  1. I am making my list also: A new 56 deg wedge - Scratch OTR or ....? A new 460 CC Driver - maybe like Mr. Al's 3 wood shaft - 9.1 needs a change any recommendations ? Maybe a hybrid ........ Putter may take a refinsih trip to Slighter Golf Hide the boxes - screw that - please deliver to my work address
  2. Regarding the CB's - only ha a couple of sessions at the range since we are in a cold snap - first was with the DGs300's an the second with PX. In comparison to the MP-37's Feel - softer Distance - same - but it was about 30 deg. hitting range rocks Look - just lovely - always loved the setup an appearance Workability - about as good as the blades Forgiveness - for me no big difference.
  3. Hey Chainsaw - Happy Birthday - Biotch :tsg_smiley_laughatyou: Mike good to hear from you  Winter is hear - damn cold in Chi Town. My name is Andy I am a ho ! Always loved the look of the CB's - got a good deal :tsg_smilie_money3: :tsg_smiley_laughatyou:
  4. Very sweet looking - love the finish. I think I would pass on the script and opt for the S stamp. Is the finish available for wedges ?
  5. Thanks for the replies so far. Just to clarify some points : I am not looking for a shaft to lower my flight. I am not looking for the magic shaft that will add 10 yards. I am looking for the right fit were I will not loose any yardage but will have maximum accuracy potential and the right feel. I have a set of irons on the way with S300 in them - they are to short -and yes I can simply extend them - but I love to tinker. I have ruled out the SL option - as I am leary of going to an ultralight. I am leaning to a soft stepped X100 since I feel I am borderline. If I had the $$$$$$ I would try TC - or even go back to PX.
  6. Thanks - Ken PX was alright - nothing too special - it is a long winter plenty of time to tinker.
  7. Need more info on the staff bag - is it in the catalog ? Is shipping killer on the bag to the U.S. ?
  8. Entered all my info into shaft fit for irons: If I go with a tour weight - they recommend a DGX100 If I go average weight - they recommend a DGX100 If I go light weight - the recomend a DG SL S300 (huh ????) I have always used DG S300 - more by default as they are standard issue. I liked PX 6.0 staright in a TM 300 but in a Z101 I liked it soft stepped (too much info.). Nice shaft but not worth the $$$$ IMO. 6.0 TFR was not too stiff but produced a higher ball flight. Anyway my ball flight is high - more do so to operator error - so I am not looking for a higher launching shaft. I hit a 7 iron 160, have a fast temp, more of a sweeper with small shallow divots. Most shots are high draw - and misses are left. If I go DGX100 should I soft step once to be safe as I may be borderline?
  9. First snow flurries here today - and yes it is damn cold. Got rid of the Mizuno's and have a set of TM CB RAC's on the way. Now to decide what shafts to put in them. Plenty of time to tinker after Turkey Day ! This is the only golf site that I can get into at work since the new firewall was built.
  10. Well - I am just getting over the flu. At least it wasn't as bad as the kids. So I watched golf for 5 hours and now I am watching the Bears. At least my appetite is back an I am grilling a prime rib for the family. I have not played a round of golf in three weeks - only hit the range once. Can't stop thinking of some new irons - probably go with a set of MP-60's and interchange with the 37's that I have.
  11. Mike - hang in there and keep the head up high. I would offer you my liver but that would just make things worse - LOL. Shoe - keep the economy pumpin and spend, spend , spend. Lance - how's those B stone irons - better than z101, mr23, X tour, X18,CG2, TA2, etc................................. Alan - Get the 60's I hear they are forgiving and just as nice as the 32's - I may get 3-4-5-6 for my set.
  12. Oh and forgot - GO WHITE SOX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. I think the 75 will fit better - just based on the facts the you like the s400's in the irons - that are heavier and the afct that you hit left with the 65 - how is the trajectory? Send me the driver and have leaderboard send the shaft and grip - I will take care of the rest - my friend. :smile2:
  14. Well I just got back from one of my better rounds of the year - shot 1 over on the back side after posting a piss poor score of 8 over on the front. Grant it I am only an 11 handi - but was very happy having back to back birdies for the first time and three birdies in the entire round an all time best for me. Pumbed a drive 350 on a 480 Par 5 dogger - nothing like hitting the backside of a fairway bunker picking up like 50 yds. Alan - for what it is worh I like the NV 75 much better than the 65. Better control and distance tipped at 3/4 of an inch. You may want to spend $80 for a reshaft before you spend $400+ for a new driver.
  15. Way to go Allen !   Must be those quality built irons. :smile2:
  16. Mac - appreciate the offer but do not have two dimes to rub together, I have made an effort to get out - even if it is twilight on the local dog track. Even managed some low numbers for a hack like me. Hit the chat room but some knuckle head keeps logging in as a guest.
  17. Simply call Royal Precision and tell them that you have an older set of silkscreened PX shafts and would like replacment decals. There is no flex designation on the decal. They sent me a set for free.
  18. That bag is just plain sweet !!!!!!!! How is the finish holding up that black oxide did for you ?
  19. Well hello - hello ! Alan - congrats on the puppy - nothing like cleaning up poop in the back yard and buying 40 lb. bags of dog chow. Seriously - I loved my first dog a doberman that I bought my wife for our first anniversary. She only made it 12 years - but it was work and fun having her. My kids bought a sheltie mix last year - she is finally becoming a great dog. Anyway - my golf game just plain sucks - oh ! maybe because I only played 4 rounds this month and went to the range once. :wah: :wah: :wah: Hope all is well for evreyone else. If somemone would like to lend me a set of game imrovment clubs I would appreciate it. Can't hit these blades to save my life. :fever:
  20. Just stopped in to say hi ! Hope all is well - with this drought I cannot get motivated to play more than once a week. Have not been to the range in at least a month. Spending alot of time with friends and family on the beach. Lance- posted at WRX - nice bag - would like info on the PX vs. the TT's. Pete - good to see you are back on a steady basis - keep the 1.5 - I switch back to my Newp. 2 from my Guage mallet all the time. Alan - hope all is well down South.
  21. Nothing new here other than I am getting ready to take my kids to camp for 6 days. My game just plain sucks - Kind of like mud - all aspects just ar lack luster. I did manage to get my 6 year old son out for his first 18 holes- well more like 15 - as he was fading a bit. Mike - hang in there buddy and good to hear from you. Chain- go with the FT-3 - they are hot. I heard you could special order a Fuji 6. X tours should be perfect for you as you have always been a closet shovel lover - LOL.
  22. Mike - that is great news  Just joking about the chair - did have a great day
  23. Your just plain crazy  By the way my driver has had the same shaft in it since March. Actually besides the putter nothing in the bag has changed since mid - April. Hang in there - get some mizzy's.
  24. We need a sticky with the definition of insanity  I had a great Father's Day weekend - problem is now I am starting to shake - LOL. Did not play but enjoyed the day on the beach yesterday drinking Carona's until I fell out of my beach chair.
  25. Shoe - sorry to hear about the elbow. As it pertains to your daughters. Call a few boarding scholls and have them send some brochures to the house and of course leave them out on the kitchen table. Also print out info from the internet. If they are of working age - get them a job at a factory or loading trucks for UPS. One summer working in a tool bin of a large factory really made me appreciate the $$ my parents were spending for college.
