Posted December 4, 200618 yr Got this club on Ebay for $55, don't know too much about it. I'm just experimenting different kinds of 4 woods. Thanks. Edited December 4, 200618 yr by theotherone
December 4, 200618 yr Pics? The "LB" series is late 80's early 90's. Came with the titanium carbon shafts which were light years ahead of it's time. In fact out of curiosity I put a 4 star Titanium carbon S1 shaft in a BB04 3 wood just last month. Still very good despite being a dozen year old technology. R1 will be a softish regular, be careful when tipping. The Titanium strands seem to really stiffen up quick when tipped.

December 5, 200618 yr I have a Honma Twin Marks Dual Attack 3 wood from the same era. Didn't really like the shaft (no stronger than a wet noodle), however I have re-shafted it and now it is my gamer. The quality of the heads is just sensational! :tsg_smilie_cool:
December 5, 200618 yr Jack, The dual attack came about 10 years later. That is approximately 15 generations of clubs if you use the TM model. The LBs have benn on closeout for the longest time at the local Honma dealer (15 years on closeout). I think they are $20 new with Hagane steel and $30 new with the Titanium Carbon shafts. The shafts alone are worth it IMHO

I absolutely LOVE the crown finish on these. I wish I could see this finish on some of the current woods. I wonder if someone can refinish woods to look like these?
March 1, 20168 yr Gorgeous Stu! I still have a Tour Model 4-wood and played Hi-Powered driver when in my teens. Must have had 3 or 4 of them with boron shafts. Then in 1995 I cracked the head of the last Hi-powered and got a Big-LB driver in steel with the titanium wrap shaft in S2. I played it the first two years in college even if Ping tried to give away their hideous drivers with whatever shafts we wanted. I brought it to Carlsbad and Escondido when my friend and I did some testing for TM and Titleist JDM line of clubs and it got much appreciation there ?
March 1, 20168 yr stunning in hand . biggish head but a semi sleek face makes the ball seem really easy to hit off the deck... and the largeness of the head makes it looks damn fine form a low tee as well. gee I hope these go well!!!
