idrive
I don't know if it was the bribes, the whining, or the threats... But with a lot of hard work, Thanks to Chris and the EPON Factory. They came thru with a Custom build and finish set of Technica Pro 1's, or "J" irons. I chose not to have the new "Type J" name tag. They are stunning. Every angle, every light they look different. If you have a copper X-wedge then you know what I'm talking about. They will never see a range ball. Going into the bag soon... as soon as I can quit staring at them and get myself to hit them. I think they're going to be in the bag a long, long time. Sure would appreciate any comments or questions Hope you enjoy!!

+TourSpecGolfer
For those who know how soft the technity black wedge is, the X model coppers will make you melt. Now imagine that feel through your entire set of Irons. Its what drives men mad

If I am not so happy with the Honma Beres..... ...then again, one can never have too many sets of irons maybe I should spam Chris' mailbox to set a set of these as well!!! Congratulations....great looking set! -Keng

gth1017
I have the copper wedges. I have the J's in chrome. I've often dreamed about the full set being copper. I'm happy for you that you had the vision to have this done and that Chris has the relationships to make it happen. Absolutely beautiful set that defines the art of clubmaking. Good for you and good for TSG.
K2_2
Just to echo what has already been said, great vision for the set, and a fantastic 'special order' from TSG .

ranghips
iDrive, you have out Ho'd us all, everyone is now filled with envy! What a beautiful set of irons, probably the nicest I have ever seen, they are too nice to play with, but as Chris says the standard type 'J' has probably the softest feel out there, these will be like melted butter. I can see you spending the rest of your life cleaning them! Enjoy.
daamartin
These are stunning now, but equally look like they will age gracefully with the care that I'm sure you will give them. I have a question for someonehere who has the copper Epon wedges - could you post images of an aged wedge with a bit of use please? I would like to see how they look before buying a set with this finish.....I think others might be interested in this too? Thanks for the great pics! rb2235
I was looking at these last night in bed as my wife was waiting for me to hit play on the Tivo machine to start Idol. As the seconds turned into minutes she's like come on what are you doing, my reply was I can't take my eyes off these irons. Incredible. Bat
Absolutely gorgeous looking set. And I bet they feel even better. How's the weight of the copper heads compared to carbon steel? Bat

I'll post pics but you'll have to wait a little while for the used pics. Rest assured however, that they will be seeing lots of use. I'll start a new thread for this so keep checking from time to time.
gth1017
I can't get the system to take more than one picture so I'll try different things. These were taken at the time I got them--played with them another month (about 10 rounds) and they still look the same.
gth1017
Here's some more...........Don't have face pics, but don't really show any wear to speak of. Surprisingly durable, not unlike the old Ping coppers. Can only imagine what the irons would be like. Oh, Chris, I know you and I haven't been close, but have I told you what a wonderful human being you are and how much I'd love a set just like these..................My PM box is empty, Chris............Help Me!! Good choice in going without the Type J badge. These belong in a catalogue.... on the cover.... Thanks for sharing, Bill
