Refresh my memory...what is the point of these releases again? Lower price points for foreign markets?

Agh so that's the New Driver , sorry old Driver??

Just what is that Driver?

On a different not I hope they don't re release the 502's!!

I'm not sure if these re-releases does Epon;s premium image any good. Also, are they running out of ideas?

Rather like the look of the driver (is that the 101 or 102?). Big fan of the 701, but really don't like the paint fill on the 751s.

Out of interest how are the 551s selling?

This isn't really exciting...

Not exactly in line with Epons "cutting edge" reputation.

VERY disappointed.

Maybe Epon iron have reached the edge of the Design Envelope?

Yea what a bummer, With Mr Kobayashi now at S-Yard I'm expecting them to pick up where Epon has left off.

That's the sad part I don't see the prices all that much lower. I think without Mr. Kobayashi Epon will suffer and S-Yard will be reborne with a a ton of Endo made athlete models.

Was thinking the same thing. Hopefully the forging side will continue to evolve with new techniques and technologies, even if the design torch follows to S-Yard.

Very much looking forward to finalizing the purchase of the .388 with Gocchin since Tae won't buy an extra to sell me cheaply....

Epon has the name and clout to pull in extraordinary club designers so I'm not worried there. I think they're throwing these rereleases out much in the same way bands throw out remix albums to buy some time and stay in the public eye until they've got actual new material to release.

At least I hope.

So is this their attempt to go big overseas?

I feel they could have at least used the AF103 mold for this. Why the 101?

I was really hoping to see a new and improved successor to the AF302 ..... perhaps not going to happen.

Frankly, this is sad to see from such a premium company.

Looks like Honma gear with all that gold. Not my cup of tea

It's a sad day when the grandest of JDM, introduces new clubs that are no more than facsimiles of very old models.

I honestly can't figure out what in the world they're thinking.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and $$$$$$$$$$$$$

You watch... Next month, Epon will hit us with something Left Field and totally different...

Here's hoping!!

i just realized that these RF x51s are just repainted, rebranded AF x01s. no wonder why everyone is kinda disappointed. and now so am i.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and $$$$$$$$$$$$$

Curious how rebadging old designs is going to translate to big revenue

They have released some pretty special stuff too recently of course, the non conforming 470 driver for example, and the Personals of course, as well as the AF103. Maybe they are throwing this stuff out there while regrouping and getting a new designer? And since prices are still high I can't see how these will translate into higher sales internationally?

Honma going in one direction, Epon in another. Hate it when you're hoping for something new and radical and you get this??
