nobmontana
Not sure which set I should be calling "gamer" for this season .. But I got two full bags set up with slightly different taste. I'll play both for the time being but may consolidate into one bag middle of the season. nobmontana
Thanks Craig! Hoping not to tinker too much but I've said that every single year! So who knows what I'll have in the bag next week....or even tomorrow! LOL
akapur
Nob Both great bags. Must be hard to decide which bag to use on a day to day basis.
nobmontana
Thanks Ash! Yes, very hard to decide which bag of clubs to use. Today I had some extra time on the range with the P-Tune driver and realized how great a control driver it is. In addition, I am finding out the P-tune fairway paired with the Crazy FW50 Sigma is a serious distance monster. Not entirely sure if its the head or shaft.... but the thing goes! I am waiting for the copper to patina so I can actually take them out on sunny days. still a bit too much glare under the sun!!
supo
nobu san , alisili toursatge xwedge, waccine ,stingers, kitada. love to play a round with you one day. wed have to make sure we took the correct bags home!
nobmontana
I hear you Stu-san!! :) My shafts are probably a bit flexier than what you are used to but you could probably play them as they are all on the heavier side. Honestly I've picked up a lot of my JDM knowledge thru your write ups. Thus the similar set ups. I just paired the Stinger with the 153 head and appreciating once again what a great shaft it is. Compared to the Waccine GR77 I had in it before, I think I gained 10 to 15 yards with the Stinger. and the lively elastic feel is just so unique in a good way! Waccine 77 is still a great control shaft for me. Just not as long like the stinger.

nobmontana
The foaming of the head got the P-Tune to weigh about 206g ... the 45.75" length with the AAA was a bit much from a swing weight perspective. I can get a lighter weight screw and get the weight down to 201g ... but I actually am waiting for a release of another head supposedly coming out later this month. I was thinking of saving the AAA for that. A shaft this good needs to be paired with a premium head, right?! ( just trying to justify my next purchase ...!! :) ) It's not the new Epon Zero Kai BTW... The P-Tune in its current weight seems to be a great match with the Waccine GR77 so I'm gonna keep this as is for now.

nobmontana
Just on a side note, I use Sun Mountain stand bags. Nothing spectacular. but for us Montanans, it's a local company! Not many people know they are a Montana based company. I am sure they now make these bags mostly overseas nowadays. I would say 80% of golfers here in Bozeman use Sun Mountain bags and push carts. nobmontana
Its been washed off.:-) The sulfate in the soap created a copper sulfate film. I think its how Epon does their chocolate color. They probably use straight sulfur though...

nobmontana
Super soft and super spinny.... I thought maybe they had square grooves at first but apparently not. Paired with the WV , ProV1 balls check and stop like crazy. Almost too much.

nobmontana
NICE BAG Nob! nice to know someone else games the HT! lovely no brainer 3w I had a first gen PRGR Egg head in this Al'Islei shaft before and I thought that was super long and easy. The HT matches the performance and forgiveness without that "LOoooUD SOooooUND" This fairway is as friendly as it gets. Just judging from the shape.... perhaps the Jbeam Glorious may be similar but hotter? not sure.
nobmontana
awesome. did you get the grooves tuned as well during the refinish? Nope, I bought the wedges as new old stock. never used. stock grooves.
