  1. yep..... but only small jobs..... shaft swaps, regrips etc. hardest part is getting ferrules to look good. just changed thshafts in my fourteen wedges to Ns pros.... turned out well except i used some white ferrules i had lying around and realised i don't like the look much

anyone know where I can source some Fourteen ferrules? the ones with the white washer...... or someting similar? thanks
  3. Can't imagine what you are going through........ but thinking of everyone...... good luck.
  4. Great to hear real User experiences.... Confirms my belief that this is one club that's not for me.... But yeah Yamaha equipment is top notch.
  5. what are the standard shaft offerings in the 705 drivers? Thanks
  6. Yay....... I love it when someone finds something significantly better than they've ever had before. I love my longest yard shaft too. Didn't like the Crazy wedges though..........

me too, and the new Tourstage 705 should be out soon....... decisions desisions......
  8. +1 ..... they're my current gamers. There's a reason why Fourteen have produced successful wedges down the years. 'Chunkiness' is a relative term and you can get used to the look of anything that flat out performs, and these do. They were an impulse purchase for me and they really surprised me in terms of feel.
  9. I currently play the AF102 with a Crazy Longest Yard, it plays like nothing else....... The Shaft takes the left out and you can hit it hard, you never lose the feeling of where the clubhead is and the feel (T described it as the nearest to Persimmon you can get with TI.... or something) anyways....... the best feeling drver going. Prepare yourself for some great fun if you do go down this road.

will it be as expensive as the 304P?....... I know that comes/came with the GD DI shaft as standard, but that is/was spendy club when compared to a lot of the competition. Would love to see a side by side pic of the 304P against this new club to see how much 10cc really looks. One of these woods is in my future.......
  11. I was always a Tourstage driver fan as I loved the feel, and then I got an Epon....... Best feeling driver I've ever had the pleasure to hit. That shaft is on my list to try, but it's pretty rare....... glad you don't find it too stiff as that would be my concern as many have mentioned it's stiffness. Give us a long term report some time please....
  12. You have to be careful about what pear shaped really means, some are often described as thus but (to me) really aren't. TS tend not to be (well to me anyway). The 901 is, the 701 isn't, although the 701R is supposed to be. Can't comment on the 703 as I haven't seen it. To my mind, and maybe heresy to say so on a JDM aimed site...... There is no finer looking pear shaped and compact looking head than the Adams Speedline Classic (Deep Faced and non DF) It hides it's 460cc very well and looks compact to me. Supposedly the just released 9046LS is very similar. Maybe a generalization but usually the deep faced drivers tend to be pear-shaped and also compact looking, as that is the look most 'players' look for. Good Luck and let us know what you end up with?
  13. My Sonartec SS07 is .335 so I would think your GS Tour would be too.

Probably GP Multi compound..... well for the left hand any way (if you're right -handed). Probably any of the Polymer type grips (IOMIC, NOWON etc.) will be the worst as they are generally the softest.
  15. Another great post Sup!...... keep it up Have you tried a Crazy Longest Yard?....... I'd like to know how that compares (for you)?

You can't go wrong with Golds....... I am awaiting a GF putter and have received USPS notification that it's 'out for delivery'

Quite a bit of feel is actually sound, forged are softer(they ding up more easily) therefore produce a more muted sound. I'm not metallurgist or physicist but I'm not sure a harder feeling club equates to more distance, longer more flexible shafts definately would though. Even forged clubs feel(sound?) different to each other, I went from TS X-Blade CBS's to Epon 302's and the 302's feel so, so soft........ You have to try each type and even model that interests you to find out what is acceptable or pleasing to you. All I know is I couldn't go back to a cast club........ PS there are rumours on other boards that TM is coming out with several new FORGED irons next year, take that for what it's worth. Bon Chance

Thanks for the pics, ...... you've piqued my interest for sure,
  19. Can you comment on headshape at address? IS it pear shape or rounder (as seems to be the norm with Japanese Drivers). ....I'd love to see some pics :-) Cork
  20. Love the way Master Sasaya posts daily updates of his work on his website...... Tario/Cris ask him to publish in English as well, I'd love to read his commentary/thoughts. Cork

I've been playing a Sonartec ss07 3 wood for aeons and am thinking of replacing it with an RC BBD's 304P & or maybe a 5-wood. Has anyone actually hit one of these or even the 304H or 304T which look to be an updated version of the old Sonartecs, if so can you post your impressions?. If you had an RC/Sonartec and replaced to with something else, what did you spring for? Thanks Cork
  22. Real world / Real people testing is always a good read..... I guess spin was just eyeballing the trajectory? Great read!

  24. Me three! I know Tousrspec Cris likens Yamaha to be the Titleist of Japan, but that's all I've got...... any real world experiences out there?
