the modus 3 in the 302s are awesome. feel is superb and i cant imagine anything softer. i think nspros and epons are butter especially in the 302s. they feel better in the 302s than in the yonex ryo nanos for sure. i placed the program 130 in the 302 3i and man was it super boardy. totally dead sensation i know the shaft was stout but did it feel awful. i can already imagine how my suited flex 6.0 would feel, muted in a neg way. i have no experience with the onoff but you cant go wrong with a soft japanese forging and a very smooth powerful kicking nspro!

i ordered it that way. its an upcharge that will take 2-3 weeks. worth the wait.

if they were in regular chrome without the crazy decal would you be able to tel them apart in terms of feel compared to say nspro, shimada and kbs tour?

wow hit the 3i today, was absolutely the stiffest thing ive ever felt in my life. much much stiffer than any steel shaft i have tried. stiffer than nspro proto x PX 6.0 etc etc. off to the Fs section what a shame

shafted my 3iron head with the 3iron ozik. man shafts are super good looking. not so distracting once installed. the writings and matrix wordings are virtually invisible under the grip they feel extremely robust and feel heavier than steel. 4-pw install is on hold for now

modus is good, i am gaming them. they are absolutely not crap. the shimada pro series is sort of the DG of japanese shafts. they are smooth and lower launching than nspros. ive tried the c-tapers, they are a improvement over the previous kbstours. honestly i dont know what the fuss is about. id take the sp blues anyday.

ive tried them all with the exception of the dgx-7 i wont comment on the above as the observations are all pretty spot on. dont get me wrong i think your doing a good thing thinning down the herd but i think your over analyzing. you want a shaft to end all shafts?? go get yourself a set of nippon prototypes if you can find them. i kid you not, they are superior to anything i have tried.

46 is correct. my 302s are 46 and my type Js were also 46. the type j was the rebadged Technicity pro-I. lofts are identical to the 301.

arent those the same as the epon type J/301?

is your ozik graphite profile the same as mine? if they are im in trouble:)

oh thanks for that info. i did not know that. thought they were exactly the same except for the hand grinding.

haha, let me have a whack with them first. will test out the 3i on my 302 head.

how would these compare in stiffness to DGS300 or even nippon modus 3 stiff? these are about the flex i am looking for. weight not an issue. i am actually very very happy with my dg spinners in my 52/58 combo. not touching those. @ stew whats up? gary mentioned that these graphites would destroy the nippon steels in feel and performance, he swears by the ozik program 130 shafts. dont know where to put these in as theres nothing wrong w the modus3s

the shafts are so exotic looking. the individual shafts feel heavier than my modus shafts. they feel heavier than steel. debating if i will shaft these sick pups!

version 1 and version 1 proto are exactly the same. except the protos were limited and hand were handground by carl while the version 1 were the production models of the proto all made by machine. so if your not into proto stuff but performance etc etc they are identical.

they certainly are , they are shafted with graphite machline 501r

depends on your launch angle, if yours is lower then teeing up will help , at least that is what i gathered from experimenting. i too find that teeing it up higher although not( half the ball above the crown) maybe slighly 1/4 above the crown yields the best drives for me.

Epon technicity 07 wedges were the spinniest epons for me kyoei raw and kenmochi were even spinnier and would be at par with the chikara version 1 protos but the spinniest for me ever were the shinagawa raw protos. think those were kyoei heads as well that were re ground. havent tried sky dream jump and others mentioned though
