+TourSpecGolfer
Last week we teased our readers with a lone image of the new Saqra precision one piece forged INB-1150 Muscle Back Irons. As promised here is the skinny on these new sweet sticks. Produced by Niimi Kiyonari who I have known for many years as the international agent of Epon Golf, Niimi-san has created his own line of golf clubs named "Saqra" I'm not sure what this name means but we will find out soon and report back. The product is Japan Forged in Himeji of S25C steel with the curve in the muscle back coming way via CNC milling. It's a very attractive iron in person. It's got 2010 conforming V Grooves and is available 3-PW with two shaft options, the Shimada K's AC-10 and a Saqra IS83 counter weighted graphite shaft. It's was designed as a low center of gravity muscle back and does have some Japanese design aspects that some may or may not appreciate. For example the top line and sole is a little bit thicker than someone accustomed to muscle back irons may be used to. It also has more offset in the shorter irons than in the longer irons by appearance. There is another model that I will highlight by the end of the week, It's a cavity back with CNC milling called the Saqra INB-2018 Forged so stay tuned for that. I'm still awaiting information on custom options, face progression numbers, and combo set availability. MSRP on the INS-1150 is 85.00 per head only - 130.00 with Shimada Steel - 155.00 with IS83 Graphite
jamnguy1
when can we expect to see these in the proshop?
Duffer19
Would it be the lighting but seem like there is a hint of gold tint to the finish?
+TourSpecGolfer
when can we expect to see these in the proshop? They will be in the TSG ProShop in a few days. Would it be the lighting but seem like there is a hint of gold tint to the finish? I'm pretty sure thats the morning light. I've got a question has anyone hit irons with reverse offset? (more offset in the PW than the 3 iron) Many say they don't care for it and I'm in the same boat but the results for me were less pulls with the shorter clubs. I think thats because I come a little over the top.
bruinduke
Great looking irons. The layered muscle back and sole are slightly reminiscent of the milled Gauge Design neo muscle backs. Very much looking forward to reviews of the saqra iron

Spoon
Saqra INB-2018 Forged Cavity Backs. Please be aware that there is reverse face progression in both the MB & CB. now these are my kind of lofts. C, im really curious to see how these play. once you do get a chance id like to know your personal thoughts on playability, feel etc etc compared to say the epon af302/502s. thanks
EPONfreak
Hey Chris, I did see pics/ impressions of these some time ago and loved the look of them then. The prior version pics I saw had a flower on them which we suggested to remove - blade players are aggressive and don't want girly flowers on their clubs right! :) what is the purpose of reverse off-set? is it possible to get them from Epon(?) with reduced off-set? combo set availability? Then you and I are in the same boat, Zero offset vs minimal offset I take minimal any day of the week. little offset for me actually makes the club more forgiving. I just wanted to throw it out there so people know what to expect. I will soon post pics of each of the irons from above to give you guys a better idea. It's not crazy just present. +TourSpecGolfer
Any spec on the graphite shaft? It's a hair over a Japanese SR and you can order it up to Stiff flex via 0.5" tipping custom order.
