January 23, 200817 yr comment_146934 This is a surprise....will it fit between the 460ZR and the EMB? Look forward to more pics!!!
January 23, 200817 yr comment_146941 Oh Chris, now why'd you have to go and do that for?!! Now I might have to change out my current driver head. Well I guess I could use a new one!! That head is absolutely beautiful. You got give us more; specs, availablity, etc.
January 23, 200817 yr comment_146943 Agreed, that was a surprise! For both this driver and the bag, we're seeing a bit of black and gold, not something I would have custom ordered, but it looks pretty nice. Of course, we will all be looking forward to a review!
January 23, 200817 yr comment_146944 beautiful as always! im getting one of these when they are available
January 23, 200817 yr comment_146947 Never really liked the EMB or other manufactueres square drivers However the traditional shaped Epon's are simply terrific Edited January 23, 200817 yr by Jack lives here
January 23, 200817 yr comment_146950 Wow....is Epon the TaylorMade of Japan? They seem to come out with a couple of new drivers every year...... I do like the looks of them, however.

Actually the EMB is their first new driver in nearly two years as the Technity and Forged 460 are technically the same just cosmetically different. They found a way to actually increase the spring effect (usga conforming of course) with a thicker stonger face than the 460. There's a wider perimeter on the AF-101 and increased MOI on toe and heel hits. Horizontal MOI: 460: 4200 AF-101: 4300 Vertical MOI: 460: 2592 AF-101: 2922 (for comparison's sake the forgiving high MOI JPX E500 is 2680) The AF-101 standard head weight is also two grams heavier than the 460 at 199g which will help achieve higher swingweights.

Cool.....thanks.....I'm by no means a JDM expert (or even novice)....it just seems there's always a new Epon offering. I'd love to try one, just a little hesitant to drop the coin not knowing how they will perform for me.....
January 23, 200817 yr comment_146960 I don't have an Epon driver yet, but by judging by their irons, I took all my irons out to Flea Bay. Nothing compares to solidly hit ball against the face of a Type J iron head. The softest, smoothest feeling ever. I needed to keep my emotions under control, once a hit those irons for the first time, since the wife was playing with me. I understand their are expensive, but if you can afford them, the are very hard to beat.
January 25, 200817 yr comment_146983 Now that's something to get excited about. I can't stand square headed drivers, looks too much like sticking a shaft in a square fruit cake and sound like the explosions inside my head after drinking all night. But this beauty is worth tipping the hat and holding the door open for, heck I might even put my coat over the puddle. I like
January 26, 200817 yr comment_146985 I like it actually I would like to see the crown and face, but this looks real good im intereted.
