Fourteen Wedges
yes ltd model on issue they were a rediculous price. i got a few sets of these for a rainy day. all differnt shafts DG spinners im using is weekdn make a hole in the space time continuum with spin which i need on the course im playing , the greens are rediculously fast..! the modus 120s are really nice match the stock dg wedge play perfecty ok. but dull. NS wv 125 are prob the best mach tho. these are very heavy and spin is very big. inhawaii a cpl of yrs back they were quite magnificent. they come away with me every year. bend them for mtheir stock 48-53-58 to , as u see

Shimada Tour x vs Nippon SPB x
sp blue we all know what they are about.. if ur strong. hit very high these are great shafts, they are very sturdy . the shimadas are a mid low flight def NOT high, but not as low as the SP. in stiff they feel great,. in x they are a bit harsher noticeably so hard stepped stiffs i think is a good idea with these. they are pretty straight as well, had them in stiff ina set of miuraisms al lthsoe yrs back just a perfect match never remeber to get these any more no idea why. hmm might give them another whirl actually shimadas 120s. super shafts IMO

iron lofts thoughts...,

iron lofts thoughts...,
in a set of say cavity players heads like the prgr idbl 46* is fine bec its not a really pinpoint scoring weapon but in a set of blades i want the pw to be deadly. which is why i uttery detest offset pws. it totalyl defeats the point of beng able to think a shot and hit it .. a PW shud be clsoe to zero as is possbile. IMO i wud happliy drop every pw fro mevery bag ive got , seriosuly if i cud get a zero offset pw head that i like the srixon is clsoe but its pretty full too full realy the yururi is clsoest but again too much offset to be perfect. still looking!!

iron lofts thoughts...,
i say this bec i played my kamui pros recently , loved them. but i want to grind off the 4-pw numbers and put lofts on them instead 44* is insane for a PW i kept fkking up my distances. i really do like using spefic wedges tho. and with a 44*,( lets call it the highest lofted club......) i get to use a yururi pw bent to 48* , and a set 52-56-60 wedges. the diff in spin between the yururi and kamui is so big . the diff in shape really makes u think uve got a specifi wedge in ahnd with it i prefer traditional lofts bec of the pw conundrrum. but this set up really works ok .
-
iron lofts thoughts...,
pw traditional 47/48 * then 52-56 -60 wedge set up kinda thing or pw at the new fangled lofts of 44-46* and play just to 5 iron then match ur own special wedges accordingly ? i was ALWAYS more traditonal favoured but im getting to think theres more to the new way than meets the eye esp with the vast array of sepcialsit wedges thesee days can get a 47-50 50 then play specialised clubs more than a generic head. i think the pW is the wicked iron of most sets this cud be a very good thing thoughts??

blade choices of recent times ............
if u like a slightly larger head , not much but slightly, and a diff neck line then yes. the 909 stil llooks more of a scoring weapon, but the srixon is easier to play and a fuller feel. it think tis like a roided up 905 actually!

blade choices of recent times ............

Egg1 VS Egg 7 comparison test 7.5* vs 9*
no, ive not hit it , il ltake a peek tho weve only palyed my home course in gunma on sat where im (semi) allowed to enjoy myself hitting balls, and nishinasuno. ifi can grab a day of this week i might take him out to chiba to a tourny course and see if he can beat the club record. , but the weather is crappy again nad its a waste of a ton of coin if its not great weather,

blade choices of recent times ............
yes i did indeed......! drivers. the egg 7 and egg 1 i cudnt split and the astro tour amazing distance. that hing aint going anywhere wdges were an old set of prgrs. from 4-5 yrs back, easily the best suited to me was knockingt hem dead the week before,(think a combo of touratge x and bolds..!) irons were tough t osay either the masdas or the srixons. matter snot i think the masdas were nicer of the spongier grass, and the srixpns are nicer on the ahrder grass. hence why the srixons will come on hols OS with me. but mid summer u wont get th masdas outa my hands i can assure you. farway woods, the egg spoon is un real i got that dialed in so wel now its an automatic bag choice( the new model) itsp lenty long, not AS long as tghe original but close enough nad in 16.5* is a great coice to get the ball higher and softer fro mth blue tees its a no brianer, from the blacks i can use the old egg for a bit more run. ok they are a LOT nice to look at at address than both the old tourstage bec of thisssue of the neckline the touratge cavity 909 and 905 muscle design is the best design of a MB ever. what srixon did was use that as a base and evolve it made it a bit easier to hit , they REALLY did a good jopb on this, if u like the tourstage u will love the srixons i predirct. esp if u like a rounder neck line and less offset. the only reaon im not playing those old tourstage is bec the neckline is awkward to my eye the srixons fixed that with these unlessprgr come out with a blade then ill be done for clubs this year

NS modus 125 iron shafts
yea they are a good set and that macth shud be a good set. they are in the agrind blades and they are a very serious set of bats i cant have a bad day with them so i think i cud make use better on them in a softer head and put a smoother set in the a-grinds to make them a bit friendlier. this combo asks as many questions of my swing as any club ive ever hit. i can do with just a bit more forgivenes..! i find the weight of them, ok, coming off 130s its not such a big thing , its the stifffness that is the key here. they are WAY tighter than the 130s. these are prob the most pro esque shaft ive hit. a lot more so than the 120x. of the dgx100 its about finding the right balance, and soft stping them is prob a great idea bec they really are a tuff ask in X.

Egg1 VS Egg 7 comparison test 7.5* vs 9*
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooook, i played BOTH eggs sat and hit, well lets just say a lot ........ of drives, not on some fwit random number generator POS machine thing, it was on one of those things called a course where theres that stuff called wind , and grass and trees , and anlges to contend with that actually . really do afect ones thinkng and results. . so it was WAY way closer than i thought. distance was identical. Chiro and i wre laughing when we walked down the 16th par 5 and looked to find both balls were sitting, and no exageration here.. 4 feet apart dead centre of fairway exactly the same distance. i mean to the inch. i hit both off the screws, perefct flight pefect stirkes. OLD MODEL egg7 is 9* and closed 0.5* diamana alisie 83s 44.5inch NEW MODEL the egg1 is 7.5* and sqaure. diamana X 70s 44.5 inch how about .............identical distance as a result. yup cant beelvie it but its true So i think the old egg is easier to hit . its also (obv.) easier to draw its its more consistant , its very hard to hit a slice fade with and its a matter of mental dexterity to make oneself aim further right ever hole. the feel is a bit more tinnnnnnnnnnnnng like and it doesnt quite have the ooomph the new model has at impact. thats a combo of the shaft material and the face of the clubs. the better overall constant feel is the old one, BUT off the dead centre , the egg 1 is amazing. wins by some going away..... launch is pretty similar. the 9* prob goes a little higher . but its splitting hairs. but yea prob a smll bit higher . these are my gamers this year, it wil take a "miracle" to dislodge either of them im not sure what better sutied for what course, although i think im slightly more consistant with the old model. i prob need a bit more time with the new one ithink fantastic drivers. theese are as good as ive made and rate A++++++

A-GRIND Classic Driver vs T388 by S-Yard
i played both these over the weekend as well. i honestly cant believe it but its true, the a-grind is equal to, at least .........., the s-yard for launch u cant play this with another driver in the bag at the same time like i like to, its defiantly like a one tirck pony. too hard to get yr head around swaping backand forwards. easily one of the best loking heads ive seen, i think the syard is easier to hit , goes longer, but snap hooks are MUCH easier to do. both of these are for certian players , i can imagine them not being liked by a HUGE segemnt, but loved by another.

NS modus 125 iron shafts
OK so i dont hit the ball very high , i hit it pretty flat it seems and normally with a slight fade bias. so ULTRA low launch shafts for me are not the best sutied as much as i love say NS sp blue or tolerate c-tapers on links , i think im better served elsewhere and prob why i gravitate so earnestly towards the NS range bec. quite simply put , NS genreally tend to go higher. NS said these were made for the btter stirker with input form the pros , if so it wud seem they werent kidding, these things are taught baby..! They have some, hmmmmmmmmmm how to explain it..... maybe like a (semi) good playable feel to them albiet it very high frequency ting feeling and the harder u hit them the better the feleing is (mine are X flex and they cud be better served soft stepped i think ) but ive no real issue with them tbh, ilike them like that. The horrid rod like feel in general of an X flex shaft is semi there but not a bad as others. They are extremely striight shooters. and launch very low for an NS shaft. Ive found them to be uber straight , its extremely dificult to get cute with them and very hard(almst imposibe to snap hook them) they are easily........easily as penetrating as the SP blues but a slightyl nicer feel, as a palcebo i was also hitting a set of NS ST x, on the same day and the differnce was extreme to say the least. ( gimme the ST any day for smooth sailing..!!!!) but they are no where near as tight. miles easier to play, miles nicer to play If i were NS intentions to make shaft comporable to the DG range well they have ABSOLUTELY made a comporable players equivalent, extra weight , tighter arcs, lower flight but without the extra hashness of say the dgs400, x100 or SP blue . Even in a denser forged head they wre tolerable and like say SP blue in ENDO forged heads, id think these wil be MAGIC.. IMO.............. these hsafts are NOT the best sutied to the denser combo, same as SP blues arnt perfeclty matched. but with a softer mizuno, ENDO, yurri kinda guuush feel and these will be im sure a dream match, they wil llower the flight a bit , tightten them up and feel great with soft head. hence why i mthinkng of pulling them and reshafting a set of ENDO heads with them they play brillianllty in blades , but i just gotta get the best suited feel first. think i got a good idea of what to do with them. soft step them into a set of idbls. (think i might have just found my holiday touring set !)
