  1. Would you consider this particular driver/shaft combination is targeting lowhcp/better/stronger players vs. JPX line for 'regular' players, i.e. hcp 12 and above?
  2. Just to confuse you more, I read a teaser ad from Diamana recently in a Japanese golf mag that they are coming out with yet another line of shaft that is not color 'coded' but with a numerical designation not unlike the Axiv line. Perhaps the Japanese expert like Chris or Gocchin can tell us more.
  3. Just exactly where you plan to hit or play in this miserable weather (unless you are going to Cuba or some warm distinations)? :tsg_smilie_sad:
  4. Great Info T but what is Ball Apex?
  5. Hi T: Your 'Bag' seems to be different than before. More new toys or just interim waiting for the new X-Drive? :tsg_smilie_cool: I guess you finally shafted the 6060L. Anyway I have just ordered the NGS Mach Line 5350 Proto but no deserving head to put it on yet. :tsg_smilie_wink: I went to the driving range this morning to try out (a buddy's) a XXIO driver, 3W, 4W U6 and forged irons all with MP400 in R flex. They are all very easy to hit and the stock MP400 felt better than the MP300 of last year. R
  6. My 40 m/s HS is just under 90 mph. You need to convert you mile(s) into meters first then divided by 3600 sec (1 hour) would be your metric HS. If you are into Japanese clubs and shafts, this is what you have to do (think in terms of metric.)
  7. I am just curious about the time zone as it appears on the bottom of the forum index page along with the date. It shows one hour ahead of Eastern Standard Time which makes it Atlantic Canada. :tsg_smilie_confused:
  8. Just notice on the respective site, the I-Flow (from RC) is a half inch longer than the Tour AD 75 (graphite option on RC) and the Epon X graphite. Strange if they are basically the same irons and same loft and lie.
  9. When could we expect your review/general impression of the JC606 and SF206?
  10. This question probably have been asked many times but could someone confirm or advise whether these two irons are basically the same and RC being supplied by Edon with RC's name on it. They almost look identical except for shaft options.
  11. The Conductor must be a Europe/US only line as the company Japanese site does not have them under all their different brands, i.e. Exim, Majesty etc.
  12. Pardon my ignorance Chris but what is this Tour Concepts shaft?
  13. I have a new driver with a stated MOI of 4,000 cm2. Does it mean that the head is somewhat unstable as compared to the new Nike?

Looking at the Fourteen JC606 Driver in R flex and the new SF206 3 Wood. I would be grateful for any hands on experience/comments from all you Japanese club experts out there. I also read a post here somewhere that Fourteen is related to SYB but is the JC606 actually using (Japan Made) SYB shaft? Thanks in advance
  15. I have tons of problem with the new format and had to somehow go directly to forum and pro shop to make things work.

I went to a shop yesterday and demo a Yoshimura driver into a net. It is a 450cc Ti and the shaft, I was told, a Mamiya shaft (55g at 4.8T). It felt ok but then it is into net and I am not sure whether I can trust those 'simulators'.as to the launch angle or distance. Judging from its catalog, it seems to be a small Japanese outfit that also sells components. The 450cc driver reminds me of the Work driver I just demo in Japan. I would be grateful for any additional info, comment or expereience from all you Japanese club experts out there. Many thanks
  17. Here lies the problem that most of the time that we duffers (hcp 14) have no business playing the 901 0r 902, small head and no offset and all. The beauty and design just blind our better judgement hence a round of 102+. Then again a 5 and half hours around would ruin anybody's game.

The attached image does look very 'new' as in the Z model. It is most unlikely that Srixon would introduce another driver this year (besides the ZR600) or even next hence this could be from a very creative 'factory/foundry' from China. I have seen golfers playing Tourstage putters in China even before Tourstage launching the product in Japan. In another word, I don't know the answer.

For all the Japanese shaft experts. I would like to hear your unbiased opinion as to raw distance between the two shaft assuming everything else is the same. I am sure they all feel great with soft tips like all Japanese Fujis and ADs which I am familiar. I am just trying to find out raw distance winner of these two. I brought a Axiv 5556M for a friend's 50th birthday and his drive gains at least 20 to 25 yards on average (compares to his North America stock G5.) I am just interested in these two brands at the moment. Thank you.

If you are saying it is a new release than it must be th ZR600 which was released on September 15 with spec and news all over the web. Try www.golf.dunlop.co.jp and see whether you can find it. Also look at the proshop here to see whether it is the same driver you have.

Are you trying to replace the TK 353 2 stars or the Tourstages? People buy Honma for its shafts and by replacing them with a cheaper or no as good shaft does not make sense unless the TK is too soft. Replacing the Tourstages I can understand.

In Epon website, the stock shaft is simply call Wepon or something similar. Is this stock shaft the same as the NGS D REV. The site offers other shaft options such as GD and Mits but not D REV. Can the Epon experts enlighten me on this confusion or this is just a TSG option.

I can confirm what you just said. My Fuji Six, 569, ZCom and Tour Release (all S flex)all play about 245-248 CPM at 45". A Vista Pro would play stiffer since it is more towards North America while the Sixes and Speeders are all Japanese spec. My SS is only 88-90 mph which would put me at a R flex at best on North America spec but a SR and S on a Japanese spec. Most players playing Japanese clubs can confirm that.
  24. Are you saying that the Srixon one gets in North America is the same or all made in Japan? In order to keep price down in North America, most 'Japanese' branded products are being made in China. The Mizuno one gets in the US is not the same one you would get in Japan for instance. Most of the time, they do not carry the same stock shafts hence play very differently. Perhaps Srixon Japan is on slightly lower price point than say the premium sibling XXIO, they could be manufactured elsewhere. The built and playing quality, to me, is like day and night. Once you play with the true Japanese built clubs, it is difficult to go back to the North American products.

I hope the T3 Hit is better than my old PRGR Zoom Driving Spoon of perhaps 10 years ago. PRGR used to produce great irons and good drivers.
