nobmontana
Long time rider here but I don't ride now. Too busy golfing.:) I just came across this new Kawasaki Ninja H2R motorcycle. This is insane. 300hp supercharged motorcycle..... closed circuit only model for $50,000 Ooooooh so tempting!! midlife crisis in me is really creeping up these days! For those who are old as I am might remember the original two stroke H2R from the 70's 750cc Two Stroke triple ... Was a monster of a bike back then! They said it was hard just to keep riding straight !! As a college kid, I used to go on Sunday morning rides to Alice's restaurant in Woodside, CA and there was a gentleman who used to ride one of these H2Rs in a White and Green Leather suit. I initially thought it was Eddie Lawson riding it! I am wondering now if that bike was even street legal....
Ian-500
Long time rider here but I don't ride now. Too busy golfing.:) I'm the same! The Ninja looks awesome. I've been out of touch with all new bike offerings of late, only noticing the odd one or two. Great find nob.
+TourSpecGolfer
that new bike is dangerous! but yes I've been following it. We have a member here who has a one of a kind 1199 ducatti R modded by moto rapido which is extremely rare and special.
nobmontana
Very nice!! Used to have a Ducati 851 and Bimota DB2 back in Japan where I rode to the Hakone mountains every weekend! I still have my Dainese leather suit, but I have outgrown it a long time ago and will require some major body overhaul to fit in ..... :( I miss riding! needmoregolf
really miss my multistrada 1200 :( Picking up a nice commuter tomorrow morning - TMax 530 ABS - back on wheels ! Jealously is so unbecoming of me, but I have to admit, I would LOVE to be back on 2 wheels! You're a lucky man, Tom ;)Have had a few but my last one was true to my heart with that Vtwin grumble, Ducati Monster 750...damn I miss that bike! thanks for starting this thread, Nob, definitely brings back some great memories, which includes those classic weekend rides up hwy 9, down Skyline to Alice's, then down the backside of hwy 84 for a nice coastal hwy 1 cruise! Spoon
i had a ducatti 999 which i sold less than a week after I've owned it. i made some money as well, it had way too much power for my needs. was going to get an aprilia monster and loved the looks so much but liked the Ducati one as well , was going to demo the ducati but some other guy demod it and got into an accident from user error and passed away. never got the bikes and will never get into it again. not in manila never. I don't blame you C, I wouldn't drive a car in Manila, much less a cage-less bike, drivers and traffic is crazy there!! Next time you come to Cali, just rent one and cruise the NorCal roads which are perfect for motorcycling ;)
