About 6 months ago I sent my 983K to Golfworks to refinish. They couldn't match the paint exactly, but overall it was OK, not great. This weekend I decided to do myself and used a brass brush attachment for my drill and took the paint off all the way to the metal. After spending quite a bit of time masking the face, etc. I believe it is just not worth it to do myself. I would suggest for the $40-$50 that most people will charge to do it professionally it is worth it! Bert-B

Can anyone tell me the difference between the Nippon NS 950 used in many import clubs vs. the NS 990 used in Callaway's Big Bertha Fusion irons? I can't find the NS 990 on Nippon's website. Thanks, Bert-B

I had read that Phil did use the 454 during the Ryder Cup. My recollection was that he started with the ERC Fusion and then switched to the 454 on the second day.... Bert-B
