February 4, 20169 yr Author Great review Aston, sounds like you've got yourself a winner! what head is mated with the 7D? and did you find yourself tuning the head (if it's an adjustable one) to better fit the shafts results as you were trying different things at the range? It is time to get yourself fitted my friend......ill help you get rid of the one u got !!! ill be by in an hour, leave it by the mailbox
February 4, 20169 yr Interesting Bentley article. I assume it's just branding and no tech compared to PXG, etc. nice that they mentioned 7D. Iron shafts coming!?!?!?
February 4, 20169 yr Author Wow....iron shafts, how sick would that be ???? Like Roddio i10 or i11 but even smoother and tighter
February 4, 20169 yr If so, I wonder if the price point would stay similar to the matrix costs or if they start doing more volume drop in that regard for a set (though if you think about 7 shafts, it wouldn't be cheap...)
February 4, 20169 yr And damn, how am I supposed to sleep now tonight with the thought of 7D iron shafts floating floating floating...
February 4, 20169 yr that wud pretty much guarantee no one wud throw a wobbly and turf their troublesome pw into the drink when they missed a green in future!
February 4, 20169 yr Stashing moolahs away.. Hopefully I can stash enough secret moolahs (that the wife doesn't know) during 2016, and make a trip to Tokyo!!!

February 4, 20169 yr I guess the cats out of the bag! 7D iron shafts will be unveiled at the golf show, I've had them for 2 days now in a special set of irons but those in Japan can go to the Shiba-Koen location and give them a whack by appt only. They retail 100,000 yen each shaft. Fitting can be same as the Matrix/Haute but also customer requests weight/flex/characteristics.
February 5, 20169 yr at over $800 per shaft it will not be everyone's choice despite the awesome quality.
February 5, 20169 yr Author I can't see how it can be made better than Roddios offerings but I'm sure they will be magical.......7D would be such a dream if they would have a lifetime warranty on the shaft, perhaps a nominal fee for the cost of replacing...say $200 per shaft and the broken fragments : ) Edited February 5, 20169 yr by robbie
February 5, 20169 yr oh man I've never played graphite in my irons but this is something I may consider. How do they determine weight for steel-shaft iron players? I typically play a 128-130 gram steel shaft. I'm assuming a graphite shaft will be made lighter?
February 5, 20169 yr If Matrix and other brands can make 130g graphite iron shafts, I am sure 7D can make them too. But with much higher quality!
February 6, 20169 yr oh man I've never played graphite in my irons but this is something I may consider. How do they determine weight for steel-shaft iron players? I typically play a 128-130 gram steel shaft. I'm assuming a graphite shaft will be made lighter? The customer will request a weight & flex. 130g is no problem. Heavy shafts are the easiest to make it's the light shafts that take more expertise and better materials.
February 7, 20169 yr At their price-point, think I'll just get 1 and learn to be very versatile with a #7 iron.
