Notice the S or M located next to the number 63. We don't know what this means, rumor so far is that the red mana is for harder hitters but that is not confirmed yet nor is a release date for these.

Maybe it's like the tour only versions are, with varying tip characteristics. Such as tip stiff, tip medium and soft tips shafts within each weight group.
July 31, 200519 yr comment_100341 looks the job....good idea from mitsu because the diamana at the moment definately isnt for hard hitters! they needed to come up with a tip stiff shaft for all those animals out there! :surprize:

You think current diamana isn't for hard hitters? Then how come Tiger is using this exact shaft for his driver and FW.

August 1, 200519 yr comment_100364 I have an 83x tipped 1/2" in my R7 tour, SS is 125. I like it.

If im wrong and its some special made shaft like the one fuji made for him than thats cool too but you can make the diamana play well for almost anyone. btw chris whats with the stock shaft in the FW wood.
August 1, 200519 yr comment_100369 chris whats with the stock shaft in the FW wood. If it's a Japan Version Callaway it should be a GD. The JV Callaways have very good stock shafts.

August 1, 200519 yr comment_100391 lets face it. nothing tiger plays will ever be available to the public. sure, he plays the diamana, but there is no way he plays a retail version. same with his fwood, irons, wdges, ball and putter, although someone could perhaps customize a newport two with a sightdot
August 1, 200519 yr comment_100392 What you're saying about Tiger's Diamana not being the same that's available retail is 100% incorrect. Look at his 3wd if you need further proof. The only thing "tour" about his driver diamana is the graphics. The shaft is the same...
August 2, 200519 yr comment_100400 Any idea on the release date of the new series of this shaft and also cost?
August 2, 200519 yr comment_100402 would a high handicap player about a 15 handicap benefit from the diamana...what is so great about this shaft
August 2, 200519 yr comment_100404 would a high handicap player about a 15 handicap benefit from the diamana...what is so great about this shaft Sure. It's a smooth and tight shaft much like the Graphite Design Tour ADs. Just get the right flex for your swing speed.
August 2, 200519 yr comment_100412 come on now...if phil and ernie and retief and vijay can play shafts that we can get our hands on, it is plausible to believe that the matte blue diamana that tiger is using is the same as retail !!! it is tipped quite a bit...if you look at the flower band, you can se it is like 4" from the grip.....an untipped matte blue diamana will be only 2-2.5" from the grip....it appears that tiger's shaft is trimmed only from the tip....since he needs about 43.25" to make it play 45" in a 460, im guessing the shaft is tipped 2.5"
August 2, 200519 yr comment_100423 would a high handicap player about a 15 handicap benefit from the diamana...what is so great about this shaft absolutely, if your drives arent way off target, the tight dispersion can really keep the ball in play, maybe not in the fairway, but can sometimes can really save you from going OB. One day I wasnt driving it so well, it but i estimated that i saved at least 4 shots by keeping it in play that day. Worth every penny.
