chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearOH MY GOD I SUCK!!!!!!!!!! I missed one fairway, by about a foot, and shot a 44 on the front. I wasn't much better on the back with a 40 and two missed fairways. My short game was sooooooooooooooo bad I'm thinking about joining Mike in vacation from golf land. I was absolutely lacing the ball with my woods and my wedges were the exact opposite. I had the touch of a blacksmith today. I'm gonna hit the greenies or brownies or what ever color of beer bottle I can get my hands on and call it a day.

chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI'm too in love with my 300 now to go to a R7. No way I'm paying that kind of jack, it'll be 300 bucks in no time. The only thing that would maybe tempt me is a 510 DF, which are starting to get into my price range. I'm trying to decide if I want to scrap the 3 and 5 wood and play a 4 wood. :money:

chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearIt has been really dead lately. Not sure what the shot in the arm would be but it needs something. I think one of the problems is all the different time zones everyone is in. I thought the contests might help but they really haven't.

chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearBad writing on my part, I took it to the local repair shop. I just told them to put whatever was in it before and I picked it up with s-300 sensicore or at least that's the label on it. I haven't hit it yet but I loved the club before Pete Dye jacked it up.

chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI've been running two miles each morning this week so I've at least started doing something. Now I just need to hit a cycle of test and get back in the gym. JUst joking about the test but the gym wouldn't hurt. If I could just kick my coke habit (Coca-Cola). I swear I drink at least 3 a day. I got the wedge back and all looks good. I told them to put the same shaft in it as before and they slapped a sensicore in it. Is that standard for Celveland? I think they just wanted to charge me more

chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearIt was pretty stupid to hit hit it. I went from full speed to stopped right after impact. Surprisingly, it didn't even hurt a little bit. I know it's not because of all the time I've been putting in at the gym b/c that's a big fat zero :wah: I've thought about it and I'm the fattest out of shape I've ever been in and it's disgusting  I'm thinking of doing one of those Body of Life type constests between Kristin and me. I just need to come up with a great prize........

Can this be fixed??????????????
Thanks, guys. That's best case scenario for sure. The club is a 53* Cleveland Gunmetal that has the title of longest time in the bag. I'm glad I don't have to replace it.

chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearThanks! I'll take it up to the golf shop and see what they can tell me. I wish I could pull it myself but I'm clueless when it comes to reshafting.

chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearMy intial answer is I avoid them at all costs  However, it really depends on whats in front of me. The 62* is an option but usually a last resort.

chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearThey both have about 7 degrees of bounce. The 62 is a M grind and the 56 has more of an iron gring for playing from the fw and chipping. I never use the 62 from the fw and pretty much use it for flop or sand shots.

Can this be fixed??????????????
Had my ball in a FW trap lying right at the base of a RR tye that was raised out of the ground just a bit and here's the result. Can this be fixed? I cant tell if the hosel is bent or if the shaft is bent?

chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearActually, that's be number three. I tried an address pic and for some reason you can't see the bend. I took a bunch of different angle pics and those are the best examples. Here's my 56* Scratch and an address pic

chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI haven't holed out either  I bent the bejesus out of of my gap wedge a few weeks ago. I took some pics that I'll post when I get home. Damn Pete Dye and his f-ing railroad tyes! My ball was resting right on the edge of a sand trap and the tye was sticking out ever so slightly. I pulled a Tour caliber shot where basically I went at it 110% and made birdie. Long and the short of it I'm damn luck I didn't break anything but my wedge. It looks like the hosel is bent or the shaft is bent going into the hosel. I'm going to take it tomorrow to see if it can be fixed or if I have to order a new wedge. I tried playing w/o it and it just didn't work out. It seemed like every approach shot in I had I needed it. It's a Cleveland 53* gunmetal that I love but I've heard that they break easily if you try to bend them. Looks like it's gonna be :money:

chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI had friends in town so I'm working on little sleep. I had a decent round today with an 83 without making a single putt. I was two under on the par 5's and 7 over on the par 3's  Not too happy about that! It's going to be a long week considering that this weekend has gone by so fast.

chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI'm right there with you on that change! Where are you missing with the X, push or pull? I pulled my short putts with the X and I never pulled the freaktura. It was an unwelcome change for sure. The sonartec 5wd I got off E-bay was waiting for me at the door when I got home today. Can't wait to audition that bad boy. I'm not too sure about the shaft though. It's got the apache mfs in it and damn is that thing bright. I'm almost 99.9% convinced that the pro 95 is the best shaft ever for fw's so that be in there soon. Now if the RC is everything I've heard it is, it'll be a question of which club to pull 53* or 4 iron. :-D

Warming up B4 a round
I have to hit for a little while before the round. I usually start with a PW and half shots and then work my way up to the Driver. I finish with the club I know I'm going to use on the first tee. I try to get there 30-45 minutes before I tee off.

chainsaw replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI can't believe the wedge isn't there yet, that's a major bummer! I choked on a three footer on Sunday from 4 feet, I Mikelsoned it (hard lip out), so the red x is about to get buried in the desert and X will mark the spot. I can't remember missing those with the futura but I never made any long ones with the futura like I did with the X. So is life I guess, the putt was for 20 bucks too. :money: :wah:  :-) :yuk: I'm not bitter though
