Posted February 2, 201510 yr good grief,. im afan of prgr . big fan, got evey wedge they hade made from the lst 7-8 years. but these beauties i got yesterday are something else. hoping i can hit them soon. they literally jumped off the page at me i think they are gonna spin like washington.
February 2, 201510 yr Interesting.. how would u compare to '13 tour model which is good for me? Edited February 2, 201510 yr by cuistot
February 2, 201510 yr Author totally diffetn beat altogether. thee are thin sole super heve dense biild very small. looks like u can do anything with them on the ground migh not be the best for geting really cute with bec they are prettyt thick top line but for 'generic wedge shots ,they look terific. not hit them yet. time will come for that
February 2, 201510 yr I held these in my hand recently and almost "impulse" bought them on the spot. They just sat so nicely on the little carpet next to the club rack, ha ha
February 2, 201510 yr KBS hi rev, no need for xtra expense of nippon proto wedges. Also there is a new kbs hi rev and my miura K or Y grind felt awesome with that wedge shaft.
February 3, 201510 yr These players wedges? The cavity looks way too busy for my taste. Good thing you have to look at that side while hitting a shot. That face milling though. Just crazy. Looks like spin monsters.
February 3, 201510 yr The s yard bolds had face milling like that but they wore quickly at least on my 56 which I use the most.
February 3, 201510 yr They are actually part of the Nabla RS iron set, these wedges are made to match up with the irons, hence they only come in 51 and 57 degrees to flow with the 45 degree pitching wedge of the RS irons. That's why you won't find them among the wedge offerings, but you must rather click on the Nabla Rs irons to even see these wedges. Edited February 3, 201510 yr by Vegaman
February 3, 201510 yr Author wow.. had no idea about that. loks like im a lukcy fella. not sure when ill get to hit them with my billions of wedges already but im sure i can pluck a set of lovely PRGRs irons out for the day and have some fun they shud have put these out as wedges alone! That's exactly what I thought. They do sell them as individual wedges in some shops in Japan though. But they really should let them take their place in the regular wedge line up
February 4, 201510 yr Author on looks alone for sure, apart for mteh over done lettering. PRGR have gone a very differnt route this year, their marketing is very .....weird......... and thier new stuff is all paint and big lettering ,a far cry from their previous simplistic looking gear. might get the black paint and acetone out on these and get rid of all that writing!
February 4, 201510 yr Author heres how its gonna look real soon ahhh now THATS better......., Edited February 4, 201510 yr by supo67

February 5, 201510 yr werry stealthy, wish Yamaha still made the Black - extra mild wedges. I found a used, rusty A wedge on ebay, I can only imagine how fine they looked new...someday I'll get it refinished.

February 5, 201510 yr Author i took some black paint to these this morning blacked out the rs . . the forged.. the ID on one and the nabla on the other.. note to prgr. LESS IS MORE..!!!! Edited February 5, 201510 yr by supo67
February 5, 201510 yr The point of having there name and model all over the club is to promote the item/sales. I know we like a cleaner look, but this game is word of mouth and stuff sticking out
February 5, 201510 yr The point of having there name and model all over the club is to promote the item/sales. I know we like a cleaner look, but this game is word of mouth and stuff sticking out Solid point. But golf club manufacturers need to decide whether to do this with class, or to market their stuff garishly. In an industry where the aesthetics of the product very much directly correlates to its sales, they should think long and hard about how it looks.
February 6, 201510 yr Author i had a good look again this morning and without doube the less nonsense on them wud be immeasurably better if they came out cleaner. agree with both points above tho. thier olld models are loads cleaner and look loads better. cant wait to hit these thngs in the spring!
