Lower Trajectory Irons
Who produces lower trajectory irons?

Hybrid or driving iron?
Hmmm. Interesting. I'm glad you asked because I've been considering the advantage of a driving iron instead of a 5 wood.

New steel shafts for irons?
It's interesting how different a shaft can feel from one person to the next. I demoed the NS950 a few days ago after having heard so many good things about this shaft but to my surprise I found it to be anything but smooth for me. I ended up choosing the X-100. Also I'd guess the 100g NS shaft is about 30g lighter than what the Godfather1 ordered. :smile2:

New steel shafts for irons?
I just switched from Rifle to DG for a couple of reasons; lower ball flight and a softer feeling shaft...but I think X-100 wouldn't qualify as a "little smoother" compared to the DG S300. Have you tried the SensiCore in the S300?

MOZ Ishihara PICS
Speaking of MOZ wedges the 515's have got to be the softest wedges I've ever played. They have outstanding feel and control around the greens. Pitch shots check up nicely. They're expensive but worth every yen in my opinion. Mine weren't tuned by Gold's Factory (38,000 yen per wedge compared with the 25,000 yen I paid) but, without comparing them side by side I can't be sure how different or much better the wedges would perform with the Gold's process. All I can say is that they're really sweet wedges.

Which Japanese Forged Irons are the best?
What HJ said and I would also add the TourStage MR-23 irons to the mix PLUS any forged wedges and irons from Ari Techner (Scratch Golf Clubs) which he'll totally customize to fit you.

Japanese R7 TP Pics
I was wondering how you like the 10.5 degree loft compared to other lofts you've used before? I've played 8.5 degrees for a long time but from what I understand the R7 is a low spin head compared to the higher spin of the R540XD. What are your thoughts about that? Preferences? Thanks, Swunk

Japanese R7 TP Pics
I noticed in Chris' pics he's got a 9.5 while your pics show a 10.5? How many TP's does he got? Anyway I was wondering how you like the 10.5 degree loft compared to other lofts you've used before? Miura 5002 vs. MR-23 Blade
I have never owned the 5001's but have hit them before yet never had the chance to compare side by side with the MR-23. If memory serves my right, I think MR-23s are smaller, more angley, better feeling, more accurate, more compact head. The best part is the feel of the perfect struck ball. If you can handle the 23's they could be one of the best, just ask S.A and Maru. And Swunk! Swunk loves his MR-23 US Blades, too. Everything these guys have said is right on about these irons. I think their balance is by far the best I've ever felt. Even when I change my tempo for a particular shot they just swing so easy. Feedback is great when you're working the ball and rarely harsh when you skull or chuck one. James

scratch wedges
Unless you're sure about the feel and response of the NS 1050 from trying it out I'd go with the Spinner shaft. It's such an excellent shaft and it's also what I have in my Scratch wedges.

Mizuno Cut Muscle
Here are a few sets to drool over on yahoo japan: http://search4.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/sea...cale=0jp&acc=jp If you do the yen conversion you'll see that they're not as expensive as you might have thought. :surprize: :smile2:

Whats the most accurate driver you have tried?
I'd have to say my present R540XD. But like Mike said, "if you don't put a good swing on it then you don't get a straight shot." I'm also looking forward to trying my accuracy with the R7 real soon.

Does anyone have the specs for this Fuji shaft?
I just checked the Japanese Fujikura site and couldn't find any listing of a Fujikura Tour Spec VT 80 D. any chance "VT" stands for "Vista Tour" 80?

Talk about a club ho
True enough. Couldn't agree with you more. But what is viewed as a waste of money by one person might be a bargain to another; it's all pretty much relative to one's monthly income. Prices here in Japan are generally more expensive than most places and when people come here they're usually shocked. If you stay and work in Japan you will see that your monthly salary makes up for the higher cost of living and what's left at the end of the month is often a bit more than what's left in the account back home. Still I agree 22K for a set of clubs :surprize: "seems" like a waste of money. lol

r7's Hype: Real?!
In addition to the better shaft choice(s): More CG weight combinations with the TP (883 compared to 6 with the R7). 9 swingweights ranging from C8 to D8. Square face on the TP as opposed to a slightly closed face of the R7. And the cool TP logo. oh and this :money:

r7's Hype: Real?!
Of course it's going to work for the wekend golfer. And if it doesn't well TM will have something for you in their next generation of high tech laser guided drivers. So what are you waiting for... You know you want one...and all you're doing is delaying the inevitable. :money:

Tourstage Prototype Driver!!
Nice looking head there Chris. Hopefully you'll find a Izawa fan out there in Ebay land who'll pay a chunk of dough for it. Good Luck! :money:
