Good job stew! For blade lovers this is porn!
-
Yup it's a 3i equivalent although will play longer than one. Stew u gotbtwo 21s??? Where was this when I was looking for one ..
-
Slice, push or both?
-
I guess better players prefer open face since they would be drawing the ball, by having it open it doesnt draw too much to the verge of becoming a hook. also you can work the ball more. for me though my bad shot is a hook so by going open i can prevent that to some degree.
-
I lovethe machine shafts just a little boring for me. I like the qt but it has way too much spin for of the tee Use for me. Il check the Kai li out
-
thanks! funny thing is i actually play softer shafts in my 3w than my driver. so the monster p9003x is out of the question, would be game over off the tee but a little hard to muscle from the fairway. yeah i dont like the FM series. that kaili is interesting might want to check it out. i love the stinger just feels wrong in a wood.
-
chaps using a yonex 15* ezone with a ngs machline 7080s. prefer this over any other shaft from GD i have tried including the DI/DJ id love a stinger in it but what a waste. ive considered F7M2 but dont like the crisp feel of the oziks fm series thinking Fubuki alpha ax. im a cheapskate with wood shafts so quadra, crazy are out of the question. fwiw current shaft is perfect, nice friendly and long. just getting that itch

anyone try getting the low lofted gekkus like 41* ?
-
WOW! yeah i only use the 50 for full shots as well. interesting and a testament to the yururis. they sell em in 46 and 48 so you can even replace your pw or 9 iron with it:)
-
they are the ultimate in my 302s. they are a good combo. well i get a nice mid launch i like the pure carry they give super super low spin as well. reminds me of the ora prototypes. Do you ever get a slight draw and then as it drops it fades? is that even possible? Lol well it depends on my swing but im a high ball hitter but welcome the added carry and low spin. before the modus i was changing shafts 6x a month. yes 6x
-
yeah components are cheaper since there is no assembly. Jeff, how do the Yururis rate against your Sdj wedge in the same loft?
-
these are basically the shimada lite. i game it on my 56degree. they are very nice in punchy and have a higher launch than the heavier 120. stew is spot on no way id game these in my gap as its spray galore if you go at it with full throttle swings. its a more finesse shot kinda shaft. delighful for higher lofted wedges. go for it bro
-
Look for tip stiff soft butt shaft. The modus is tip stiff yet butt soft Which makes it one of the best feeling shafts. The diamana whiteboard, ahina come to mind. They have that powerful elastic kick to it. Been gaming the modus for over a year and am all praises!

What will the demo be shafted with?

Interesting read Christian! I never rally thought about it. I actually Like the look of the wedges and some more than others to be frank. I am actually the opposite I like the size of the wedges I play. Nice Face with lots of room to frame the ball and just that added surface area To inspire confidence. For me I like a very compact wedge yet have a tall face. The RC protos And maru wedges are like this. But you are on to something, about a year Ago I bought a epon af tour pw which is 48* and bent it to 50 to serve as my Gap. Some PGA pros have two pitching wedges one bent to a higher loft to serve As the gap, I forget who it was but he was a top 5 player. Others though on theopposite camp hate their bulbous pwedges and have swapped em All together with a 48wedge. You will notice the trend with wedges being offered in 46 and 48deg. Wasn't the case several years ago. -
attention pls shoppers.. are these the real deal ?

Need recommendation for head and shaft combo!!!
Spoon replied to indharbor's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I highly recommend the fire express 50r my dad uses it and he's very long with it. He's turning 66 this year He has also changed his driver to a higher lofted driver 12deg from a 10.5 and has gained some distance With the added carry. -
Why? I know your are trying to re experience The 1iron club bu today's forgings are so specialized There is no need to. Clubs are also designed for a purpose Bending them to impossible secs will ruin the design and intended Purpose.
-
Pete what you replacing these with?
-
Ah one of my biggest regrets was selling my RC db protos. Wat was I thinking??? ZWan I hope your reading this:)

Type J was what they called them in japan. When epon went global they renamed them af 301 Same with the type S, renamed af501 so on and so forth Type Js are classics, more workable than the 302s! A true Players cb!

For driver there are so many ryoma etc etc But if you liked the emb you will like the ems. Square , stealthy and more forgiving than the Pope! They fixed the tin can sound of the emb. I have one for sale cheap! For woods there many, I liked the egg but did not like the off the tee Performance, I actually like the ryoma , was so fine that my dad snagged it from Me.. Currently using yonex ezone 15 and couldn't be happier. Monster of the tee And price wise can't be beat. Hybrid, if you like hybrid hybrids RC tRC for driving irons srixon zut. I'm using the srix zut And its my go to club on very tight holes. I highly recommend it. Irons, many. Yonex ezones are good but epon may release some new blades as the aftours Are almost 3-4 years old. I'm sure other blade users can chime in. You've come back at such a good time. Jdm has never been this ood.
