What driver (tour or retail) do you think goes the straightest and is the most accurate? im willing to sacrifice a few yards for some more accuracy and i would like to hear what you guys think. Im just looking for something that for when im swinging well wont miss the fairway.

wilson deep red, may not seem like a top quality driver at first, but it is extremely forgiving, accurate, and long (for me at least) I consider you give it a try

The KZG Gemini 395cc. This driver wants to go straight. I have one with a square head and this thing finds the fairways. Total confidence at the tee. Not the longest, Not the best sounding, Not the highest quality workmanship, but it works and works very well.

I have the best luck with probably 2. First out of the older ones, I would say the GBB. Then probably of the newer clubs the TM 580xd unless you want to change screws and get a R7. Good luck

The R7 tour I'm hitting right now is the most accurate and the longest I have hit.

By far the longest and easiest driver to hit is the r589XD tour issue. If you can't hit the fairway with this then you should'nt be playing golf. On the other hand...it does look like the titanic and doesnt have the greatest sound at impact. On a side note, the r7TP is a great driver that is pleasing to the eye...not a magic box but a great driver.

gbb II 415

great driver, easy to hit and since Callaway lowered the price it's a no brainer

haribo

For me it's my plano retail 983K with the stock speeder shaft. But I don't think it's a matter of driver. Shaft is definitely the deal maker or breaker here. I can use the same 983K and use different shafts and I get different ball flights.

Cleveland Launcher 460. Straight and long for me. The sweet spot seems to be as big as most drivers.

For me it is the R500 . But just like any other driver if you don't put a good swing on it then you don't get a straight shot .

Best: TList 975 LFE

Better: TList 983K

Good: TMade R580

Gemini 355 10.5!

I'd have to say my present R540XD. But like Mike said, "if you don't put a good swing on it then you don't get a straight shot."

I'm also looking forward to trying my accuracy with the R7 real soon.

Ive only found one ive been able to hit a consistant amounts of fairways with. Titleist 983e with Aldila One shaft. too bad i didnt have enough money to buy it and now cant find it.

R7 TP, without question from me.

I want to get to hit one, but no one in syracuse has one. The closest thing is the 510tp, and most places just got it in.

.......the most accurate driver I've hit was the Callaway ERC (the original). It was very, very easy to hit. That was about four or so years ago.

Aloha!

for me

1.MIZUNO MP-001 10* ALDILA NV 65 S (a definite FW finder and long)

2.TAYLORMADE R510 TP 9.5* 757 S (aim and hit, nuff said:)

3.TITLEIST 975J 757 S (accurate and Loooong)

The driver I currently have in the bag is the most accurate I have ever hit. Taylor Made Tour Issue R580 with Aldila green proto 65s 9.5°

The R7 and the Cleveland NC-X 460 are accurate and IMO the most forgiving.

Ok, Ok, I had posted the Gemini as the most accurate... That was before I really had my sweaty hands on this TP. This thing is so freaking long and accurate for me it's scaring me. I just stand there and swing as hard as I can manage without falling over. :surprize: It's a great driver and although I have always fought the desire to buy a Taylor Made driver because it always reminded me of Todd.... I'm extremely happy with it. Longer (honestly) than anything I've had and super consistent. I think it's the combination shaft and driver, but I'm not going to quabble. I'm digging it.

Since Demo'ing the R7

I will have to say the R7, tested on Saturday and Sunday and nothing changed.
