March 31, 20168 yr comment_255342 The ZY-7 looks more shallow than the ZY-11. Are these really coming to retail soon? (excited)
March 31, 20168 yr comment_255344 I am most excited about a JBeam head with "improved acoustics." Sound at impact has always been a deal-breaker for me with JBeam heads of the past. With that cavity construction, there is less space inside the head where sound can resonate, so I can believe how the sound could be drastically different from previous models.
March 31, 20168 yr comment_255346 Face looks similar to the ZY11 Face looks very similar to my Bridgestone. Lol.
April 1, 20168 yr Author comment_255381 Yes may is the official announcment and june is the release and what you see in these photos are not final.
April 1, 20168 yr Author comment_255385 Same release date for the UTs ? yes give or take a couple weeks.
April 14, 20168 yr comment_255782 Looks like demo units are starting make it to the shops!! Great looking head at address!! http://ameblo.jp/reflexgolf/entry-12149192988.html?frm_src=thumb_module Hard to tell what the actual sound will be, but it sounds pretty muted "thud" from the video. I need to visit that shop on my next trip to Japan. When I was into large OEM clubs I used to regularly drive past it to the GOLF5 shop down the road....
April 14, 20168 yr Author comment_255810 was in the Nagoya area. The shop is in Kasugai city on a kokudou. I've been to Reflex, you don't want to go it's a super tiny shop with almost nothing in it. In about 5 minutes your scratching your head as to why you visited.
April 15, 20168 yr comment_255826 I am thinking I want to try this with my 7D shaft. when do the early bird pre-ordering start on these heads?

Sounds like most custom club fitter shops in Japan then! For me the second hand shops that specialize in boutique brands are the real Aladdin's Caves... Should be playing at Kasugai Country in a month so may pop in on my way home. Edited April 15, 20168 yr by Golfbaka

April 15, 20168 yr comment_255838 Another video. " Very straight flights " is what they say. https://youtu.be/NWH4mxk4yWI
April 16, 20168 yr comment_255859 Currently playing ZY-11 and it just goes straight. Bet this ZY-7 will not differ. Just curious what's the main difference between both...
April 16, 20168 yr comment_255873 Looking at the placement of the weight I suspect a more forward cg position.
April 16, 20168 yr comment_255877 And an adjustability of the CG height , I suspect added forgiveness because of the cavity structure. ( similar to Nike drivers ) I also was not a big fan of the dead wooden sound that the foamed ZY-11 produced... Hoping that the ZY-7 will be better sounding and without foam.
April 17, 20168 yr Author comment_255893 My new L01 will not be ready for another 2-3 weeks so I'm shafting it up with the YZ-Speed shaft by Jbeam and plan to give it a go on the 22nd. May is the official release, TSG has pre-ordered a bunch as already people are snapping these up.
