Nippon Putter Shafts
Does the Nippon putter shaft feel any different from other steel putter shafts (either regular or heavy weight)?

Cleveland Golf JPN sold to Srixon Sports JPN
These are the best wedges I've owned. Not only beautiful to look at, but extremely versatile. Plus that great Miura feeling (sorry Chris, I know you don't like spin welded feel)...very solid.

Best players forged cavity back set - 2008 season
What the difference between the Miura CB-1006's and CB-202? I assume they are slightly different grinds, but not sure what the difference is.

Nippon 1150 Question......Please help.
SS of 108-112 here. I had Chris build a set of Muira CB-1006's last year with 1150 X (did not soft step). Perfect flex for my swing...launches slighter higher, but also flatter trajectory. I really like the feel vs. Rifles and True Temper.

2007 Tourstage X-Drive, 9.5* Driver
2007 Tourstage X-Drive, 9.5* driver with Grafalloy ProLaunch 65S shaft and new Lamkin Sting Free Crossline Tour (oversized) grip. This driver has seen very limited play and is in excellent shape. This was a new design in 2007 for Tourstage promoting a medium/high trajectory with low spin, its apperance is pear shape and classic, deep face (see pics) and high tech looks, with two magnesium weight plugs installed at the toe and heel. This 460 model is designed to play a straight to slight draw shot. SOLD

George Spirits GS-MB Irons w/Pics!
Great looking iron. Actually looks to have a thinner topline than my Miura CB-1006's, with slightly more offset. I wonder how forgiving it will play.
-
Cavity back with least offset
As a current 1006 user I agree. Least amount offset of player's forged CB's. After playing these, EVERYTHING else appears to alot of offset.

What wedges would you get?
The Miura forged Cleveland 588's, if you can find them. Best wedges I've played in a long, long time from a combination of grind, feel and control (very versatile). Plus they just look awesome!!

Cleveland MIURA FORGED Wedges!
These look great and an excellent grind. The combination of an old Roger Cleveland grind and Miura!! Wonder why they didn't do a satin finish!! Guess I'll have to get used to shiny chrome....... Chris, are these spin welded?

Yururi Jersey Wedge, What finish do you like?
Shiny,,,,it will most likely hold up better

Tourstage X-Drive 460 Sweet Spot
I played my first round with the X-Drive. I had 5 drives in the 320-330 range (fairways were firm) and 8 of 12 over 300!! All were hit in the middle of the face (as compared to my G2 which I'd hit higher on the face). Part of this is adjusting to teeing the ball higher due to the deeper face. That will take time!!

Tourstage X-Drive 460 Sweet Spot
Thanks, I assume you mean the 2nd to 5th groove from the top?
-
Tourstage X-Drive 460 Sweet Spot
I was wondering where the optimal sweet spot is on the Tourstage X-Drive 460. I just picked up one and am still adjusting to the deeper face. On my Ping G2 (great, consistent driver for its time) the optimal spot was the top third of the clubface. The ball came off hottter with less spin. Has anyone figured this out with an X-Drive 460 yet??

TourStage X-Drive Weight Screws
Did you change the bottom for a more satin finish?
-
TourStage X-Drive Weight Screws
Without taking the shaft out to weight it, how can you tell the black market X-Drives from the real thing. I bought mine from someone in Hawaii, it looks real (w/ no rattles) stock Tourstage XD-60 shaft, grip, etc....

BERES by Honma Pics
Great post on feel Chris. I couldn't agree more. I assume you are including shaft and grip under either #4 or #5. When it comes to putters this is the reason Cameron is so successful. His putters 'typically' feel more solid because of his attention to all of the details, not just one or two.

07 X Drive Stock Shaft?
I just received my X-Drive 9.5 460. It came with the stock XD-60 in stiff. I was expecting a softer stiff and planning on having to reshaft immediatey. Image my surprise at the range today to have a fairly tight dispersion and trajectory. Granted it was only one session, but this low torque shaft might actually work well for my 110-115 ss. I love the feel of the clubhead. It felt as though the ball stayed on the clubface longer and then just exploded off.

Wedge Choice - Epon X-Model or Tourstage 2007 X-Wedge
How much different is the shape and grind than the 2006 X-Wedges?

HELP! AXIV vs. RODDIO vs. OZIK
Back in my professional teaching days Henry Griffitts (custom fit clubs) advocated as low of torque as possible with more flexible shafts (TT manufactured them for HG). This combination really worked for most of my students (low , mid and high handicaps). I've never been able to control driver with torques over 3. Guess it's my medium fast tempo and 110+ss. I just don't see what benefit higher torque gives.

Tourstage 2007 X-Drive, Epon 460, or J33R 460 ?
I just received my X-Drive 460 9.5 (stock XD-60 S shaft). I couldn't resist when no one was watching an eBay auction last week. It was at an obscenely low price (still in the plastic)!! I wish it wasn't so late on the East Coast or I'd be tempted to lauch a few between the neighbor's houses..... This is one great looking driver. The head looks slightly smaller than my beloved G2, but defintely deeper! More to come this weekend when I get to the range. I can't wait to see the ball flight, sound, feel and control. Does anyone know where the X-Drive's are made?

So you want to Grind Wedges?
This is awesome Chris. Another first for TSG!

2007 Tourstage X-Wedge w/PICS!
Any pix of the 58*? Chris, How different is the grind from my 2006 X-Wedges? Wondering if I buy another set........

epon new grips
Sweet...It would be great to see a mohagony one is perforated leather. Of the four, I like the second from left! I've used The Grip Masters since 2003 and love them, just edging out Iomic's

Best MOI Driver to Look At
I'm looking for a replacement for my G2. It's ever been a great driver, both in terms of accuracy and distance, but I feel that I've fallen behind in terms of technology. I've thought about both the Epon and Tourstage, but wondered about the MOI of each compared to other drivers. What other technology considerations are there (I know shaft is critical)? As a information technologist, I love the concept behind Ping's Rapture. The fact that Ping bought a super-computer (Cray) to design it really impresses me!! But in the end, I want even more distance and consistency than I currently have with my G2, or it's not worth changing. Suggestions??

Best Import Wedge?
I love my Tourstage 2006 X-Wedges (52* & 58*). The 8* bounce and overall grind is extremely versatile from fairway, lobs, bunkers, rough, tight lies and chipping. Plus the Fe99.9 makes them butter...... I didn't care for the black oxide finish, but The Iron Factory is back in business and did a nice Tour Satin chrome finish (supposedly they are providing chroming to Nike's tour work).
