone can offer any better suggestion... 3) im 23, play to anywhere from a 3 to a 6 (depending on which way the wind is blowing :o ) im 5'8", weigh 151lbs, swing speed with driver is about 113, 5 iron around 96....and try to practice every day... anyone who can compute the mindless BS of what i just typed into some advice, i thank them and salute them! thanks guys/gals... -sammy

510 TP is 390cc, has a deep face, and launches it a little lower than the other two. 540XD is 400cc, has a slightly more shallow face and a wider body, and tends to launch it higher because of that. 580XD is 460cc, and if you could think of a cross between the two previous, then this is it. it has a deep face and a wider body and has a mid trajectory launch. in my opinion, the 510 is a little easier to work off the tee and feels the best when you hit it dead on. if youre looking to get the ball in the air more, then the 540 might be the best for you, and the 580 might offer a tad more forgiveness on off center hits, because the face is bigger. something else youre going to want to consider is the shafts, but thats a whole other ballgame... good luck!

whats up y'all? i have vokey satin wedges, and have been using SOS pads to clean them off...is this ok? anyone know the long term affects of using soapy steel wool on satin wedges? id like to know if i should stop using this method and start doing something else? any input is appreciated! later!

try the TT DG X300...theres a little shop in TN that sells them...like swinging a damn telephone pole :)

your old TM's were the original prototypes for the irons i play, the TM 300 forged...try those, but they have a thin topline. you can find many nice sets on ebay or at a used store, and id imagine on here as well. mine are at a D-2 SW. also, the titleist 690 CB's have a slightly thicker topline...give those a shot if you like the forged feeling. if not, the 704's are wonderful as well, and are a tad more forgiving.

all are nice, mizunos dont feel like traditional mizuno's for some reason IMO...but they are still solid. if you play on bermuda a lot try the 680's too...
