  1. Ok but 64 the model I bought and this new 64 are the same then?
  2. I have a question for all of us Epon lovers. In all honesty, how would you say Epon equipment feels and performs since that Japanese master engineer (forget his name) left the company compared to when he was with them? Same quality? Slightly less quality? Same epon feel? Different feel?
  3. So the 64 I just bought is basically the same as this 2016 model?
  4. Thanks for the info on offset. Although I can benefit from hands more in front of the face at contact the risk hooking even more often negates that. So this Egg hybrid and new fairway wood, with a very stout, low spin/launch shaft could work for a very hard and aggressive swinger like me? Any idea what the head weights are? Eggs are often way too light for me...
  5. Time for a new 3 wood and hybrid and my first driving iron. Right now I have a 12.5 degree Tourstage X-FT Type T with a Crazy Sigma 50 and a Royal Collection 505V 18* hybrid with a Quadra Fire Express Proto TX flex shaft. They're not easy enough to hit straight. I'm looking for whatever the easiest fairway wood and hybrid there is to hit dead straight, middle of the fairway. I don't need distance, just easy dead straight. What do you recommend? I'm thinking Ryoma for both or the New Eggs for both or maybe Honma... They don't have to both be the same brand either. Driving iron I'm thinking Epon 903... Also what shafts would you guys recommend for them for the ultra hard, aggressive swinger to put in these. Much appreciated!
  6. What are your thoughts on irons with shallow hosel depths and tipping the shafts to play more firm. I'm assuming a shallow hosel depth will make a shaft play softer than a longer hosel depth, no? Is tipping something that is recommended or not? It's kind of hard to gauge because I'm sure all iron hosel depths are slightly different length... Thanks!
  7. Interesting watches and photography seem to be a common theme. Definitely photography for me, watches as well, audio/video equipment, cars. We must all share a fairly similar personality trait of some kind.
  8. Just saw these in the pro shop. The specs look fantastic as do the materials. 90t carbon, TT1000G+MCT for $250. I know a lot of guys on tour like the Speeder Evolution and these look to be better. I wonder how these compare to the Reggio Formula shafts with 90T, T1100g, etc for $199. Seems like everyone is using High Modulus Carbon Fibre now. Has anyone tried these? Are these now Fujikura's best shaft offering, even better than their Onyx and Platinum spec shafts?

Cool. Cobra's new crazy looking driver announced today uses it so I was just wondering.

Is this considered a good titanium for drivers?
  11. Nice! Very space age looking. Like it a lot.
  12. To be fair I have never hit Honma, PRGR, Yururi (just wedges) Kyoei, Masada, Royal Collection, Buchi, Modart, Romaro, Masada, Maurman or Yamaha irons.
  13. Epon Onoff Mizuno Miura Tourstage Seven - Up and comer!
  14. Curious, how come everyone hates offset? Is it just a looks thing everyone doesn't like or some other reason... I always hear how much everyone hates offset...
  15. How did you like the Seven putter. I like the looks of it.
  16. Would this work for someone like me? I'm looking for a new, easy to hybrid and 3 wood.
  17. Ya man not many complaints. Its a VERY good performing iron. I was just hoping for a little more distinct uber soft feel because of the s15c but with that being said it's not like they're not soft. They're very soft. Great all around iron.
  18. Not sure about the softer carbon and higher Cor... I don't see how but who knows...
  19. You're welcome!
  20. Finally got around to shafting a couple (4 and 7 iron) of my Seven irons. 4 iron is shafted with TT Monaco Proto and 7 with Recoil Proto. Here is my preliminary review (2 range sessions and a few shots in a round). Looks: Nice. Very simple. Compact but not intimidating. Nice thin but not too thin top line. Nice setup at address. They look like a players cavity/muscle back hybrid. I wish they had the Seven logo stamped on the back as well or in place of the "SEVEN" written there now. I find them a little plain looking as is. Craftsmanship and style is well done overall but a tad boring for my taste. Feel: s15c is the reason I bought these. I'm not disappointed but I'm not wowed. They're soft. They feel very nice. They just don't seem to have a distinct or unique feel. Epon has that spongey soft distinct feel as do Onoffs. Miura has that dense soft-solid feel. Mizuno has that buttery cloud soft feel. These just feel soft, good, nice. Nothing at all wrong with the feel but nothing unique about it either. I'll update this when I shaft a 6 with a Modus 3, SPB and if possible an MCI although I think the MCI's are too big. Accuracy: Very impressed with the accuracy. Point and shoot. They're very accurate. I know shaft plays big roll but these are as consistently accurate as anything I've played if not more. Ease of use: For the size they're pretty damn easy to hit. Toe misses are penalized for sure. Not a lot of toe forgiveness. Heel forgiveness is fine. Honestly they're surprisingly easy to hit based on their size. I wouldn't recommend them to a 15hc over something bigger and more forgiving but I wouldn't tell them not to consider these either. Turf interaction seems excellent. I don't seem to hit many thick or thin shots with these compared to say the 302s... for whatever reason. Distance: This is the strangest part. These are extremely long. I don't really understand why. They're not strong lofted (I don't think), they're s15c, they're a muscle-cavilty style iron and there's nothing I notice about them that tells me they should be so long but regardless, they are damn damn long. My 2011 onoff forged irons are a 1/2" longer, they're strong lofted and more forgiving yet I was hitting the Sevens as long as these at the range yesterday. I was kind of shocked. Overall: Based on performance, these seem to be a good as anything I've played when considering distance, accuracy and ease of use based on the type of club they are. They look like 10 and below HC irons but a 15 shouldn't shy away. Performance is excellent. My only criticisms are the looks aren't going to blow you away (they're nice but not beautiful compared to several other jspec irons, the feel is soft but lacks character if that makes sense and toe misses are pretty penalized. At the end of the day If you're looking for performance in a muscle-cavity hybrid style club that almost plays like a blade you can't go wrong with these. They're excellent. They're dead accurate, surprisingly long and easy to hit. If you want unique feel, stunning looks and possibly performance to match they're may be a few other irons you'll like more.
  21. I play my irons and woods 1/2" over standard, based on this what length should my putter be? Right now I use a 34" putter. I'm 6'4" - totally average length arms for my height.
  22. Nice why are you selling? Heads only an option?
  23. Thanks guys. PRGR... interesting. I have Epon 302s, Miura Mb5003s, 2011 Onoff Forged, Seven S15c, Mizuno MP37, Tourstage 709MC. Oddly enough I think the Tourstage 709mc with MCI's are the best feeling overall. Pure bliss. Clearly too many sets and shafts and s**t so I'm looking to keep one of these sets and possibly buy one more set that will be my true gamer for low scoring, taking it more serious, golf. And I agree the 2011 Onoff's are maybe just a little too big/fat.
