Golds Factory Putters
i supose with the face being open would mean the actual loft will be less, its a lot of money so id want to get it right probably should get a old putter bent the same and see how it rolls. i do miss most of my bad putts left so it could be just what i need. I like the clean look of the tiger tribute putter not in to all those tungsten inserts all over the top of the putter. Do you know if your able to add the PZ milling to the tiger tribute?

What is currently the hottest Japanese Driver head?
You will love the Quadra, is that the FE? super smooth shaft kicks the ball out a bit lower than the crazy 80s. Have you had a chance to hit joes driver yet?

JBeam 425 Tour with Quadra FE Proto
It was head only im pretty sure thats the only way they sell them, umm it cost me a fair bit around the same as the Epon except the quadra is half the price of the crazy, played another nine holes this arvo the two drivers head to head again, there is not doubt the jbeam is longer its a beast!!............and im really loving the feel and sound of the jbeam its just so solid a bit like some tour issue divers i have had that were hot melted, maybe its the smoothness of the quadra over the whip cracking crazy that im liking but there's no doubt i will be playing the jbeam in the state champs next week, maybe i should alternate for the 4 rounds?

JBeam 425 Tour with Quadra FE Proto
Well my new toy arrived last week Jbeam 425 Tour with Quadra FE Proto 75X 10* square face angle 45.25 long at D4 ish, love the look of the smaller head more of a square blocky shape compared to the 102, on the driving range it was hard to get a feel for how it would perform a combination of s**t balls and a few adjustments to the swing after a lesson but overall i hit enough good ones to wet the appatite definatly jumps off the face and low..........Ok so yesterday i finaly found some time to take it onto the course i hit a multitude of balls off every tee also with the 9.5* 102 Crazy TJ80 for comparison this thing is loooong first 2 i almost drove par 4 of 300m ball flight was lower than the 102 but even with its low traj i still managed to carry the 102 on more than a few ocasions, this thing it so hot it catapults off the face and hits the ground like a rafa forehand......... and ultra accurate a cant think of one drive that i sprayed i was able to work it both ways quite easily. I love the sound of the jbeam/quadra really muted and meaty compared to th 102/crazy which has a more soft glassy feel i couldnt say id prefer one over the other both awesome, the more club head speed the better the jbeam felt/sounded i can see why the big hitters would like this head it just loves to be pounded. The Quadra Proto is a big improvement over the original as the zohan would say its "silky smooth".......... much like the original but less left side bias i didnt lose anything right like i use to with the original and it felt stouter to, i still prefer the Crazys i dont think anything comes close but the proto seams to suit this head quite nicely. Overall the jbeam was longer i hit a lot of of PBs on certain holes but the 102 wasnt far behind on a course with less run it could easily be reversed as the 102 has the perfect traj mid low spin and the 102 is more forgiving on off centre shots, either way i have 2 fantastic drivers............the problem now is deciding which one to play

Quadra Fire Express Proto in XX...
After plaiyng the Crazy in the driver for last 2 weeks i took the fire express out and i could feel it was noticably softer not sure about the proto but it should be stiffer than the old one i should get mine back tomorrow so i will let you know how it compares, i dont see why you couldnt tip it

What is currently the hottest Japanese Driver head?
God id be there every week if i was 10mins away, joes a top bloke you can get pretty much any shaft you want with epon, which can be a problem...........had many a sleepless night trying to make a decision on what shaft. Tell him you want bill skippers discount......haha he will probably double the price............."thats that f**k witt you wastes hours of my time on the phone" no seriously he will look after you. if you get to hit that qualazer shaft i want to hear what you think of it
-
What is currently the hottest Japanese Driver head?
that would have been the 101, you should go see him and have a hit of his 102 with the qualazer shaft he recons the best shaft by a mile even better than crazy/quadra hand made in japan apparently, i was tempted but without being able to demo i didnt want to take the risk as its a $6-$700 shaft and i was worried about resale if it didnt suit me, so i decided to stick with the Crazy/Quadras. If you ever get over to Perth your welcome to have a hit of my 101,102 and jbeam drivers i notice you play a similar flex to me, the 102 is a major cannon would be my pick for the hottest driver but could all change once the jbeam is shafted up

What is currently the hottest Japanese Driver head?
Yeah its Joe at clubmaxx golf who is the distributor for Epon in Australia

Sending my putter head to Sasaya-san
yeah its a little on the heavy side but it doesnt bother me keeps the stroke nice and smooth, the only problems i have with it are when the greens are quick in some of the open tornies and club champs etc, but i plan to put the scotty buttonback in play for those rounds

Difference between JBeam FX 425 head and Crazy (JBeam) FX 435?
JBeam 425 head arrived yesterday 10* Quadra Fire Express Proto 75X is whats i will be shafting with, first impresions are definatly more compact than the Epon 102..............and boy it looks sexy at address, i would rate it one of the best looking heads i have seen. Cant wait to get this bad boy on the course, i will give further updates next week once its back from the club fitter I would think stew would be the best man to ask on comparisons between the 435 and 425 i think hes had quite a few of these

epon 302 help....,
Stew i hve the same problem, got 4 to pw AF tours and added the 302 3iron to the set. at times my swing does tend to get a bit steep and when it does it makes the 302 unplayable with the AF tours i can get away with a few but the 302 is very unforgiving on the steep angle, but iv hit some fantastic shots with it when the swings on song. a good tip is to keep your hands in front of your chest, that way you stay more conected. works for me when i have this problem...........il bet you block your driver to? all caused by the body disconecting from the arms

To All Our TSG Friends and Their Families
I was listening to a nuclear expert today on tv and he recons they still have it under control to the point that there is zero threat on human lives, something like you have to stand outside the front gates for 50 days to equate to the normal radiation levels you would recieve in a normal year. But there are a lot of conflicting reports coming out from the various media stations, lets hope hes right

Low Bounce High Bounce Wedges
took the vokey 58/8 out this arvo and i can see why so may pros bag em.................a lot easier to spin from the fairway with the lower bounce i was really geting it to shoot and skip out low and with some serious spin, only downfall was cast head not even close to the feel of the Forged JDM wedges, but it does get the job done and due to the pure contact i was geting it was a lot easier to control to distance. What i need now is a JDM 56-58 around 8ish bounce M grind and im set!! Maybe i should go and sell the house for some custom golds factorys!

Epon AF-Tour vs Miura 1957 Baby Blades vs ?

Low Bounce High Bounce Wedges

Low Bounce High Bounce Wedges
Yeah it a very similar style from the grass what it does is really frees the arms up, with the bunker flop shot you would aim at the pin but with wide stance and back leg behind the left closed off a bit, ball position out off the front foot and club face 1/2 open, then you basicly use plenty off wrist cock on the back swing and follow through really whiping the hands through for a more standard bunker shot you set up much the same with the wide stance and weight on the left side but legs more level not closed off With the normal chip/pitching off grass its not as extreme he just tries to get me to get the weight on the left leg feet closer together aiming at the target and to really feel like your pressing down through the ball not coming up and out off the shot which usually causes the dreded scoop or drop kick. What the aim is with all these chiping/pitching styles is to get the ball to spin straight............not all the side spin which i was getting with the old style, it may have looked good with the ball spining madley all over the place but ist very hard to control. If you really get satisfaction out off spining the s**t out off everything then this probably isnt for you but one thing i have noticed is how i hole out a lot more now. The bunkers iv seen a instant improvement but the chiping around the green has taken a while to feel comfortable with the ball checking and releasing to the hole its been a lot harder to get used to and is still a work in progress.
