Great review Aston, sounds like you've got yourself a winner!

what head is mated with the 7D? and did you find yourself tuning the head (if it's an adjustable one) to better fit the shafts results as you were trying different things at the range?

I guess the cats out of the bag! 7D iron shafts will be unveiled at the golf show, I've had them for 2 days now in a special set of irons but those in Japan can go to the Shiba-Koen location and give them a whack by appt only.

They retail 100,000 yen each shaft. Fitting can be same as the Matrix/Haute but also customer requests weight/flex/characteristics.

at over $800 per shaft it will not be everyone's choice despite the awesome quality.

I can't see how it can be made better than Roddios offerings but I'm sure they will be magical.......7D would be such a dream if they would have a lifetime warranty on the shaft, perhaps a nominal fee for the cost of replacing...say $200 per shaft and the broken fragments : )

oh man I've never played graphite in my irons but this is something I may consider. How do they determine weight for steel-shaft iron players? I typically play a 128-130 gram steel shaft. I'm assuming a graphite shaft will be made lighter?

If Matrix and other brands can make 130g graphite iron shafts, I am sure 7D can make them too.

But with much higher quality!

The customer will request a weight & flex. 130g is no problem. Heavy shafts are the easiest to make it's the light shafts that take more expertise and better materials.

At their price-point, think I'll just get 1 and learn to be very versatile with a #7 iron.
