    .

Cool! I used to play the standard version of these. Probably played my best golf ever with them in hand.
  3. Looking for Shimada K's Tour 115 stiff or Oban CT-115 or CT-125 stiff.
  4. Has anyone hit these irons? I think they look so good. Like the best I’ve ever seen. How do they feel/play? The sharp toe is really to my liking. Any reviews?
  5. Fun project Nobs! Looks like a really fub set to play too.
  6. I’m guessing your swing speed is a lot higher than mine. With a driver I’m just below 100 mph these days. Down from 112 before shoulder surgeries. I hit Rifle 7.0 in college, then 6.5. Now I’ve been fitted for LZ 6.5 but I will not go that way I think. But the C and $ requires much higher speed and power I think. Or else they feel completely dead.
  7. Funny with shafts how they measure and how they play. The Crazy Target Tour 120x measured really stiff. Stiffer than a Dynamic Gold X100. However, played softer than my Modus 120S - and we have seen where they sit on the graph. The two worst feeling shafts I have ever hit are the C-Taper S and even worse the $-Taper S. Then I quite like the KBS Tour 125. Really difficult to get my head around it.
  8. Ok, so for my golf related goals: Swing - I need to stop finishing my backswing with arms and wrists. I have completely lost my hip and shoulder turn. Needs work. Even in the gym I fear.. Irons - have always been my strenght. Not last season though. Aweful. I loved the look and feel of the Seven CB’s but the Crazy shafts were whippy and I could not get any confidence. Drew everything more than I wanted and hit them higher than anything before. Good height though according to the teacher I went to (teaches Thomas Björn, Alex Norén and a few other good golfers and then some hacks like me). Have to get used to that. Now this year I have two sets of Epon P3. Have not chosen shafts for any of them but I’m thinking Monaco for one and Modus 115 for the other. Hopefully I will get my confidence back but then equipment is only one part of it. Driver - need to add distance. Direction is there. Will come if I manage to get more hip and shoulder turn. Wedges - what I’m best with at the moment but would still like to improve distance control. Chipping - after having had 4-5 seasons with tops, chunks, double hits (thank god it does not cost penalty shots anymore) and long left, I got some advice last season. My right hand remains open, flat, only as support to the left. I chip so much better now. About like a 25 capper. I’d like to come closer to my actual 3 in chipping too. Putting - last season was ugly. Set-up is off. Open with feet and hips, closed with shoulders. Miss 80 % to the right and the other 20 % are pulls. So, I’m with you Stew. Everybody needs help and it all starts with the set-up. Bunker play - has been off for a couple of years. Used to be great out of them but only average now. Need to practice. That too.
  9. Have a mate who plays there a bit. Let’s see what we can do this summer. Would love to go.
  10. I have a tiny house and thus small speakers. The Micro BE.
  11. Sound too is subjective. Right? I used to lean towards the lovely warm sound from my Jadis JA-80’s, JD-1 and Sonus Faber Guarneri speakers. I used to run it all with Purist Audio. I changed and today I favor a slightly more analytical approach, but not without some warmth. PS Audio DAC, GoldNote amplifier, Focal Utopia speakers and a mix of Nordost and Purist cables. I can’t quite justify the price of Ansuz cables, but I have borrowed some and they are phenomenal. Things are worth different things to different folks.
  12. I’d keep them if I were you and get another really good 4-iron. They are beutiful and if you like them, that would be the way I’d go. Have you tried to buy just a 4-iron from Miura? I have a Yamaha tourmodel 2009 4-iron sitting idle.
  13. Sure. Very close but perhaps not quite there? Then you have Modart, Seven, Benock all taking it even further. The last millimeters are really, really expensive. Definitely not worth it to many.
  14. I guess that whether or not the price is too high is subjective in many cases and some of us could easily justify the price of Epon vs household brand’s products by looks, exclusivity and perception. But objectively - I think the prices can be justified too. Expensive materials, impressive quality control and as Hutchy is talking about - sick attention to detail. It’s not for everyone but for a few.
