July 2, 201014 yr comment_161058 There is no guarantee that the new spoon will be better than the old one. There is no official info out yet on any new Egg spoon or FW. We can only speculate that one will be out in the future since the current Egg has been around a while. When I spoke to PRGR last week, demand for the current EGG's are still through the roof and stock is very low.

July 5, 201014 yr comment_161075 PRGR officially made the announcement yesterday http://www.golftoimpress.com/2010/07/new-p...d-forged-irons/ But as I said, there is no guaranteeing that a newer model will out perform the previous model especially in the case of the EGG Spoon where they have completely changed the materials which is what made the first generation Spoon the champion that it is.

September 10, 201014 yr comment_161746 speaking of the 2009 model - iliked my 15 so much I got from tsg a month ago, I just bought the 22 from the bay, and ordered the 18. little concerned on the authenticity of the 22 9 wood as I just bought it used and it does not have "fw" after the prgr03 on the sole that I can see in the pics. all other pics I have seen have the "fw". any input? I can post pics later if needed. I did reshaft the 3 wood just now with a diamana stiff 63 as I felt the stock m43 was very whippy as confirmed by my frequency machine.

A buddy of mines purchased one of these (I was 100% against this purchase especially after reading the other posts on counterfeits). And guess what happend?? Only the 2nd or 3rd round of use, the face cracked ever so slightly, but it really affected his play and never was the same. Also, when i look at it up close the top of face area where the face and finish connects, it is starting to somewhat "lift" or "peel". I feel bad for the guy, but gave him a real big TOLD YOU SO! lol. Lucky for him, it wasn't a big investment.
September 12, 201014 yr comment_161776 Finally found one of these on the used rack at the local Golf5. After reading all of the stuff about them here, I had to take it in the cage and try it out. All I can say is "Holy shallow face Batman!" I thought my old V-Steels were shallow, but this thing is crazy shallow. I couldn't even get a good strike on the ball. I finally just gave it back to the salesman. I'll stick with my SQ2 fairway. If anybody is looking for one (15 degree in stiff), let me know. It was 22000 Y ($265). Might could work something out.
September 12, 201014 yr comment_161778 The first gen spoon is hardly considered shallow. There are many much shallower than the Spoon. If you've followed the forum you'll see it has been long regarded one of the best if not the best fairway woods of the last 2 years. (^_^)

Lucky for him, it wasn't a big investment. yup the same seller is at it again, bid for items before. thank god i lost. if its too good to be true then it most likely is. also prgr doesnt usually sell components so a head being sold for brand new is always suspect especially frm a dealer in HK who specializes in headcovers:)

September 13, 201014 yr comment_161783 Jerry the woods 3 and 5 do not have fw as they are not considered fairways but rather spoons I think. perhaps that is what you were seeing.? forgive my ignorance as I am only becoming a fan of jdm in the last few months. never knew of jdm until then.
September 13, 201014 yr comment_161788 That's correct the 13 15 17 have no FW on them as they are Spoon models. The 5 7 9 however all have FW. That egg on ebay looks good but I doubt its real as it has to have the fw and why is it shafted with an aldila and being sold as new. No manufacturer uses that shaft in Japan unfortunately.
September 14, 201014 yr comment_161795 received the egg. couple things guys: it was not sold as new just to clear that up. it was supposdly built by jj's golf shop. comparing it to my spoon from tsg, I have to say this thing if a fake is absolutely perfectly replicated minus the fw it should have as has been said here. the line up egg, all colors, material ( composite top), hosel, paintfill, paintbreak, are all perfect matches to my legit spoon( head color is a little maroonish metal flakish looking though). I WONDER - are we all sure that maybe the 9 does not have "fw" simply because of the smaller head there is no room for it before the "9"????? if not, oh well lesson learned.

September 15, 201014 yr comment_161836 Nope I checked and the 9w has the fw on it as well. The fw's are gone from the pro shop as they are discontinued and the new one is about to launch with 5 7 9 woods. For a utility, there are so many to choose from!

For a utility, there are so many to choose from! 22*....... i absolutely HATE to say this , i cant bel the words are coming from me, but the TM burner .., (oh that hurts).........., 22* uts is the ONLY club in my bag that hasnt changed in 18 months. that said i hit my buds epon 22* 901 and absolutely loved it. theres on sitting in my shop glaring at me every day. but i just cant seem to reprelace the TM .
