  1. I have 3 fairway woods that i Use. The original Egg is the distance champ and I pretty much use it as my standard FW. Reliable, easy to hit, straight and longggggggg..... The Ryoma is what I use if I am playing a course where I need the carry. Not as long as the Egg, but it gets up high and gets up quick. Both these I have found to be not so good off the tee so my 3rd FW is like a rotisserie. At the moment it is the Crazy, tomorrow it may be the Yamaha and then... Well who knows. I think that after these 2 the rest are all pretty similar. Whatever you like the look of, or the colour of or because it sounds like your first girlfriend.. Not much difference between them. I did hit the Romaro 3 wood of actiona in Hawaii and it may force me to change my mind. I dont have one.. Yet but am intending to. To me the original Egg and the Ryoma are standouts, for different reasons, and neither is the perfect all round club.
  2. Sometimes great ideas come from the strangest places. Up to T though
  3. I like the putter. Looks horrific, feels worse but does perform. Dont use it much just because... Well I dont know why. Maybe if Sasaya would take it on for a refurb.
  4. Excellent write up Make sure you keep the updates coming
  5. Good luck with the sale. Looks like you are going to have wacko in 2014.
  6. Great write up Make sure you keep us all up to date In my opinion anything Egg is a serious club
  7. Absolutely, thats where the new design and technology comes in. Couple that with custom fitting for a combo that does just that and BINGO The combos that I have hit the longest drives ever with are ones that I just cant get on with consistantly enough. The Maxima is the classic example. I cant hit a barn door with it. I have to take my passport every time I take it out. The Crazy 435 as well thou not to the same degree. The Crazy 435 is the classic example that newer may not necessarily be longer or better I think it is still the king of the jungle
  8. As a general rule I do believe that heads and shafts are getting both more forgiving and longer. Very slowly mind you. It is just the natural progression of improved design, better materials and better manufacturing processes. Same thing is happening in all aspects of our lives. Look at computers and mobile phones. Even golf balls. Having said that I think the Driver technology is almost maxed out. I think one of the biggest factors in the longest and best argument is more and more people getting custom fit. Makes a huge difference in my opinion
  9. Yeah but you gotta admire his persistance
  10. some great shaft suggestions there. Pretty sure over the next week you can try them all
  11. I am actually waiting to see them as well
  12. From my experience this is one of the longest drivers I have ever hit. However I have yet to see any forgiveness at all with it. To be honest I can barely hit a fairway with it. And that is no exaggeration.
  13. Ueah I really like these. Probably why I have a lifetimes supply
  14. There are quite a few good stores there all selling used topnotch gear. Got my credit card statement to prove it. Cant remember their names, golf para and others all within 10 mins walk of each other. And all easy access from one of the main stations. Hopefully supo or Tario can chime in for you
  15. I cant disagree with that
  16. Having both and with swing speed similar I would say the XV. I dont like the head but think you need more ss for the 435II. The Crazy guys rate the 435II as forgiving and draw biased. I have not found that to be true.
  17. Great write up You is going to have some fun with those. One cant say you didnt start with the cream
  18. I have seriously never looked at this driver. With those comparisons it might be time I did. Please keep us all up to date as to how it goes
  19. Now that review will be something else Best of luck with it all
  20. Cant wait for another persons view on the 450 Versus the Maxima. I find it difficult to recommend gear as I do feel bad if it doesnt work out. So hopefully I wont get that feeling here.
  21. I can give a big thumbs up for the new Crazy 450. I dont think it is as long as the Maxima, its close though, but for me it is much more forgiving. At this stage I just cant hit enough fairways with the Maxima. I can barely hit a fairway. The new Crazy 450 is a higher lofted head than I usually hit and the increased launch is I think a big factor of why I really like it. I havent hit the new TRPX heads.......... Yet The big sleeper of all the Crazy stuff I got fitted for has been the hybrid. I like it a lot, but havent used it enough to really give it a big plug yet. It is certainly promising though.
  22. Come on Tario. Such a nice putter deserves more photos
  23. True, theres not much that can beat the old original Egg. Hope it goes well for you
