Posted January 31, 201411 yr comment_220218 These two are at it again.... Kamui Pro vs Kamui Works. Nitro injection vs Air injection.
January 31, 201411 yr comment_220233 i like the look of that new works. +1. I like that little golden accent. The weight seems to be replaceable with some tool.
February 2, 201411 yr Author comment_220311 For me the Air beats the Nitro not necessarily in looks but overwhelmingly in options (Kamui Pro is not made to specs) Like all Kamui Works drivers the KM200 Air is made from scratch to customer real specs and finished by hand. 7-13* loft 5* to 62* lie 2* open to 2* closed Conforming or Non conforming Face Choice of crown color, now including white Choice of head bias, ie neutral, draw or fade Choice of the amount of air pressure injected (based on swing speed)
February 2, 201411 yr comment_220313 Im happy with the nitro but since i love everything new, im sure ill try to get the kamui works as well....The Nitro may not fit everybody but it seems to work well for my swing. My only gripe is why put weight ports in the rear if you cannot change the weights ?
February 2, 201411 yr comment_220318 Very interesting how the combination of non-conform and air pressure injected will perform.
February 25, 201410 yr Author comment_221693 Very forgiving.... May be the most forgivng Kamui Works yet. I still need to post more detailed pics, the crown is very interesting as it is indented. Will try and post pics and feedback in the next few days as time starts freeing up for me. (^_^)

February 25, 201410 yr comment_221708 I have like zero experience with Kamui drivers, pro or works. Spoon, T, or anyone else - can you comment on feel, compared to more popular woods, like epon or yamaha?

I've tried a conforming Kamui Works and a non-conforming Kamui Works and can compare to a Yamaha V201/jBEAM 435r/Crazy 435. In descending order; Feel, as in softest off the face, both Kamui's equal, V201/Crazy equal, and jBEAM last. These are all very close in feel, even the jBEAM ISN't what I would call harsh. Sound, as in loudest to quietest, jBEAM, Crazy, V201, both Kamui's equal. Ball-flight, as in highest to lowest, jBEAM, non Kamui, con Kamui, V201, Crazy. Again these are all very close, with lofts ranging from 2 x 10, 9.75, 9.5 and 9. Distance, as in longest to shortest, con Kamui, V201, Crazy, jBEAM, non Kamui. This has the biggest gap. The head and shaft for me made a perfect match for distance in the conforming Kamui which I'm a good 20yds off with my Yamaha. Admittedly it was summer when I hit that Kamui and I've only had the Yamaha this past month. I would love to have a custom built Kamui Air. Maybe later this year

The Kamui Works Ray is the softest, best feeling driver I've used to date. The forged face yeilds a sound that is more of a smash compared to the loud metalic sound of my Jbeam/Crazy drivers and it sounds a little softer than my Ryoma V-Spec. It's quite forgiving and seems a bit more workable than the Ryoma or Crazy. It also sets up more nuetral than any other driver I've tried. To this day I cannot figure out why the Kamui Works drivers don't have a larger following here. I've seen a few go unnoticed in the BST section and even offered mine for a good price with little interest (I can't play non-conforming now that I'm keeping a handicap).
February 26, 201410 yr Author comment_221727 The key is the Kamui Works is custom built for each customer. So you get that face angle you want, the lie angle you want, the proper weight, you can even control the bias. As others have noted here, very soft face. very underrated driver. All around performer. I have owned the Asiri, 456, Ray and now the Air.

We have had some orders for some pretty wild customized Kamui Works Air Drivers but no pics of them. I'll shoot mine but it's not custom. Guys if you have the chance go totally custom, this is the only driver I know of where it's possible.
April 8, 201410 yr comment_223604 This will be my custom build: - 9.75* loft - 59* lie - 0.5 closed face - non conforming face - draw bias - matte black head - pressure injected based on 100mph swing speed - 199g head - No paint fill on head Gonna put a seven dreamers haute design in it.
April 8, 201410 yr comment_223613 Can have a name stamped on the head for the Kamui Works?? (like the Yoro Craft mizuno) Can the paint be in matted navy blue??
April 9, 201410 yr comment_223617 Also had the ray and loved it, it is the softest feeling driver I have played. Defo going to have a custom air non con Any idea on pricing guys..! Am guessing a kick in the ass from $800 all things being equal.

April 11, 201410 yr comment_223733 Found out today they don't offer matte black for the crown, will go with metallic black. The great news was that they do offer black IP sole & face. So it looks like it's Vader's helmet again.
