  1. My clubuilder is not just a builder ,he works for a small clubmaker here in tok. they are not famous ,they will never get a level of decent interest amongst anyone out side asia. i wudnt have thought but i assure you he makes really good interesting clubs, they certianly AINT on the cheap side. but his customers are pretty vast here in tokyo on a semi underground type of level . now you all know what premium i place on my builders work . his work is faultless to a tee. he loves his job, he worked on an enormous amount of clubs and has seen everythign there is i pretty much wont use anyone esle, bec well when u see the work attention to minut detail and the specs he gives, theres no point. so last night, i was talking to him at great length about building me a ryoma v-spec at about 43.5-44 inch with my brand new diamana KAILI 100 gram proto shaft ive been keeping for a "rainy day" i just cant get what want to put this thing into. so we were deliberating the ryoma build. turns out the problem is the balance point ( which is very differnt to the kick point........) is high to make the shaft play lighter and smoother than it actually is and with this shaft its impossible to get a swing weight over d1. get this at 44 inch id have to make the ryoma head 215 grams, ( its 199 at mom) and the otal build weight wud be 350+ grams....................350!!!!!! oh my gawwwwwwwwwwd! a normal 3 wood is mid 330s! we were thinking about it but it was just too much of a risk to cut this and have it fail miserably so he knows im heading home in a week or so, he says.. ok check this .... he bring out his own prototype "normal" 3 wood head tungsten base 10.5* 3 wood. do u wanna try it ?? i know this will be incredible for you at home. bec the kasco can get caught up in the breeze and balloon a bit in the wind. which he klnows...., i ahve trouble wit hthe diamanaB shaft in it he unwraps it say here try it , bring me that bimatrix steel tip blue shaft in yr callway ERC. THAT will be quite a good match for what u want. NO movement laterally. point shoot low and run. we considerd all manner of FW shafts , the diamana B .. the ahina(next choice) the FEX, diamana X (too low too hard).. so the bimatrix he thinks wil give bit of height with frozen rope like performance. it will be built by the weekend so i cantest it prior to taking it home,. veyr very excited by the potential of this very excited..,
  2. on the yonex, yes.., , in hand u go , whoa dragon , what the , how hte hell did ishikawa hit these?? then u put em down and they are TINY...... thin miniscule razor baldes. even the PW looks straight at addresss. how chiba-san ddi ntaht i dotn know bec htey seriolsy look rediculous in hand. ive stil got a set in sdyney with the NS proto c10s ill be playing in a week. they are my manly GC irons. dont have to hit the ball far. but accurate to a fault. the PDG i mthinking might be VERY simlar, they ahave an almsot ideantical design o nthe back, but will be softer. that to me ....... is the golden apple...,
  3. thansk steve , that similar to the yonex ezone baldes from a cpl of yrs back, they look like buckets but most emphatically are not. ive shafted up a cpl of 2010 PW and bent them from 46* to 48 and 49 and play them with my stronger lofted irons, as soon as i hit them i remembered how good these are theyre cant be a softer , smoother feel in al of golf. the ball is mush but it doesnt get lost on the face like a few other soft clubs i find. hence my peeked interest on thee PDG thngs

  19. that the weird thing about these TS wedges , they arnt hard , they come off very soft dense................ like the epon zen. feels............ hard to accuratly describe it perfectly but i was like , what the ???????? this is from tourstage?????? i love it. even with the dgs200 they were "oomphy" they arnt delicate surgical scalpals. they are all rounders. i tell you what i think they feel like..... the yururi tours. but. with a denser (not harder .............,) denser feel. the marus i didnt re weight . i just put tip weights in the x-100 shafts give em abit of ooomph. and weight
  20. ive got them all. they are all very differnrt. they are all very nice to roll. WHEN.....................................!@!!! i had my normal putting stroke on song. the zen was amazing. as spoon sid its like frozen butter. the yamada is a veyr nice putter as well. isent min to egt customed and it cam back out of this world. depeer grind on face softeened the feel up on slow greens thsi is beautiful. the 133 has prob the softest feel of them all tho. ilost my touch with ansers comletley so iddint get the best for mthis but the one match i played with it and range session it was like hitting a marshmallow. balance was great. milling is magnificent. my reccomedation is............ get them all.!
  21. oh my gawwwwd. i hope we get this, i might just bite at that

    slahed pricing want them gone!!!!!!
  25. as most know... i love the tourstage marus . so ill always cast an intereted eye on anything wedge wise, tourstage puts out. the last cpl of wedges have been good without standing out in any way to me, ive been left a litttle underwhelmed but the 2013 forged wedge .............. immediatly caught my eye....... and wallett..! these are absolutely delish.......... i think these might be the nicest impact wedge ive EVER hit, and those that know what ive got, , prob know thats a bold staement indeed.. yamaha forged, epon kgx, vokey forged, a host of small named ones. syard.................. marus...! they all fall into second place, bec these take the cake. i hit them with the stock dg200 adn they were great then moved the NS protos st X into them nad they are now on a differnnt cloud completlely. they are VERY pear shaped. maybe close to the most ive seen, a lot more rounded all over, kind of reminscent of the yururi 1.618 shape. but with a LOT more substance and volume to them than the yururi. (but no where near the spin.) they have a thicker top line and a small compact head which. is prob how they get their incredible feel. the sole is a very intereting.......... its a kind of wedge shape flared more at the toe than the heel. to make opening it up easy and sliding under the ball more versatile. it does this very well indeed, from tight lies its extremely good to get under and to pop the ball up. the bounce on my 52 adn 56 is 8 and 10. hardly high nor low bounce. somewhere in between . my other gamers are the bolds at 10 and 14 nad the marus 5 and 8. so these are just dead set jack of all trades. performance............ well thsi is were they get thumbs up and down. firstly spin. harldy fear inducing. on full shots they are good. c i an make them sing, but i can on pretty much all wedges on full shots. but these wont back up off the green ala yururi. they are more like the 2011 yamaha i think.., give them enough adn they will go for sure ,,but ur prob not going to be pulling bits of ur ball out of the grooves. the 52 ive found to be as close to my perfect shoot at the pin wedge of all time. , ive only gamed these twice. and it will be a tough brave call for me already to take this one out.. when u just get on with something , when it clicks, well u gotta run with it. i have supreme confidence with it, clipping from green edge runnign it up. to full 105 ayrd shots, i just love it. it suits perfectly. the 56 i s a bit ....... interesting.................. bec its thicker it isnt quite as dynamic as others. it doesnt spin as much and its not as versatile. but even tho it doent do antyhing better than my others all round it just does it s job with aplomb. ive had no isssues at all with it . but its not THE top peformer in any class. but over all it just works perfeclty. from sand . well thisis where im really like it a lot. as said its not the spinniest wedge ive got and bec of that it isnt really great for pop drop shots from close quarters , not that that really matters bec id use the shingo fo that anwyay... but for slightyl longer shots its fantastic... can open it up abd slide her under adn she kind of just pops out adn rolls a bit. again i think ive got better. but for an all purpose set of versatile wedges. in any condition its hard to go past these, especailyly if u like a pear shape and a longer hosel shaped wedge. i cetianly do.. an these will get many a round going forward. for a " ive only got one set of wedges" ill put these right at the top of the list to look hard at. me likey...., a lot !
