Anyone have a set of pullouts available?

WTB Miura 301's
Matt, I'd go for the CB1006s. Apparently there is a significant difference between these and the 301s. You should inquire with Chris. I had the same interest a couple of months ago. I've since picked up two sets of CB1006s. They are great great irons (long heel to toe much like the Titleist 690.mb). Not as forgiving as the MP60s but great irons altogether. Hope this helps. t-md

Scotty Cameron DETOUR -I'm a believer!!!
I chose the Detour 1 (with offset) seeing that this most closely resembled the types of putters I've had experience with. Hot Stix is a great place. I wouldn't go as far as saying they are the absolute best -- majority of their staff are very early on in their careers so to speak and the knowledge base of their staff is questionable at times. When I was in AZ I heard reference to the 800 club -- meaning that every "fitted" driver would run the consumer >$800. In my opinion (and this is only for drivers, wedges, and irons) -- going to a sophisticated center like Callaway or even some Golfsmith Centers may provide you with equal data at a much lower cost. For fitting at Hot Stix, the putter fitting is by far the best service of all services provided. It was especially memorable with Natalie Gulbis watching (she realizes that I'm a much better putter than she is : ) ). I'd give the putter a try -- or try a friends. I was a purest before with respect to putter head designs. I even have a Cameron Napa that I previously used. Nothing like technology....

Scotty Cameron DETOUR -I'm a believer!!!
Fantastic questions. The tail behind the hitting face is not as distracting as one would think. If the focus is on the ball the tail becomes more one of a visual aid with your peripheral vision. Thus far I've had no problems on uphill or downhill putts with varying slopes. The speed off of the face is definitely quicker than the Newport 2. I must say though that even though ALL of my putters were fitted with a sophisticated camera system (14 in total I believe), the Detour appears to roll the ball so much better. I'm taking this one down to Arizona for evaluation if I ever decide to return for an analysis. This may sound crazy but I can't imagine putting with anything else. I'm sure the market would be greater if the flange was reduced (primarily for those who are turned off by it).

Scotty Cameron DETOUR -I'm a believer!!!
I picked up a Cameron Detour this past week. I've been a Bettinardi BB-42 Millenium and Newport 2 fan all of my life. This Detour is the best putter that I've played with. I've been fitted by Hot Stix golf in the past by a friend of mine who is a pro so the Bettinardi and Newport and my Cameron Studios were all fitted for me. The unfitted Detour is so very solid. Getting used to it address was easy for me. I can't believe how true the roll is.

Forged J-spec Iron recommendations...
Depends on how much money you're willing to spend. I don't believe that purchasing a J-forged iron set over $1,000 will dramatically help your game. You can't expect to receive a completely unbiased view here or on any board. Just for kicks, I built a set of Golfsmith forged cavity backs 600c - model and shot the best round this year (68). I've tried them all and nearly have them all - The latest: Miura MB1006, TM TP MB Forged, Nike split cavities tour issue, etc. It all comes down to what you want out of them. If you really want a Japan forged iron set that is fantastic and very long -- Tourstage TS202 (you can grab a set at a very reasonable price on eBay). Try as many irons as you can. When you refine your game, then spend the hard earned money.

Iomic grips? how to install?
Mineral spirits will work just fine. It really depends on the type of tape that you're using -- Golfsmith sells "water activated" tape that doesn't work well at all with mineral spirits (yes, I've made that stupid and critical mistake).

Scratch Tour Blades Chrome 3-9 Irons Rifle 6.0 - NEW!
I have a set of Scratch Tour Blades 3-9 (seven irons in all) equipped with Royal Precision Rifle 6.0 shafts. The irons are standard length and one degree upright. All the irons are NEW with the exception of a couple of irons that have only hit one or two balls. Retail is $1799 (for 3-P). I'm raising funds for yet another set of irons -- wouldn't mind trying the Epon irons. Will consider trades or sell outright for $750 shipped and insured.
