hmmmmm ... yes as I said the idea is good but the product isn't what WE here expect to see/play. as disappointing as it is materials wise, the putter ( the eagle model) really does work well its tough to love Nobs,, but it does a good job. -
well ......, it depends on your swing path, ive spent yrs going from a fade push swing where a closed head was good for me to a " baseball style hit it over left field swing for more power" swing and ifi use a closed head now its pretty much game over for me left side if I don't hit it well. I tend to really hook it and as we know......... you can talk to a slice , but a hooker wont listen. and even with the best of shafts it still goes too left so I really have to aim right to make the ball centred. its tough to do consistently. so that's why I have gone back to square. that way my misses are equal. a slightl y stiffer shaft makes the dispersion tighter but I loose some distance, which im ok with

yes, and no, not the new rose one but the original blade shape axis 1, ive had had that in play for several years and had 2 of my all time best putting days with it. it does what it says, its totally face balanced so the only mistakes it makes are by the user. unfortunatly its made of very cheap looking steel and the finish doesn't hold up very well. and feel is pretty ordinary BUT.................... results are results and this delivers, when I play monthly medal rounds I still use this bec quite simply its given me the best results of all, it just looks like a cheap bike frame and not what were used to seeing in terms of quality. so I benched it. the directed force is new and I didn't game it , only had it on the practice greens, I really liked it eventually ......, it took a little while to get used to the slant forward of the shaft and grip but you can adjust it to any shape that fits ur swing best. I was caught between 32 inch and 36 inch both of those worked equally well. the head has a unique feel...... of the two f them I think id prob go for the axis even tho I like the head shape of the directed force better and it really rolls the ball straight but I found distance control a little inconsistent but ive only had the one sessionwith it so it doesn't mean a thing really. im confident if I got one it wud perfrom extremely well, especialy if like I, u don't mid those sort of heads. the axis distance control is as good as anything ever IMO, bec its a bit lighter and it plays like a blade putter. but with more forgiveness when u get hot with the axis u can get really ,really good results . hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm you might just have spiked my interest again In the direct force................... -
saw those. they were close but the winner was the 2012 onoff 247. lovely looking heads. big open face , pocket cavity, MINIMAl offset thick top line, tall head with plenty of room to miss the centre and a semi thick sole. cud easily play these myself. great set of shimada 7001s as well. heck of a set up I think. didn't relasie the conundrum faced by the masses is chossing a set of clubs, irons were a bit tought but the driver was ridiculous, I mean u have sot sift thru tousands of similar heads , then try and match a shaft... I was looking at the stock off the shelf ping g400 with diamana 60s, that looked insanely easy to hit but the price for a used one at 45k was rediuclous!!!!!! so I settled for a 2000s mid teens onoff 9* driver with roddio tataki 40 s @ 303 grams 45 inch, 9* to keep if from ballooning and the light but stiff shaft to keep it on the short stuff more oft than not, I predict this will be used for a year then hell move into a bit more oomph. fairways were simple: 16.5* egg spoon and 21* egg 7w and a big old royal collection sw. looks like a heck of a set for the beginneresque.

come back to the dark.side .. you will never be bored.. got a nice set of honmas with ur name on em!

another set that I really liked ( prob more for me ) but AFAIK is aimd at the higher capper are the fourteen tc888.. decent size head. HUGE cavity perimeter weighted, but with a fairly thin sole. I used to play and live the old fourteen tc 1000 and loved the feel, as sweet as any but the pw was a shovel, offset wise I used to leave it off the set and take a yururi pw instead, the rest of the set was so sweet .. this newer model is MILES more easy on the eye.. these are worth a peek then some!

Probably close to , if not THE............................sexiest set of irons I think ive ever seen! was out trying to put a bag together for a mate (mid 20s cappper) man its SO HARD theres so much utter shiiiiiiiitttttte to sift thru , then I found these. they have to be the nicest looking set I think ive seen . colour scheme is great, shape................ get this , a PEAR shaped GI!! I couldn't believe it , wafted thru about 10000000000000 sets of GI by TM. callaway. XXIO, PING and Srixons most of them so were massive I had a hard time processing them so none of them but none really took my eye.. then these JUMPED out at me along with a set of MIURA cb3001s from about 1860... they were GREAT. so its down to these 3 the XXIO 3rd pic ( below) were eye catching as well... tough decision!!! not cheap granted but what a set to have!
