  1. Well.. Yet another disgusting show on tonight. I guess this was a new one for this week. The party cost them 450k. The 2 girls that rented out the hard rock were there. I'm sure MTV just visited the richest highschool in CA and said, "Want to be on MTV?".. 450k?!?! WTF?! Thats like Ophra or P-diddy size budgets. The difference with their parties is they're for marketing write offs. When P-diddy spent a million on his last b-day party I'm sure he sold 2 million in records because of it. These girls just put a big hole in their dads bank account. I wonder if MTV supplements the parents for some of the expense. Chris
  2. :wah: :surprize: :smile1: :-D You guys crack me up... Whats next rush week? "You're first task is to raid the Alpha Phi Kappa house and replace their r7s with KZGs" Chris
  3. That was the one I saw. It was insane. When I saw his dad run off crying, it made a lot of sense. His dad did act 1/2 his age. That poor kid better hope his dad has a lot of money saved away for him, or else he's going to go into shock the first time he has to earn something on his own. Haha, buying the girls clothes to come to the party was the best part. "I'll give you an outfit if you come to my party". The kid made mention to being a golfer. I hope he check these boards cause that is one person I would like to flame. I was extremely lucky to spend my 16th birthday in Costa Rica. My mom was working for an airlines at the time and we were able to fly over there for 35 dollars each way. Her job also got us a very nice deal at a resort there in Costa Rica. I went with my family and one of my best friends. The trip couldnt of cost us more then $1500, and I felt spoilted. That to me was too much on a birthday. 400k on a 16th birthday is simple retarded. Chris
  4. This is recockulous! I turned MTV on for the first time in a while and found a TV show called "Sweet 16". Basically they've taking the super rich 15 year olds of LA and NY and taped their 16th birthday parties. Their parties are ridiculous. The first one I saw was understandable. She got a Range for her 16th. Her party was full of adults and was at an upscale hotel. She was carried into the party on like a queen. He father claims he spent 200k on her birthday. I thought that was insane until I saw the next one. It was the birthday party for the son of some Designer and Club owner. He threw a party that cost 400k including contracting dancers from a Puff Daddy video. They hinted at another episode where 2 girls combined their birthday bash and rented out the entire Hollywood Hard Rock Cafe, including their club. These kids are insane and their parents need to get a grip. I'm sure that MTV video tapping it adds to the whole effect, and you're going to make it bigger and better then if they weren't, but still. Their parents should and put in concentration camps. If you want an off the hook party for you son or daughter, spend 30k.. Then if you feel you need to spend another 150k just for kick, build an entire village in a 3rd world country. Chris
  5. Doh.. I've got to do something about this. You're the 3rd person thats contacted with a Mac. Hmmm.. Might have to set something else up for next season. Chris
  6. Hello, This is probably a long shot, but I HATE ebay at this current time and really dont want to have to auction it off. I thought I'd give it a try here before I break down and post it on ebay. I bought an X30 high 3 months ago for school. I took it to class the first week and haven't touched it since. It really is a cool little Pocket PC. It bench marks at the top of its class and the built in wireless is amazing. When I do use it, its on the couch to check my e-mail and surf TSG :P It has an SD card slot and I use a 1 gig card. I put movies, mp3s and tons of programs on it. They are only 55 bucks and well worth the upgrade. Here are the specs from the Dell site: ----Axim X30 with 624 MHz & Integrated Wireless----- Axim X30, IntelĀ® 624MHz, 64MB ROM, 64MB SDRAM (built in), 802.11b, Bluetooth, X30 Leather Carrying Case, Belkin 3-In-1 Sync/Charger Trav Kit Axim I have the original box, manuals, and accesories. I also bought Spb pocket plus 2 which is a PPC managing software. Lets your control the desktop and settings easily. Thats installed so thats installed. I have a pack of screen protectors that I'll include. I love the PDA for music and media, but dont use it enough to keep it. I've decided to sell it and just buy an ipod instead. Seems like $300 is the fair going price. They're selling for slightly higher on ebay. I'd rather sell it here and stay away from the hassel they call ebay. Check http://www.aximsite.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=95 if you want to hear more about the x30. Contact me at golfjunkie(at)gmail.com with any questions. I can take pictures if you need them. Chris
  7. Thought I'd give this a bump. After exchanging PMs with a few users and Chris I set up a league. Its completely free, but there are some requirements to join. Check out the league's site at: www.poker4golfers.com/poker_league.html We're playing at the site below, but check the league FAQ and also the Join page for details.
  8. Being that you're in Canada, I believe you have to be 18. You do have to depoist $20 into the site. You do not have to wager any of that money. You just need to deposit the minmum amount to create a "real money" account. You can withdraw those funds after 7 days. Read more about the funding of your league at the league FAQ. Chris alright then ill be joining july 4th or 5th. thank you Ouch that sucks... Maybe you can talk your Dad into signing up, and you play for him  To give some people examples of future prizes I have been in contact with Ari at Scratch Golf and I hear there is a new set of CBs coming out  Chris

  12. There's no need for :money: .. Its free!
  13. Send them to me at [email protected] and I'll host them for you. Chris
  14. I'm glad to see new users so excited to give our league a try. You're exactly the type of person I was hoping to get involved. I knew there would be a hand full that wouldn't have a problem with it. My thoughts were, if another golfer was the one walking new users through it, they'd be more inclined to join us. There isn't anything to be worried about and if you have any questions, plesae contact me. You might want to read the neteller article in the Bonus Hunting section. Neteller is the counter part of Paypal. If you've used Paypal, you'll have no problem getting use to Neteller. The article points out the basics and gives you some helpful hints. My calculations are that if we get 100 members, we should produce enough funding to give away some great prizes. Wedges, putters, drivers, irons, etc are all in the planning. We just need to get the members. Make sure you spread the word. Cheers to Season !! Chris
  15. Thats the point of me making the league. Online poker can be scary for some users but it is slowly becoming a craze that everyone wants to partake of. Its on every TV channel through out the week. This summer there will be even more advertising geared towards poker. I thought it would be a fun way for us to get together and BS outside of the forum. It will also give those like your self a great place to learn with no risk at all. Chris
  16. Poker4Golfers is excited to be apart of this wonderful forum. We have been planning for this day for weeks. We can't wait for the members to take advantage of the amazing league we've set up. Poker4Golfers came about a month ago when there was some discussion about starting a poker night for the members of the golf discussion boards. I decided to use my inside knowledge and connections to get us the best deals possible. The league is indirectly funded by the members, yet it is free. Check out our League FAQ for more information. It should answer any questions you may have. We plan to give away great prizes like drivers, sets of irons, and large cash prizes as well. The prizes all depend on the number of members we get. The goal is 100 members, which should be easy to do, especially since its FREE. There is nothing to lose. Again, we are very excited to be a part of this forum and can't wait for the sense of community that is here at TSG to be spread over to Poker4Golfers. Please check out our site at www.poker4golfers.com and look around. There will be a lot of content added over the next few days. The first league event is on Feb 20th. Check the site for details. Chris
  17. For some reason this is how they all start out. "Only 10 sets" then a few months from now t there will be more then 25 sets on TSG alone. The people that get their hands on them first will always tell you they are extremely rare to increase the value. I'm not saying I know the facts on these irons, but just stating an observations.
  18. What did I tell ya?  He converted me years ago. Now its 869 or nothing. I wont even settle for a pro95. If you like the 869 in a fairway wood try a HK Pro 80 tipped up a litlte bit in a driver. Chris
  19. He used to, but don't know if he still does. Its tough work. Extremely hard on the fingers. I played golf with Joe a few days after he did a set of putters and his fingers were raw. If it wasn't for Joe's OCD, he might keep the feeling in his fingers for a few more years. Chris
  20. Wills a great guy and a great golfer, he'd be even better if him and Joe would stop trying to make me eat sushi every time we go out.... :-D Congrats Will! We'll all cheering for you.
  21. Oldie but a goodie. That guy has some other funny flashes that I'll have to find. The Russia vs England in a "who has the best celebs" contest is my favorite. Chris
  22. I've only played on PartyPoker, and Stars. Starts doesn't offer private tables, but they do offer private tournaments. PartyPoker offers both. I'm going to looking possible a private software so people don't have to sign up online if they don't feel like it. With a 10 dollar buy in, if we had 40+ players we could give a way some decent prizes to the top 3.. I'm comfortable with a higher buyin, but we'll have to see how everyone else feels. We could even do a 40 or 50 dollar buyin every few months and make it a TSG Major, then we'd be able to play for some amazing prizes... Chris
  23. Ah, who needs to study? I think it would be kind of fun, even if it was just a few of us playing low limit on a private table. A tournament with some prizes would be even better. Hopefully others chime in. Chris
