  1. In Epon website, the stock shaft is simply call Wepon or something similar. Is this stock shaft the same as the NGS D REV. The site offers other shaft options such as GD and Mits but not D REV. Can the Epon experts enlighten me on this confusion or this is just a TSG option.
  2. I can confirm what you just said. My Fuji Six, 569, ZCom and Tour Release (all S flex)all play about 245-248 CPM at 45". A Vista Pro would play stiffer since it is more towards North America while the Sixes and Speeders are all Japanese spec. My SS is only 88-90 mph which would put me at a R flex at best on North America spec but a SR and S on a Japanese spec. Most players playing Japanese clubs can confirm that.
  3. Are you saying that the Srixon one gets in North America is the same or all made in Japan? In order to keep price down in North America, most 'Japanese' branded products are being made in China. The Mizuno one gets in the US is not the same one you would get in Japan for instance. Most of the time, they do not carry the same stock shafts hence play very differently. Perhaps Srixon Japan is on slightly lower price point than say the premium sibling XXIO, they could be manufactured elsewhere. The built and playing quality, to me, is like day and night. Once you play with the true Japanese built clubs, it is difficult to go back to the North American products.
  4. I hope the T3 Hit is better than my old PRGR Zoom Driving Spoon of perhaps 10 years ago. PRGR used to produce great irons and good drivers.
  5. I do see them at Yahoo Japan and they do have 6 dots. Titleist Japan's new spin milled wedge does not have the dots but everything is the same. I suspect that the 6 dots are older models (2005?) of the same wedge.
  6. I have seen these wedges in the stores in Japan and Thailand but never play with them. They look very much like the Zodia but half the price ($150-170 or 17,000Yen to 20,000Yen) The thing is so rough, you can file your nails with it, just like the old Zodia of many years ago. Would we be seeing these wedges in the Pro Shop soon? I am not 100% sure whether this is the brand name. The Japanese characters on the wedge mean, I believe, 'Softly Struck Zone."
  7. Try comparing the spec. of the 505 in www.golf.dunlop.co.jp/ Most XXIO and probably Srixon (Japanese versions at least) are still made in Japan as compared with other like Bridgestone that are made or assembled in China. They do not offer the Project X as a shaft option in Japan.
  8. Judging from the PRGR site, the M3 looks like a rather normal low profile FW and normal length, i.e. 42.5" for a strong 3. I believe that PRGR is only promoting T3, blue, black and now red.
  9. The Duo driver was popular a couple years ago but it is no longer on the PRGR official site and not even on the spec sheet. Can anyone confirm that it has been discontinued?
  10. I was looking thru the TourStage Japan site and could not find any mention of the Synergy line but the English site lists them as 'new' but then also lists X-Drive 405 as new. I believe that the Synergy line is being discontinued or has been discontiued as they were not that popular in Japan and TS is promoting the ViQ line for both men and women. This is purely out of curosity as I did not like the Synergy driver as I do not like composite heads but the irons are OK.
  11. Plus1: When would we be seeing the shootout between your 2 Epons?
  12. Thanks Plus1 for the quick response. I thought I was a fairly big club ho among my mates but in this forum, I think I am just a baby with only a new set irons every two years and new driver every year.
  13. Hi Chris: Can one order any shaft/spec under the DRev line up as part of the 'stock shaft-WEpon' option for a Epon driver without any upcharge?
  14. The driver launch date in Japan is September 15 but most online shops are taking orders now.
  15. are these the same that have been on sale here for the past 3 weeks at TSG eBay store?
  16. Actually I tried last night but failed. I would be grateful if someone would tell me/us 'technically challenged' how to post pictures on this forum.
  17. I actually have 2 sets, one steel shaft (R200) and a graphite limited edition T Zoid Pro with a golf badge over the power bar with an up graded shaft. Both are Japanese versions and I would never part with the my limited edition. If I ever get my digital camera and programme working (and figure out how to post it), I would share it with you all. Regards,
  18. Then you should consider the irons from Hiro Matsumoto. It is available at TSG and of course, Japan which is where I brought my set. It is now available in gun metal black but it is the satin finish that you would appreciate the beauty and workmanship. Their forging is as soft if not softer than any Mizuno forged clubs like the old T-Zoid Pro from Japan.
  19. Read some post recently in this forum that someone was mentioning a store in Japan that he refers to Japanese Golf town. I dont believe it was Victoria Sport which I had visited many times. Would be grateful if anyone would give me the name and address (website if any) of any mega golf store in Toyko or other major Japaanese cities so i can go and spend a day.
  20. Chris: what are the shaft option (if any) on these R7 forged limited?
  21. This iron set was on TSG eBay store this afternoon and now it is gone. What is happening? It is being withdrawn or due to prior sale? Just curious as I was going to advise a friend to bid.
  22. I am looking to for a new center shaft Red Tubu at 34 inches. Would consider Black if it is center shaft. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. :tsg_smilie_sad:
  23. To All your Japanese equipment experts: I brought a Japanese made putter a few years ago on a impluse called Giga. It is not a Gauage, Japanese or otherwise. While it seems to be a 'non-brand' unlike the Matsumoto, it was at a relative expensive price of $200. I could not find much on the internet as I cannot read or write Japanese. Any knowledge or background on this brand would be appreciated.
  24. I bought a set in Japan 2 years ago with Speeder 603 in R flex. The irons themselves look prettier than the picture. Since it came with the 'real' speeder shaft, it was very expensive like 250,000 yen for set of 8 which was approximately USD2,300 at the time. It is not the most forgiving of irons but rather than blade like cavity. I have a problem loading this particular Speeder even in R flex. The Epon is new and while I still own the Matsu, I am playing mainly with the Miura with NSP 850. Both the Miura and Matsu ate pieces of art.
