do they have forgiveness and would u recommend them for lets say a 9 handicap??? I'm a 9 myself and have been using the MX-23's. I liked them until they started to feel a little dead. I played with the MP-32's and they just weren't forgiving enough for me. They are good when you hit them perfect, but not if you are off a bit. So, I talked with Joey Kwok about changing out the shafts on the MX-23's and he recommended to look at the Tourstage TS-202's. He told me if you want the best forgiving forged iron, they are the ones. I've got to tell you that nothing feels more solid than they do. Bert-B
  5. about to say the same thing. doesnt it violate the usga rules. Could it be a Nike One Platinum that has been approved by the USGA but not released to the public yet? Bert-B

  12. So it's been about 9 months since this poll was originally posted and the results were overwhelming that Bridgestone should use the TourStage brand. We now know they used Bridgestone. I was really surprised they used the Bridgestone brand since there were many negative associations with it (e.g. the Ford Explorer tire debacle). Any inside info on how well they are doing in the U.S. with this brand? Are they hitting the marketshare numbers they expected? Thanks, Bert-B
  13. Great pix, thanks for posting! Nike or, it looks like she was smart enough to leave the door open for TaylorMade-Adidas with those woods! Bert-B
  14. That's tough to answer mainly because I had Project X shafts in the 202's. I'm playing standard Rifles in the 27's. The 202's felt much heavier and shorter. I get more length and better feel out of the 27's than I did with the 202's. 202's are downright clunky compared to the Mizuno's. They are like TourStage's answer to the X series Callaway. Both are very easy to hit straight though. How about an update on your MP-27's. I have a set on order and I am currently using the TS-202's and love them. Thanks, Bert-B

  18. Thanks for answering. How do you like your TS wedges? Bert-B
  19. Has anyone tried the TS X-Blade CB and compared them with the TS-202? Thanks, Bert-B
  20. IMO the sole is much different. The X-Tour is more forgiving but doesnt feel even as close as good at impact. From a resale perspective, The X-Tours will be cheap soon. The MP-27s will not be. Both great clubs that you cant go wrong with. I've seen and hit them both. I like the MP-27 much better. Nicer top line, and they do feel more solid on impact. I would say the X-Tours are closer in feel and looks to the MX-23. Bert-B
  21. Did you prep the club any special way? Use wet finishing sand paper, etc? Did the paint go on pretty smooth etc? I dropped my 983K on the cart path an have a few small spots where the paint chiped off. Also had a friend hit a sky rocket with it. Not bad but I can see it at address. I cleaned with Windex, then applied the paint. Once it dried after a couple of hours, I sanded with 320 grit paper (very fine) and then applied several coats of car wax. It worked great! Good luck. 22. Have any of you seen the nude calendar by Sophie Sandolo? She is a European LPGA player that went to UCLA. www.sophiesandolo.it There was a brief mention of her this week in GolfWorld. Here's a couple of pictures. Bert-B
  23. Ditto. I've actually used www.golfpaint.com myself on the Titleist 983K, perfect match. Bert-B
  24. Too bad for Phil. I was very disappointed that he "declined to be interviewed" by NBC after losing to Tiger this weekend... Poor loser!! Bert-B

It is the Odyssey PM prototype, specifically designed for Phil. It's modeled after his old favorite, the Yonex Super A.D.X. Tour Forged, which was modeled after the heel shafted Wilson 8803 blade putter. Bert-B
