Lexus ISF
Hi Guys Thought I would share some thoughts on my new car. Previously had a 1992 Mercedes E220 which pretty much was ready for the scrap heap. Creaking and groaning at every turn. Looked at quite a few and ended up stuck between the Lexus GS 350 like Chris's and the Lexus ISF. After much consternation and discussions with car nuts Chris and Tario decided on the ISF. It is a 4 seater and I have a 5 person family. Winning move to start with. Man it is a nice car. Not too flash which is what I like and boy it is fast. Very comfy and handles like a dream and have I mentioned the sound. Fabulous especially when it opens up at high revs. Not quite as comfy as the GS but more than makes up for it performance and fun wise. Not quite as quick as the Merc C63 AMG but definately quicker than the BMW's. Have enclosed a few photos including the baby seat in the back and also proof that it does fit both a buggy and a set of clubs.

UPDATED Oct 10th: Custom Mizunos from Yoro Craft Thread
These arrived today and they look absolutely stunning. Played 9 holes after work and I truly think my days of experimentation are over. (At least with irons.) these sit perfectly and play as soft and nice a feeling as anything I have ever hit. I think the Modus 3 shafts are also a perfect match. Can't see myself hitting anything else for a long while.

NS PROTOTYPE ORA + YONEX ezone MB blades 3-pw +wedges
Mate can't believe no love for the heads yet. As you know I rate these heads to be at the very top of the tree. Not much better in my opinion. Hopefully someone will take them off your hands soon.

UPDATED Oct 10th: Custom Mizunos from Yoro Craft Thread
Mate I certainly hope so but the isms well I do love them. Hopefully will have them next week so will give a full report soon after that. Have any of the other custom Mizunos posted their thoughts on them. Interested if fellow TSG ers find them to play as good as they look.

the big kahoonas .............., driver length
Hi I Drive How did you rate it feel wise in your vast experience of JDM Drivers. Are you going to keep trying it ? I love the feel of it but compared it today against the Crazy 435 and it is a fair bit shorter. Going to try a different shaft as risk Versus reward just not there for me.

the big kahoonas .............., driver length
Quick update after yesterday Epon 1 Craig Zero Sweet spot on this thing similar to the female G spot. Even scientists debate its existence. And I cant find either

the big kahoonas .............., driver length
Finally got around to hitting my Epon Zero today shafted with Crazy Boron S. Have hit Supos Zero in Melbourne a month or 2 ago and absolutely loved both the look of it and the feel. I rate it as both the best looking And best feeling head that I have played. After hitting Supos was lucky enough to pick one up. I think I am the third owner and this is the 3rd continent this head has been on. I absolutely loved it today. Up till now I have not found a use for the Crazy Boron shaft and have tried it in everything. x flex,S flex and R flex. I seriously thought it might make a nice pool cue as I just did not get on with it. In the zero it is a winner for me. Extremely low launching and it just runs and runs and runs. So far can't say a bad word about it. It is not an overly long driver but is by no means short. Just cant say enough aboutbhow good it looks and feels. Interestingly so far I have gotten the best results withnkeeping the ball teed low I think though that the bad swing day though will make interesting reading.

Mate I have some DGS 200 shafts if you would be interested in a straight swap. Can include some tomato plants as a sweetener if it helps seal the deal.

New Ryoma Special Tuning Driver
Been giving this driver a solid workout since my initial post. Second impressions are even better than my initial ones. This is a seriously long driver. Much much longer than it's conforming predecessor and probably as long as the Crazy 435 maybe even longer. Higher launching than the original with both more carry and run. It is also as forgiving. I still don't like the feel of it but my brick comment may have been a tad harsh. Maybe a small soft brick. As far as shafts go I love the Royal Dec shaft but think that maybe for me a different shaft in thisnhead may work better for me. My playing partner actually made this comment and I think he may be right. Will keep at it though for the moment as it is so long I am hesitant to change. Against the original I would say it is at the very least 1 club longer and probably 2 clubs longer. Am going to pit it against the original with Royal Dec shaft and get more accurate numbers for those thinking of trying it.

New Ryoma Special Tuning Driver
My new Ryoma arrived yesterday and I have given it a pretty solid workout. 9.5^ with Crazy Royal Dec I think the king of Drivers distance wise is the Crazy 435 and I have 2 of them. What better test for the new Ryoma than to test it against the big boys head to head. So far for me there is no Driver which comes close to the 435 distance wise. Accuracy well that's another question. The 435 is made for much better players than me, but that does not stop me dreaming that one day....... The new Ryoma is long. Certainly much longer than the original and maybe yes 20- 30 yards longer while still almost as forgiving. So far I would say it is possibly as long as the 435. I think it would be a toss up. Certainly it is longer than any other setup that I have except of course the 435. It plays similar to the original just goes further. Really surprising in that the ball does not look or feel smashed but it is a long way down the fairway The only disappointment so far is that I don't like the feel of it. I have never hit a brick on the end of a graphite shaft before but I imagine this is what it would feel like. Very interested in other users think the same feel wise. Next test will be the Epon zero with a Crazy Boron Initial impressions for me is very positive.

What wedges do you like best/why
We are blessed at the moment with an absolute abundance of quality wedges both conforming and non conforming. I have tried most of them and all these mentioned are truly good stuff. My personal favorites are the Yururi Raw with Crazy steel wedge shafts but I must admit I would be happy to use any of about 12 different brands. Like Fairway woods I think hit whatever you like best as there is no real holy grail of wedges. Further to this I think the Geotech wedges are by far the best bang for your buck.

MIURAISM sb-01 heads 3-pw
Just thought I would throw in my 2 bobs worth as I have a set of these with Shimada Tour shafts. Am no great golfer and I can say that these are nowhere near the hardest blades to hit and I have hit quite a few. For some reason the sweet spot is easy to find. Don't know why as it defies all logic cause they are tiny. At first they are intimidating to the point of scary but in no time they start to look normal. Anyone contemplating them should snap them up and should not be put off as being too difficult to hit. Hope this may help someone

Driver shaft to match Nippon Modus 3?
Hi mate At the golf show the guys there told me that they have a Driver shaft coming out very soon with the exact characteristics as the modus 3 shafts. I love these shafts and that is how they told me. cant remember the name of it though. Supo was with me so he may remember

EGG Spoon....im so late to the party
I agree The Egg both old and new is a game changer. To those who cant hit it I suggest keep trying until you can as the end result is worth it. Like Idrive I have also tried a lot of different fairway woods but the Egg always comes out on top. Like a lot of people I don't particularly like the look of it or it's sound but when I see where the ball ends up.... All is forgotten The Ryoma Driver I also think is a game changer especially for the average golfer. It's distance and accuracy is awesome. The better players may not get the same benefit but to all us average players out there it is peerless. Some of my playing partners can't hit the Egg either and I think it is certainly due to trying to overhit it. As Supo says just hit it and let the club do the work. The interesting thing is many of our learned colleagues on this site all report going back to the Egg and how foolish it was to try and better it.
